I'm not the type of guy to…

I'm not the type of guy to say that there's a best moment in all of sports. The breadth and depth of the history of sports is just too much to say that.

I'm just gonna leave this here though. You know, for posterity.

More than 3 YPC for the…

More than 3 YPC for the players he's coaching.

Yeah words are the worst.

Yeah words are the worst.

Understood and thank you.

Understood and thank you.

It sounds like you’re experienced enough to tell me what’s what and give me some much needed perspective, but when a separate agency is telling all parties involved about what needs to happen and how…well, that’s as straight-forward as it comes so far as I can tell.

I haven’t been in contact with the new attorney yet about my grievances with the original attorneys work, but I certainly plan on doing just that.

I toiled over the decision…

I toiled over the decision to post about it here (or anywhere) for some time.

The final bill was somewhere between 5-6 hours worth of time - $1400. It was just that the final hour worth of billing seemed inappropriate.

Negatory.

Her ex is in some pretty serious legal trouble that's led to some mandatory rearrangements to their previously 50-50 custody agreement.

They don't.

They don't.

It'll be remembered as a sad…

It'll be remembered as a sad day in history, ladies and gentlemen. We're finally starting to see the cracks in the foundation of what was the last bastion of honest, intelligent journalism.

I don't think they played 15…

I don't think they played 15 games in 1904?

Based on his performance in…

Based on his performance in the National Championship (or "Natty" as us more up-to-date posters like to call it) I'd say that Mike Sainristil was already the conductor of tackling lessons by the time he was 11 years old.

Greetings my Saginaw…

Greetings my Saginaw compatriot.

Too soon.

Too soon.

Dumb.

Anyone paying…

Dumb.

Anyone paying attention can see that this UM team is 3 seasons in the making. A ton of veteran leadership that has been forged in fire.

Washington is a flash in the pan team. They haven't been there, done that for the past 3 seasons and they likely won't repeat what they've done this season.

Admittedly, I didn't think this UM team was going to beat Alabama in the Rose Bowl. I've recognized my folly and have reformed my wayward position about this squad.

The team is too talented, too experienced, too deep and especially too well-coached to lose to a team like Washington. Moore and Minter are going to precisely and methodically use superior talent across the board to dismantle their opponent next Monday night.

He's been impressive to…

He's been impressive to watch this season. It seems like he's got really solid pocket awareness - seems to have a really good sense for where pressure is coming from and how to avoid it efficiently. I'm excited to see how the defense tries to attack him.

Watching that all unfold has…

Watching that all unfold has had me curious: at some point in the past wasn't it common knowledge that players were coached not to field punt returns inside the 10 yard line? Someone had expressed this to me as yes, heels on the 10 yard line and if you need to backpedal to field the punt then you let it go.

It just seems like at some point that was the common practice but now when I watch college ball it seems like punt returners will attempt a catch pretty much anywhere on the field.

UM #2, 32 overall

TCU #6,…

UM #2, 32 overall

TCU #6, 24.3 overall

Kinda funny too...lost by 6 but gifted them 14. SP would've been spot on if not for the pick-sixes.

It doesn't really answer…

It doesn't really answer your question but Alabama was SP+ #1 post week 1 with an overall rating of 32. It looks like their low on the year was something like 20, so they're marginally better now than they were at their "worst".

The thing is that their…

The thing is that their dissonance isn't just limited to the beatings UM has given them the past 3 seasons. They have a laundry list of reasons for every loss Ryan Day has had since he started as head coach and none of them involve the other team being better.

Clemson cheated and terrible officiating.

They then had the greatest program win of all time against Clemson the following season and subsequently lost to Alabama by 30 points in the national championship. (Which doesn't count because it was the COVID year. Except the Clemson win counts. Just the embarrassing loss to Alabama doesn't.)

UM cheated.

UM cheated.

GA was injuries and terrible officiating. (Pay no mind to your S&C program despite nagging injuries being common in your program the last number of years).***

UM cheated and Big Ten reffing conspiracy to make UM the winners.

***I also love the idea that had they made that field goal to win that game the NCAA might as well have just handed them the national championship trophy right then. I'm not even talking about an inflated sense of confidence that they'd have beaten TCU, I'm talking a full blown belief that if they'd have beaten GA then that game might as well just not even be played.

The whole way they talk about football is nuts in a way that I've never seen from any other fanbase. There's a lot of discussion about the past and how cool it could've been and the future and how great it's going to be, but just never much substantial about the present. And I'm unsure what that means.

And it's undoubtedly all…

And it's undoubtedly all skim.

