Gloriously OT - midweek humor break, ridiculous old dudes fighting on a golf course
Sorry, I am seemingly too dumb to get the media embed to work... here is the link:

I laughed uncontrollably for a good 30 seconds on the failed kick attempt...
More sad than funny. At least to me. Times are a changing.
Drunk FL men fighting over getting hit into is certainly nothing new. It just wasn't on the gram
I saw two drunk Florida men getting in a fight in the Tropicana Field parking lot a couple weeks ago.
Damn it, I didn't video it and post it on IG. I missed my big opportunity for a payday.
You do realize these guys aren't from Florida. They are just in Florida "enjoying" their retirement spending their time golfing and kickboxing.
Exactly. These are y’all’s people from up north.
You sound like a blast at parties.. All of us do really stupid things sometimes, especially drunk and in the heat of the moment. Sometimes it turns out pretty funny for the people lucky enough to see it. Nothing horrible happened here, nobody got hurt - I don't know why it is "sad".
If that was me, drunk and sitting on my ass after a failed kick attempt, I would be cracking up and would hope everyone would be laughing with me.
Definitely stupid and sad, but I don't know about times changing. This kind of stupidity has always been going on since days immemorial (especially in Florida), we just have social media to get millions of eyeballs on it in an instant now.
I think it's more than the social media spotlight. There has been a decline in decorum and increase in coarse behavior across our society. Interactions are far less civil--the anonymous vitriol of message boards is now infecting person to person interactions. Social media has accelerated the amount of boorish behavior, not just shed a light on it.

People say this all the time but I never experience it EXCEPT online. 99.99% of the people I meet or run into are kind decent human beings

You must not live in a Red State.
Agreed. That just reinforced my belief that there are way too many idiots in society. Not a new revelation obviously.
Same here. Found it somewhat funny and very sad. Glad for their sake everyone seemed to run out of gas after a very short time.
Honestly. Shit like this just gives me anxiety. What the fuck is going on in this country?
Seriously?
some people get anxiety over random ass shit.
like a funny video of old people trying to fight but failing miserably

I’m not so sure it’s all that different. Now you just hear and see it all. I am sure it doesn’t make things better though.
The price is wrong bitch.
Thought this was going to be a different video when clicking the thread that was just a shouting match but epic, but this is also great.
Edit: Found it. Improved by Australian accent:
"Improved by Australian accent"
Almost everything is
Those old-timers have a lot of growing up to do...I am getting a Worthers Original
* Werther's
Also, get off my lawn.
Oh good, social media has infiltrated Mgoblog. Can never get enough of this on my feeds.
Agreed. I'd rather see pics of a random user's baby than have people sharing shit from TikTok.
What if I told you an internet message board IS social media.
Shhhh. That seems to be a secret around here.
Some of those guys didn't look all that "old" as much as "assholes", which is a timeless quality to some.
The one guy who kicked with (I assume) spiked shoes woke up that morning and chose violence.
I stand by my position that "nobody wins an adult fight" I also do exclusive criminal defense work. Just assume everybody has a gun. That is what I tell my kids, don't get into it with anybody. Not worth it. Can't tell you how many shooting cases I have seen over some of the dumbest shit.
If I tried to fight somebody right now I would seriously hurt myself doing the basic body movements required to engage the fight in the first place.
Your name should be Wise-Dad.
Also assume same craziness rules on the freeways.
Especially on a Florida golf course, I assume all of those guys have at least one weapon near them at all times.
If you start to throw hands and you're older than 21 you've failed in whatever situation you find yourself in
disagree on that last point as there are times when trouble simply finds you. as i have told our sons, 'we don't start fights, we finish them'.
in a less serious vein, and in honor of rgard:
Awesome!
That is a bad-ass monkey.

Thanks for a good laugh!
“Throw hands” now that is funny
Amen man, you know whats the best weapon you have when a confrontation happens? Your feet...when you walk away and ignore the BS
A lot of bad outcomes with fights, and zero are good.
Just walk away
My dad actually told me that in the early 90s that to assume everyone has a gun. Even back then when it wasn't full wild wild west like it is now. That message suck in with me as I dont engage with anyone especially on the road, now my wife on the other hand .... 🤣
Well, safe to say none of those guys did any amount of fighting in their youth.
And golf is thought to be a gentleman's game.....
the words "bring it bitch" should only be used on the golf course when you're trying to signal the beverage cart
"Insubordinate. And churlish."
Is this part of the IMG or Disney/DeSantis story?
Good thing none of these dudes was packing heat. Next story will be golfer shot driving up to the wrong tee.
At least it brought back "The Price is Wrong Bob" gif.
"OH shit....dude we can go viral"
Back in my day, you just recorded old men fighting on the golf course so you could upload it to World Star and email it to your friends. This generation only cares about going viral. Sad.
Haha
WORLDSTAR!!!
If it is even a possibility that you are getting in a fight on a golf course, you are doing golf all wrong.
I am guessing that excess alcohol consumption had something to do with it.
Yeah, I guess. I also don't really get drinking while golfing. The game takes incredible precision. If you are going to get all wasted why also do the hardest thing in the world at the same time. I've never understood that.
My golf game improves with alcohol. But that is more of a statement on my golf skills (or lack thereof).
Is golf really "the hardest thing in the world"? I've heard this said before and I just don't get it. I assume you mean among popular sports or activities, but I contend golf is not the hardest, and it's not even close. Hitting a curve ball is harder, playing any type of football is harder, any type of full-contact sport like hockey is harder, and that's not even getting into boxing and wrestling or god forbid MMA. Yes, golf takes concentration and some physical ability to be good, but so do so many other sports/activities. Many of them require a LOT more concentration and physical ability. My 83-year-old daddio can play 36 holes of golf a day; he cannot hit a curve, can't pass-block for shit, can't really even jog. But golf is the hardest thing in the world?
