I was pretty much guaranteed to be watching Hockey Night in Canada on CBC when I wasn’t running around with friends. Red Wings were featured quite a bit, and Bob Cole was one of the best. One of the NHL video games I owned had Bob Cole on the PBP, and it was amazing.
Congrats JJ! I hope you get a year under your belt to learn and starting in year 2, you tear it up to the tune of 350 yds/3TD’s a game…and finish 5-12 until you leave the NFC North to be reunited with Jim again, and you carry each other to the Super Bowl for the LAC.
Yeah they’re about the last base that should be getting on a soapbox and pointing the finger at others for minor transgressions. Yet they are doing a fine job of doing so and avoiding their reflection in the mirror.
Tigers opponents are 3-17 this season, so I’m going to try to hold off on getting excited. But after the last several seasons of pathetic starts, I’ll take it.
That’s more cope than I can handle. I’m sure if this were basketball and Michigan owned them in the season series and won the big ten titles, but lost to them in the Elite Eight, they would think it was the greatest thing ever.
Whatever makes them sleep better at night I guess.
Yeah one of my buddies was sure getting a big head after winning those conference titles, but he really hated the thought of having to play us again. To his credit, he has been a diehard hockey fan through their lean times, so I feel for him ever, and I mean ever so slightly, but I couldn't stomach the thought of MSU coming out of nowhere to win it all, and taking us out along the way. He will be so pissed when I see him at my kids soccer practice tomorrow. I sure as hell won’t be :)
Have your season series victory Sparty, have your B1G regular season and tourney titles, we will take another Frozen Four banner with a chance for the big prize anyday. Buh bye State!
Yeah, I think Izzo deep down will feel much more validated as a coach who won it all more than once, and I do believe him when he says he will die trying.
Excited for this new chapter in Michigan basketball. Might be two years worth of Year 0 depending on NIL and the transfer game, but I think he will get it turned around.
I try pretty hard not to point my finger at the refs, but after seeing yesterdays game, and some of the bs calls going on in the NCAA hoops tournament, it’s really getting frustrating to see so many missed calls that are easily observable for me sitting and watching on the couch.
