If Michigan has now "played"…

If Michigan has now "played" ohio 11 times wouldn't that mean we've basically given them 11 games of film of exactly what we are going to do? Seems like on offense the idea is to always save plays for ohio. Why is defense seemingly the exact opposite?

Arrive 5 hours early to either stadium (not a typo) and plan ahead on a two hour drive out of the stadium (not a typo). Unliess either team starts losing games before you go. Then safely arrive 30 minutes early and leave in 10 minutes as no one will be there. Not the most devoted fan bases.

Serious question: Are those dudes old or just fat? hard to tell in the video. OP called them old but I think that makes him an ageist. I'm recreationally offended by that. I think they're just plain old fat and I find that funny.

I am in the camp that thinks anyone who believes bad luck is to blame for Michigan's late game woes is delusional and probably has not watched any of the games in their entirety. I know that some people find that blasphemous and refuse to ever call out Brian but seriously? Bad luck?

No one could throw a screen pass directly into a RBs butt like John Navarre. He was unparalleled. The greatest ever at that 'skill'

Wow! Glad to hear you are okay. My best friend was visiting for the weekend and he broke your fall. In the aftermath someone grabbed him and hustled him towards someone that fit the bill for a reporter exclaiming "This guy is a hero!" There was a brief interview where my friend rambled something about his favorite food being steak and liking the number 12. Everyone was obviously inebriated. Glad to hear that you are okay. 4 days in the ICU is nothing to sneeze at.

It used to be a tradition (I…

It used to be a tradition (I hope it still is) that after a big road win students would meet at the steps of the Student Union and sing the fight song. Usually someone would sort of take charge and lead some cheers. If the crowd got really raucous a march across campus would begin. We would march in and out of the libraries and harass people who had spent their Saturday afternoon studying instead of watching the game. This game was about the greatest road win of the decade and the mob was beyond crazy. I remember marching into the Law library which I don't remember happening in previous years and people were marching on top of the tables screaming the fight song at the top of their lungs. Too bad we didn't have cell phone cameras back then. After the law library it was kind of a 'what now?' moment and someone yelled LET'S GO TO THE PRESIDENT'S HOUSE! After arriving and screaming and singing for a good few minutes Lee met us at the door and invited us in. The theft was an unfortunate byproduct. I remember people stealing about anything they could get their hands on like candle holders and picture frames. It was a wild scene. In fact, Lee told us that day that anytime Michigan beat Penn State by at least 26 points we were welcome in his house. Next year's score? Michigan 27-0! And Lee welcomed us back, albeit a much tamer crowd.

Kegs? I don't remember Kegs but there was a lot of alcohol consumption. Maybe a party ball or two but I doubt someone hauled a half barrel out there.

2005 GMC Canyon. Bought it new, changed headlight, taillight, and turn signal bulbs in under a year. Where do they manage to find such shitty parts? The rubber gasket on the bed light wore out and leaked water into the cab whenever it rained. Needed major engine repair before 5 years old. The fuse for the automatic windows blew... Again, where do they find such shitty parts?

Hard Rock Stadium was…

Hard Rock Stadium was designed to put the home team sideline in shade and the away team in the sun. If this was an august game noon kickoff that would be a big advantage.i went to a Lions Dolphins game there a few years ago and the Detroit sideline was wilting in the sun.

Unfortunately it is a night game in the winter. So outside of uniform color it doesn't mean much.

Recently Azusa Pacific University announced they would be cutting football. Their most famous alum is the Nigerian Nightmare, Christian Okoye, but this announcement is significant for another reason. They were the last Division II football program in all of California. They were an NAIA program until 2011 and then made the three year transition to Division II. Hard to even know what is a revenue sport anymore.

I swore I would never forgive him when he left us in 96 for Notre Dame. Then we won a National Championship and it was more like good riddance. I was able to forgive him that time because we did so well without him. I can only hope I am give a reason to forgive him again this time.

Mercury's post game…

Mercury's post game interview went something like...

Reporter: "Do you think you caught the ball in bounds?"

Mercury: "Yes. They pay the referees to make the call and they pay me to catch the ball."

It didn't go over well with the Michigan haters.

What a game though and you are correct, no student section. That game was not part of the student ticket package because it happened before students officially arrived back for fall semester.

In 1986 I was 11 and for the first time in my life I watched golf even though I wasn't being forced to by my dad controlling the tv. Jack went on to win the Master's at age 46 in maybe the greatest back 9 ever and my dad was still not home (he played every Saturday/Sunday morning at Genesee Hills CC which I think is no longer a golf course). Normally home by 2 or 3 at the latest it never dawned on me at the time that he was almost assuredly watching in the clubhouse with his golfing pals, probably drunk. When he did get home I met him at the door and told him "Dad I recorded the Master's for you but I won't tell you who won. You won't believe it!" He played it off like he didn't know and we watched Jack's historic back 9 together on VCR tape. He's never admitted to knowing ahead of time Jack won.

I saw Rage Against the…

I saw Rage Against the Machine open for House of Pain at the State Theater downtown Detroit April 2, 1993. To say Rage ruled the evening would be an understatement and then some. Rage absolutely brought the house down. In my life I have never seen any opening act completely dominate the night the way they did. The next day my friends and I drove to several music shops to try and buy their debut self titled album. I think we were finally successful in Royal Oak somewhere (probably a shop no longer there). I will never forget being 18 in the pit with my middle finger in the air screaming "FU** YOU I WON'T DO WHAT YOU TELL ME!" even though I had never heard that song before. It was incredible. This summary I found online says it all...

Around age 6 my mom took me the Troy community center or YMCA or something similar for a karate intro class. At one point the instructor had us form a circle and told us to flex our stomach muscles. He then walked around the circle and gave us a pretty solid rap with the back of his hand into our guts. Apparently this was to teach us the importance of physical fitness. I started crying and never did anything with martial arts again the rest of my life.