He actually quoted John…

He actually quoted John Cooper this week in a media appearance. I feel like that’s got to be the single dumbest thing he could do.

The second statement I…

The second statement I realized. The first one I didn't. Had no idea Aaron Donald was that "small"...don't watch much pro football.

Uhhhh...so the biggest DT…

Uhhhh...so the biggest DT getting snaps for them would be the smallest DT on UMs roster, and smaller by a pretty wide margin. That seems bad for them?

For what it's worth, Purdue,…

For what it's worth, Purdue, PSU and Maryland all have more sacks on the year than OSU. It's not even particularly close either. Just saying, it may not be surprising to see the tackles perform well this weekend?

What I find really telling and what gives me hope is that the one team that really seemed to give OSUs defense trouble was the one team that had a QB that was a threat with his legs. Activate JJ in the run game this weekend and this offense could potentially be a monster that OSU is not at all ready for.

Looks to me like OSU was #5…

In 2022 looks to me like OSU was #5 defensive SP+ ranking heading into the Maryland game. After that game dropped to #10 and then dropped again to #16 after the UM game.

I really hate to say this…

I really hate to say this but since Henderson came back (Wisconsin) they've looked a ton better running the ball. Before the Wisconsin game they were averaging 3.8 ypc on the season and since then their average has gone up to 4.3 ypc on the year. Wisconsin, Rutgers, MSU and Minnesota have been their opponents in that time.

I don't think that Henderson is as great a back as most OSU fans think he is and I can't comment on what their coaches have done to make their running game operate more smoothly, but there's no doubt that it actually is something that needs to be gameplanned for at this point in the season. Unfortunately they don't look like the same team that went for 1.9 yards per carry at home against Maryland.

Hope you guys all have fun…

Hope you guys all have fun and don't want to be a dick or nothin' but unless the deer you killed has two heads or an extra eyeball or something like that we absolutely do not want to see pictures of it. Additionally, if you're trying to show us a picture of a deer that was shot by someone you know and not actually you, then we want to see a picture of it even less. These are common sense rules for every day life, not necessarily speaking to only blog etiquette.

Addendum: online interactions excluded. Posting pictures online is what people do, and it's beautiful because those who care can stop, look and comment if so desired and those who don't can scroll right on past.

Just saying I work in a "red" industry and 90% of the guys I've ever worked with are hunters and 60% of that group want to whip out their phone every fall and show me unsolicited (and sometimes anti-solicited) deer pictures. Not just hunting photos, but trail cam photos and family photos. Dude, I live in semi-rural Michigan...you know how many deer I saw on the way to work today? Like, 8. I'm simply not clamoring to see photos of deer.

I'm not anti-hunting either. I think deer are wonderful from a nutritional standpoint and they certainly taste delicious. I know a lot of guys that hunt and they're all really great people from what I can tell, but for some reason they really enjoy showing off deer pictures and I can't figure out why they think those pictures would be any more meaningful to me than showing me photographic proof of any of the other hobbies they enjoy.

Honestly man I just think it…

Honestly man I just think it's easier to predict 3 INTs instead of trying to figure out which guy Kenneth Grant is going to be a substitute for.

I can't say for this for…

I can't say for this for certain but if I had to take a guess I'd say it's most likely because the fanbase are a bunch of shameless fuckheads.

My statement isn't a super…

My statement isn't a super direct reply to you but I find it interesting that the article SQ posted rifles off a bunch of examples of sign-stealing and how coaches 1) realized what was happening in game, 2). adjusted for suspicions in the same game and 3). either won that game or made it competitive.

So other teams can identify this and compensate for it all within the same contest, but UM has been doing it for almost 3 full years with total impunity? I'm just not certain it adds up.

I love this!

NCAA rulebook…

I love this!

NCAA rulebook on ethical behavior, bullet point G). Feigning an injury for any reason is unethical.

Yet on Sunday you can turn on the highlights from the day before and you're practically guaranteed to see an instance of a player getting a signal from the sideline that results in an "injury" designed to slow down the offense. And the commentary a lot of the time is about how funny it is.

Fuck the media and their bass ackwards bullshit.

His statistics don't really…

His statistics don't really flesh out "getting better every week". The phrase I'd use to describe him would be "wildly inconsistent". His stats were okay against Wisconsin but he still accounted for 3 turnovers. He's just not great at making decisions under pressure.

I think over the course of…

I think over the course of it's history the bylaw and it's proposals spend way too much effort separating "taping" and "scouting" to just assume that in the end they both mean the same thing. The NCAA ultimately just landed on the idea that they could manage to govern one and not the other.

