OT: Urban Meyer predictions
I came across some recent predictions by Urban Meyer for the upcoming season.
First - the best roster in college football - Texas.
Second, the B1G West winner: Iowa.
Third, the Heisman Trophy: Marvin Harrison Jr. I especially appreciated his objectivity when he said .. “If WE can get him the ball often enough.” So, apparently Meyer still thinks he’s a Buckeye - the “we” reference - which is neither a surprise, nor representative of an objective analyst.
That’s for now… any thoughts?

If the coach is considered part of the roster, then Texas is the same dogshit that Steve 7-5 Sarkisian has been literally everywhere he's ever gone. In 9 seasons the guy has never had fewer than 4 losses (which he's managed only twice). But sure, it'll be different this year.
I predict he will still be a wiener when the season is over.

I worked with a guy once that referred to another employee as Mr. Richard Weed. The poor guy never understood why everyone chuckled.
I learned that when I was in the army. I haven't heard it from many non-veterans since.

Urban Meyer predictions: He will annoy me weekly and bring further shame to his name and legacy.
....at some point you can't do "further" shame. He has reached that point in my book.
As I recall that Urban GIF was right after losing the Big Ten Championship game to sparty... And then sparty got pummeled like 49-0 by bama, right? So yes, shame. Huge shame.
Partly true...it was a B1G championship loss to MSU, but that was 2013, prior to the CFP.

I'm not directing this toward you - but Disney employs Desmond, and IMO he's 100x more the homer than Urban is. Each school has their media advocates.
Desmond is 100% a homer, and we wouldn't have it any other way.

No argument there. But Blackledge clearly has some weird mojo, he managed to get drafted 20 slots ahead of Dan Marino.
Maybe Desmond isn't all those things but:
I remember during a post-game interview when someone sneezed and he didn't say bless you. And I heard from someone who heard it from some totally trustworthy guy on the street that Desmond once tipped a waiter only 14%. I personally witnessed him hold the door open for only 2 of people (there was a third person he didn't hold it open for).

Yeah, it was actually about the O Line not protecting Stroud in the '21 game but i found the whole "controversy" and Stroud taking himself WAY too seriously.
I think there was also a "handshake" controversy that Buckeyes were trying to stir up in the '22 ceremony?

Absolutely. Both Desmond and Woodson use "we" when talking about Michigan during broadcasts. I guess you could split hairs about former coaches vs former students...but that seems petty
Urban has coached at 9 different colleges. When he talks about Notre Dame, Florida, Utah, Illinois State, Bowling Green, Colorado State...does he say "we"?
Desmond Howard only played college football for Michigan so the "we" makes a bit more sense in my mind.
Also, Desmond Howard will say "Ohio State" when doing his analysis...Urban still won't say "Michigan". He's just a loser of the highest quality.
That’s an Urban and Ryan day thing. They only refer to us as the Wolverines.
