Would like to see the dolphins get him somehow. He can ride the bench for a year and be Tuas backup - which means he will get quality reps and probably be a starter once Tua gets his typical injury.

What a wild couple of weeks it's been. Hard to believe the Rose Bowl was less than two weeks ago.  I wish I was more cognizant of the "good old days" when they were occurring.

Thank you, JJ. You chose Michigan and arrived when we needed you most. Your leadership, resolve, and work ethic are the standard for UM quarterbacks going forward.

Best of luck at the next level, and trust that you'll have millions of Michigan fans supporting you along your journey.

I do not blame any of the wishful thinkers that argued or thought otherwise, but he could not have telegraphed this decision much more plainly than he did last night.

He is an all timer at Mich and I am forever grateful. Would not shock me to see him taken ahead of either or both of Penix and Nix, especially Nix. Way more upside than either and he is better than both at reading defenses.

Was time to go. I would have been interested in seeing him in an offense whose primary focus was throwing the ball. Wasn't going to happen even if he returned anyways.

Incredible career, the drives he led after the team got punched in the mouth at critical junctures in the Ohio State and Alabama games this year will probably be my lasting memory of his career, but it was obviously filled with many more great moments. Harbaugh said it best, the greatest quarterback in the history of Michigan football.

Well, it makes sense to go out on top.

He'd probably go higher in the draft next year, but maybe he'll be with a better team this way.

Either way he's gonna make a boatload of $$ in the pros. I think the bigger issue is his Michigan legacy. Going out undefeated, having lost only 1 game in his Michigan career - that's about as good as it gets.

Good luck JJ - I imagine you know it'll never be this much fun again. You'll always have a home (and legendary status) in Ann Arbor.

Thanks for everything, and may your future be bright!

Really wish my lean for him coming back was accurate, but oh well.  He did great at Michigan, and lead the team to a title along with Corum and Jenkins.  Love his play and character.

Besides Hinton, has anyone else eligible for the draft decided to come back?  I know Michigan is still waiting on Nugent, Paige and Moore's decisions.

One of the if not the greatest Michigan QB of all time. 3 straight wins over Ohio State, 3 conference titles, and a national championship.

He's proven and accomplished everything.

Thank you for the fantastic years and memories and good luck in the NFL. Maybe he’ll end up being the next Tom Brady 😃

Quite a few teams that could use him. The Jets, Raiders, Vikings, Steelers, Denver, Atlanta, Rams, New England, and Tampa Bay. All of them could end up drafting him. Rodgers would be ticked if the Jets did, but it’s certainly possible. The Vikings, Steelers, and Tampa all have QBs that will need replaced but JJ could sit for a year or two behind the guys they have. The Rams would be surprising but they could look for someone to sit behind Stafford. Denver to me would be surpring but possible. Definitely enough teams that need QBs that he’ll get drafted in the top 20.

Eh. Morris, Morgan, Loveland, Mullings, and Marshall are a really nice foundation to start from.

Michigan’s recruited the OL extremely well and has bought themselves time for development over the past two years. Time to see what Crippen, Anderson, and El Hadi got.

If Moore is the HC I would really like to see them bring in an outside offensive coordinator. Brennan Marion of UNLV comes to mind. If they can’t land a good QB in the portal than they need a scheme that takes advantage of Orgi’s great athletic ability.

Thank you JJ for the last three seasons.

I believe he’ll be a first round pick, quite possibly in the top half of the first round. From 10-16 there are five teams that could very well be looking for a qb. Williams, Maye, and Daniels will all go in the top 9, but after that you have a logjam for the next qb taken off the board with JJ, Penix, and Nix.

JJ’s Alabama game, despite not having a high completion percentage, should show up well as it was against 2 likely first round CBs, a first round DE/LB, and several other future NFL players, and against a decidedly NFL defensive scheme. And without having a dominant WR to throw to. That was an excellent game for JJ who didn’t receive much help during the middle part of that game by several drops on his passes.

JJ is going to be the QB in this draft with the biggest potential variance.  He could be a star with his arm and legs, better than the top rated guys, or maybe he never develops the touch needed to succeed.  In a way, going later in the draft may set him up with a better surrounding cast and make him more successful.  Best of luck to him and thank you, JJ, for leading Michigan over OSU and Alabama and to a National Championship.

Definitely sad, but good for him. He's an incredible player and an incredible person, and I hope he's going to be legendary at the next level, because he is certainly a legend here already, as is everybody who played this year and the last two.

With all of the players declaring for the draft these last couple days, this has the feeling of the end of Return of the King to me, with the Fellowship finally coming to an end, and Frodo sailing off on the last ship. (yes, please go ahead and make fun of my nerdiness, but then also remember that all of the preview podcasts for this season had hobbit-related titles). These players went and accomplished the biggest goal that was out there in front of them, though incredible adversity, and now they've come home and it's time for them to go their separate ways. What we've just witness this season- and really, over the last three seasons, since they clearly should be remembered as a whole- is amazing. Probably the greatest achievement in modern Michigan athletics, but to see this era come to a close (no matter what Harbaugh's decision is, with the playoff format changing and the Big10 becoming something totally different, this is absolutely the end of an era) is always going to be colored with some amount of sadness. Following this team will be a stretch of time in my Mighigan fandom that I will always cherish.
