Going to be hard to entice top WRs to come here without NIL. I imagine that those in the portal want to get touches. Michigan's offense leaves a lot to be desired from that standpoint.
I didn't get Trente Jones coming out when he had a great opportunity to improve his stock in '25.Oh well, hopefully the Packers are a good fit for him.
This would be a great opportunity for Moore to differentiate his offensive philosophy from Harbaugh. Here's hoping for some more diverse route tree concepts and opportunities for guys to showcase themselves this year!
Howard is going to receive the same opportunity that Harbaugh did to turn things around. I imagine a reworked contract and staffing changes happen, but he'll receive one more year.
"I have no doubt he will successfully transition from OC to HC -- he had that opportunity 4 times this year, especially PSU, Maryland and OSU," Harbaugh wrote in a text. "Proof is in the pudding."
Wish Jim would have added that he had little intention of ensuring a successful transition
Don't think this warranted a new thread so I'll post here: Coach Moore announced he's also retained Abigail O'Connor as Director of Football Performance Nutrition. I think that's good news as well.
Ryan Walters on his comments about Michigan making national news, "I am not shy about speaking the truth. If I had to do it over again, I would say the same thing."
An orchestrated political hit job from someone that used to affiliated with Michigan....Is Michigan on good terms with Greg Mattison and/or George Helow?
If anything this TCU pounding makes me cringe at how unprepared Harbaugh had this team for them and wondering how far we actually are from being capable of beating a Georgia.
This constant off season chatter will continuously be a thing with Harbaugh. There's way too much smoke over the past 12 mths to believe his coaching last stop is going to be in Ann Arbor.
There's no harm in parting ways amicably and showing appreciation. The sooner it happens the better it will be for Michigan to transition. We don't need another Rich Rod situation.
Chadwell wouldn't be the big name hire Nebraska fans crave, but he certainly would be the most logical fit there imo (i.e., career progression and cultural)

Equivalent to a preferred walk-on getting a scholarship. Doesn't move the needle. I'd love to be proven wrong though.

NCAA death by a thousand cuts
With NIL covering some scholarships these days, some of these punishments are going to be meaningless.
Turnover is constant in the college game, especially when teams are winning. That can't explain away our recruiting struggles the past few years.

Certainly would prefer his player development skills over Coach Cal
This has been a lost season for weeks now. I imagine the AD and Howard have already briefly discussed what changes need to be made for next season.
Harbaugh had issues with Ohio St long before the covid season though. There were question marks beyond that Covid Season.

Having lived in other multiple states (TX, AL, FL) over the past 16 years I haven't witnessed any of these states offer the type of QOL that AA offers
F Harbaugh
Connor Stalions has a better eye for talent than Warde imo
Jim tried to poach him as well. I'm over him

If I'm Justin Herbert I'm not thrilled with these developments
1) Harbaugh…
Not a fan of
1) Harbaugh holding Michigan hostage after bowl season when he knew he was likely leaving if offered a job
2) proceeding to take multiple key staff members with him when the coaching carousel had eclipsed in the college game
3) UM apparently being behind the 8 ball on anticipating this

While we're at it, why not just add Pep Hamilton to the list of OC candidates *sarcasm*
I'm sure Michigan can do better. Plus, he's probably in LA with pops.
Maybe not so much hugging now.
Unless he's going to be made the highest paid s&c coach in the NFL and given additional job titles then no, it wouldn't.
I don't get this move.
What a peck-uliar post

This might have been a tad bit soon....
I'm sure Orgi will give the Defense a great comp during Rose Bowl prep
Correct, thank you. It wouldn't upload the correct one for me. I only realized as much after I clicked save.
My apologies, neg away. The link that I was trying to upload failed to do so. It was from Chris Peterson
Ryan Walters on his comments about Michigan making national news, "I am not shy about speaking the truth. If I had to do it over again, I would say the same thing."
He sure seemed a bit gun shy when confronted.
Apparently this was posted a few days ago. I searched the first two pages and didn't notice it and that's why I went ahead. My apologies.
The people's president!
Current and former Patriot coaches seem to flounder when they don't have Tom Brady around.

Stapleton seems to be working a lot of OT these days
Chris Creighton deserves a lot more respect than to be placed 100 on that list. One of the more underrated coaches in the game.
Got fired on his day off no less.
Seeing "recent predictions by Urban Meyer" should have been your first indication it would be trash.

Mike Barrett is the logical answer if Weiss is replaced

Bad cultural fits? Wtf do you mean by that?
He indeed seems like a great fit at State, as Brown was actually dismissed from the program per the head coach.
