Welp, the gymnastics team was leading their regional session until the final rotation (beam, of course). Two athletes fell off (they had to count one of the falls), and Michigan finished in third place. Alabama and Penn State advanced to the regional final. Michigan's season is done. A disappointing end to a sub-par season.
Of course, Michigan gets perennial powerhouse Oklahoma (who won the national championship in 2023, 2022, 2019, 2017, and 2016) and a tough Alabama team in their regional.
Only the top two teams from the regional advance to the championship. Michigan has had a good year, but not great (by their standards). Going to need to hit every routine.
What a wild couple of weeks it's been. Hard to believe the Rose Bowl was less than two weeks ago. I wish I was more cognizant of the "good old days" when they were occurring.

No, you don't. Come on now.
This team is so poorly coached. The fuck is Dug doing even defending someone so closely there.
Never thought I'd see an MSU game thread, with less than five minutes left in the half, in late February with like 40 posts.
Just an absolute clusterfuck of a program.
What is the all-time low for points in a half?
Zero effort on rebounds. Zero effort period, really.
Michigan is too good of a school, with too many resources (academic requirements be damned), be THIS bad in a revenue sport. Blow it all up.
For Raising Canes chicken, right?
Thanks for that catch in the Rose Bowl. Good luck young man!
Forreal though, this is wild.
But also FTC.
FTP.

He's certainly capable of rebuilding here. Whether he has the interest....who knows.
He's got nothing left to prove at the college level. I'm at peace with him going pro when it happens. So, I guess #1

Going out on top. Excited to see where he ends up.
