I was gifted White Sox fandom by my father. Though I did get a WS in my lifetime, I'm fully out until they sell the team or Jerry Reinsdorf is gone (possibly immortal?). Allowing Jason Benetti to go to the Tigers was the last straw. Enjoy that man and appreciate him like Reinsdorf should have. I hope he's your guy for 40 years. He's phenomenal.

I am here at Tiger Stadium.  Dan Petry is starting and Tom Brookins is looking sharp in the field.  Rupert Jones is up at the plate with Darryl Evans on deck.

Sigh....when the Tigers stole my heart in 1984.  I was in 3rd grade at Johnson Elementary in Milford, MI.  Following year, we moved (ironically) to San Diego.

When they built CoAmerica (as my FIL always called it) they screwed up.  They installed the scoreboard too far towards the left field foul line, blocking the lower left part of the scoreboard from view.  They were too cheap to move it then, even though they knew it was wrong before the park opened.

Can't believe with a redo of the scoreboard they wouldn't move it as originally designed.  Instead, they lopped of the blocked corner, and then matched it on the right side I guess.  Who makes these decisions??

Anyone understand why they're batting Torkelson ahead of Greene everyday? Greene seems like the better all around hitter, I'd think you'd want to get him more at bats. And also get more runners on for Torkelson's power

Sorry if you didn't mean it that way, I took your response as an answer to my question about why the lineup was in that order. As a comment apart from the question, I totally agree with you - pretty disappointing how they've both started off. Hoping they improve soon or we might be in for a long season

Not going to Tigers Opening, but heading out to the Rockies Opening Weekend. Bit of an every other year or so tradition my Daddy and I in have to go see a game at a ballpark we haven't been to yet.

Never seen a game at Coors but got some absolutely fantastic baseball weather out here in Denver!

Tigers opponents are 3-17 this season, so I’m going to try to hold off on getting excited. But after the last several seasons of pathetic starts, I’ll take it.

I was there.  It was chilly --- felt like your typical weather for a Michigan (or MSU) late-November football home finale.

The new video board --- not a fan.  Whoever was running the scoreboard today, they were getting used to it themselves, it was either blank or screwed up a good 10% of the time.

Walking around downtown, looks like a fun set-up for the Draft in a few weeks!

Yep was there with the wife and 11 great close friends.

Beers at Harry’s before and after. Good win. Don’t care what the As record is. In the bigs a win is a win, it all counts in Sept-Oct.

didnt mind the scoreboard.

Detroit is my home (born in AA and used to live off Joy Road) and I’m never in a bad mood walking around my hometown. Draft will be a good time for those going.

My only hope is we don't go into May 6 games out. So tired of the lousy starts. So far they have made it seem my hope is coming true.
