Brady's work ethic

A nice article about TB's work ethic. He went to school, played football AND worked. He and Jason Kapsner worked at the golf course so they could play for free. (I don't recall. Did students have to pay to play the University course?) But the thing I took from that anecdote was that maybe playing golf wasn't Shea's problem. On the other hand, maybe Brady would have gone higher than the 6th round if he hadn't played so much golf! (/s)

No shit, I worked at the golf course so I could play for free too. So you're telling me that I'm one degree removed from Tom Brady!?

Look Ma! I'm famous!

I'm guessing that at least 1% of college kids in the US have Tom Brady's work ethic. They just don't have the accompanying natural skills/talent for a high visibility profession such as professional football. You take a look at the 99th percentile of all college students in the US and you're going to see a lot of CEOs, PhDs, entrepreneurs, etc.

In the (horrible) spirit of college recruiting interviews for consulting--

I'd guess 2 million college students in US per year. Top 1% = 20,000

Approximately 100 med schools x100 students per class = 10K med students/year (underestimate).

That top 10% of those are highly motivated (underestimate) = 1K. (Prob too motivated haha).

If you have a similar # across 20 professions (again, huge underestimate--considering law, consulting, finance, CS, "engineering", teaching etc.) = 20K highly motivated students.

Their highly motivated is prob not quite to the level of Tom Brady, as I bet they eat "nightshade veggies" haha, but I bet meet your working def of Tom's work ethic.

(yes I am procrastinating at work; I know Tom wouldn't do this)

Yes, students had to pay greens fees. They were cheap, though. I had a good friend on the women's golf team who also had free access and she'd take us out sometimes, but she certainly didn't abuse the privilege.

I cannot believe that a dumb ass so called reporter from USA Today asked Brady in an interview how he felt about the fact that he had a signed MAGA hat in his locker and that he received the platform he currently has because he is white and a black athlete would not be allowed to have a voice in politics like he has. I did not know Brady was outspoken politically #1-Presidents often send items to professional athletes no matter who they are and #2 Not allowed to have a voice!!!! Did this dumbass ever hear of Lebron James or Colin Keapernick? Tom Brady has always been a class act and is the GOAT. I believe Shannon Sharpe on ESPN ripped Brady over this as well. Sharpe is a big mouthed tool and he absolutely hates Michigan, Harbaugh and anything about UM. Any chance he gets, he is always ripping UM about something.

Tom Brady is a high quality individual in everything he does.  He handles his business to the highest degree regardless of task. He is still gracious and respectful of others. He is a natural leader.

People act like Tom Brady was a water boy that just worked hard. He was a modern day 4* out of Cali who worked his ass off.  He’s not the story people wish it would be. He had/has a natural gift. Add his grit and determination, you get the GOAT. But I’m sure I could replay my life ad infinitum and not be Tom Brady, even in HS. He can/could still sling it no matter what.
