No way, no how on your first point. If JJ were back only OSU would be a tough game. Texas and Oregon lost way too much. 

IMO, in 2022 the defense blew the TCU game. Even with the two INTs returned for TDs, TCU never should've been allowed to score more than 35. 

IMO, I agree about USC, Oregon, and OSU, but a loss to Texas would be a bummer but in no way would how our season comes down meaningfully that game. If we will have had needed that win to get into the CFP, then we're playing on the road in the first round anyway and doubtfully advancing. 

Oh, please. While Fox's main goal is profit, they have been putting their biggest games on at noon for a while now. If this was about $$ more than anything else it would've been a primetime game instead because commercial slots cost more then.

I mean there's a really good reason for that. We're one of the most widely watched and best blueblood CFB programs who had an iconic HC that every single football fan has an opinion of. There are much worse problems to have than a negative headline or two. 

And also when we played PSU, Maryland, and OSU. I know those were for a different "violation" but missing your HC for a game is a big deal  no matter when it happens.

Exactly. Where this kid is currently at is where he's currently at. He could easily decide that staying close to home at a strong program, getting developed for the NFL vs much better talent, at a better school (who knows he might come to actually care about that), and with more TV exposure is what is more important. 

100% true on both counts.  Or maybe the kid just wants to get away from home. Big money, somewhere new, and/or the allure of Sanders are all valid reasons, but reasons that show Graham isn't yet in the mindset of who we seem to be looking for. 

If he ends up picking CU over us that's all you need to know about what he currently values. It's not as if Graham is trending to another established program that will make the CFP.

True. But DE has to be able to run between the tackles at least as well as an average RB in the conference or every time he's in the defense will know he's headed outside.

I know you're not cheering for it and just making an observation, but if Jayden Davis is playing anything but the 4th Qs of blowouts during conference play, we aren't even making a 14-team playoff.