When I watched this game…

When I watched this game unfold live I couldn't help but have thoughts about how this team is going to blast the ever-living fuck out of OSU at the end of November. Now that I've read this UFR I think it even more.

Go Blue!

I've never seen the other…

I've never seen the other movies listed but depending on which Dune you're talking about I either really love Eric Roth writing adapted screenplays or really, really fucking hate Eric Roth writing adapted screenplays.

Sometimes you see things…

Sometimes you see things that just make you laugh really hard.

One of them for me, apparently, is a guy with a Putin-centric username that features an avatar of shirtless Putin riding a honolulu blue Detroit Lion making a message board post about someone having a manifesto needing to be emotionally helped out.

I'm not saying that you are or aren't anything, I'm just saying that shit is funny.

"Poorly" is relative. PSU is…

"Poorly" is relative. PSU is averaging 4.3 yards per carry and OSU is averaging 3.8 yards per carry, while UM is averaging 4.7 yards per carry. So "poorly" compared to 2022, sure. "Poorly" compared to PSU and OSU? No.

Although UM hasn't really played any good offenses up to this point, Rutgers, Nebraska, MSU and I think Minnesota to some degree have pretty solid defenses. Then of course you've got ECU and UNLV run blitzing to stop the run, all while shuffling the offensive line rotation around and not having the same head coach on the sideline.

For the life of me I cannot…

For the life of me I cannot figure out how you have Nicholas Singleton and Kaytron Allen on your team, you've played Delaware, UMass and Northwestern and the longest run between the two of them this season is 20 yards.

Their defensive backfield…

Their defensive backfield might be playing better than the squad from 2022 but their offense is hot garbage. The D will only hold up against UM for so long.

3.8 yards per carry on the season. Their ground game is almost a full 2 yards per carry worse than it was last year. I just don't see any team that has valmorphanized into being totally, completely one-dimensional (and their one dimension is wildly inconsistent this year) rolling into AA and beating Michigan.

Don’t know who Drew Mandel…

Don’t know who Drew Mandel is but fuck him

Maybe there's holes in the…

Maybe there's holes in the idea, but wouldn't it be better to wait it out and deploy it in the second half? I mean, sure, if you're playing through the first and you are getting beat, then go for it as soon as possible. Theoretically though, wouldn't it be better to hang around in the first half and apply extra curricular knowledge in the second half in hopes that the opposing team won't be able to adjust on the fly without the benefit of halftime?

I'll donate to an NIL fund…

I'll donate to an NIL fund for the guy if someone starts one up

I fuckin hope so.

I fuckin hope so.

Yeah right, just really good…

Yeah right, just really good at stealing signs.

So good at stealing signs the refs called back-to-back holding and unsportsmanlike penalties that absolutely killed a really important second half drive for them.

When Mike Sainristil found himself having to make up a measly 7 yards to get to the end zone and shit on Cade Stover...yeah, obviously he must've known what was coming because it just looked way too easy and he was in perfect position to make that play the entire time.

There must've been something really nefarious about the way UM was getting their information. I simply don't see any other way they could figure out how CJ Stroud would not, under any circumstance (except against UGA), run for a first down (or scramble at all). There's no way of knowing that kind of thing unless you're cheating.

Fuck off with that. Your team played shitty football and that's why they lost.

UM loses a bowl game to TCU…

UM loses a bowl game to TCU because it’s a bowl game and UM didn’t have ample time to scout TCUs signs.

The only reason Clemson beat OSU in the 2020 CFP semi-final bowl game was because they stole OSUs signs.

Gotta be hard to talk out both sides of your mouth while you’re also breathing through it all the time.

https://www.si.com/college/2020/11/06/clemson-signal-stealing-dabo-swinney-daily-cover

An old, yet pertinent and interesting article on Clemson and their crafty ways.

If you're not gonna read it, basically it says everyone does it, and just like blocking and tackling, some teams are much better at it than others.

This is a cool thing to…

This is a cool thing to think about and I don't wanna be a dick or nothin' but I believe JJ has 17 TDs responsible for in his statline currently. 14 passing and 3 rushing, I think?

Hopefully Michigan beats OSU…

Hopefully Michigan beats OSU so bad that the nerds go back to the basement to play dungeons and dragons while listening to Rush or whatever the fuck it is that nerds should be doing nowadays.

Gateway drug to an excellent…

Gateway drug to an excellent nap is more like it.

Not sure if you've watched…

Not sure if you've watched OSU this season but UMs entire defensive front could come out with clubbed up hands and still lay waste to that weak sauce offensive line.

1.9ypc against Maryland. At the Shoe. Against Maryland. Think about that.
