I like these type of players…

I like these type of players, good size, with high upside.  Played basketball as well, I'm sure the coaching staff will be able to utilize his athleticism in a number of ways.

Nice pickup. I like his size…

Nice pickup. I like his size and experience; he should definitely help right away.

Seems Christmas takes place…

Seems Christmas takes place before we are going to win a National Championship, I would like Santa to bring the team an unlimited supply of Brinks trucks so we can supply all players with top NIL money!

Personally, I would like Santa to drop off a size Large Michigan National Champion t-shirt to wear on Jan 8th!

I'm sure Rhule will sell a…

I'm sure Rhule will sell a high octane offense to prospective recruits, and NIL money will be heavy. But if Raiola is as good as he is expected to be, there should be a lot more sought after destinations with just as much money to burn as Nebraska. Seems odd, but who knows these days.

It looks like with each…

It looks like with each passing hour this morning more and more outlets are reporting Howard is out. I just saw another from College Basketball Report stating he is stepping down. Still may not be credible but that fire is burning hot. I love Juwan and what he brought as a coach and as a player but along with his health and the basketball program not meeting current expectations, it seems like an opportune time to part ways.

I certainly think it would…

I certainly think it would be a positive move for FSU. ACC was I'm sure part of the equation with being left out, but losing your star player (QB nonetheless) was impactful. If they were in the BIG and this happened would it have resulted in the same results? FSU feels like it fits SEC better than the BIG. But I do think from the BIG standpoint having an anchor in the recruiting hotbed of Florida wouldn't be a bad move either. It will be interesting to watch this play out and see if such a move is made.

Right and others like Griese…

Right and others like Griese provided well thought out feedback, in which you subsequently responded to in another well thought out and informative response. This was the feedback I was hoping to get. Having been on this board for many years I understand the negativity that can come with posting a thread. But being a passionate lifelong fan I love this board and will not shy away from putting my thoughts out there just because it will get negged.. doesn't mean I will not criticize but that's what makes this board and our Alumni and fans great. We are all passionate.

In other words.. " you were…

In other words.. " you were so tired of contract talk, rather than ignoring the thread, you decided to open it up so you could neg away and provide no relative feedback".. got it.

This makes a lot of sense,…

This makes a lot of sense, although I hope your wrong on the 6 weeks timeline but I certainly could see that scenario playing out.

You can't drink all day if you don't start!

I mostly just care that they…

I mostly just care that they get relevant guest versus obscure people like we had for the game against the team from Ohio.
This one particularly is good with me. Have been a big Goldberg fan for a long time. Not really into wrestling anymore, but I was in my younger days and have Goldberg’s tribal tattoo on my back. He lives about 45 minutes from me and his son plays baseball for the same organization as my son. He is actually a good dude, and into fast cars which I like as well. Obviously the Georgia connection this week isn’t ideal but ESPN could have done much worse in their choice. They can have 5 Georgia alumni on gameday for all I care, it isn’t going to change the beat down we are going to put on them and put Bama on notice!

Go Blue!

Any season ticket holders…

Any season ticket holders hear from the University yet on the ticket allotment?

I don’t like rooting for…

I don’t like rooting for teams from Ohio.. but in this case go Cincy!

I’m laughing someone…

I’m laughing someone downvoted this take.. smh

Good win. Glad to see the offense starting to show a little more diversity. Defense was solid all day. Great complimentary football.
Cade managed the game and did not turn the ball over.
JJ getting reps I still think is super important for our success later this season.

Johnson emerging as a top target is great to see. He has the tools and the size to be a game changer.

Jump around in that stadium is so awesome. Love that tradition. Great to see our sideline get into it too.

Love seeing JJ get in the game and contribute!

You are not allowed to have…

You are not allowed to have an opinion about our QB’s on this board. Or so I have been told.

Great speech for sure. I…

Great speech for sure. I love hearing about his deep love of Michigan. The Fab 5 will never be repeated as they meant so much more than just basketball. It was fun to watch. My favorite C-Webb days though were when he was with the Kings. His game and that team were absolutely phenomenal to watch. Some of the most exciting basketball ever played in the NBA. Glad to see him being recognized.

We’re all sitting here…

We’re all sitting here thinking about the same old reality..we’re not lining up across from that team in Ohio and running these plays with any expectation to beat them … maybe they are saving the good playbook???

Same old crappy play calling…

Same old crappy play calling. Glad to be winning but we would be up big if we got our play-calling at least to what teams were running 10 years ago. .. still stuck in 1985.

The replies below all…

The replies below all correct, its a matter of preference as getting to the Arena from most of the main strip locations will be fairly easy. MGM, NYNY, Excalibur, Luxor, and Mandalay Bay are probably your best bets proximity wise. Its November so good chance it will be fairly cool out and not pool weather so I wouldnt look for best pools. NYNY is great if you are bringing kids and want to experience the Roller coasters, arcade etc. (Although you dont have to stay there to utilize). Mandalay Bay is great as there are some great pubs, bars restaurants the adults will like. MGM is a good mix of cheaper dining options, bars and a couple nice restaurant options. Getting to a show at another location is fairly simple no matter where you stay.

I have been 4 times this year with varying covid experiences. Expect to wear mask indoors except once seated at bars, restaurants etc and actively drinking/eating(Barring something changing.

Get tickets now. Most shows schedules are out for the remainder of the year and your best seating/price options will happen the earlier you book.

While I don't agree with the…

While I don't agree with the first part of your take, I certainly agree with the later. Belichick before Brady and after Brady, Brady before Belichick (See Orange bowl tape) and after Belichick. It's clear who benefited most.

I actually think Harbaugh to…

I actually think Harbaugh to Houston makes sense. A QB style he likes (Athletic, great arm etc..) and a franchise that might be willing to give him the keys.

It might not be a popular take, but at this point im ready to move on from him even if it means starting this cycle all over again. I just look at what Howard has done with the basketball program, and yes Belien did a phenomenal job as well. Howard and this teams ceiling is much higher I believe and the energy and enthusiasm is off the charts.

I'm ready to feel this way about our football program again even if its short lived.

I can’t help but think what…

I can’t help but think what another year would do for him. An off-season program where he puts on some muscle and adds a little more explosiveness. I think he would be unstoppable against the best of the best. He is already a beast but I think there is still a lot of upward potential for him.
Hopefully we at least get another year from him.. I will certainly enjoy watching him while it last!
#goblue!

Trask must be looking for…

Trask must be looking for the bowl game interception record for a QB..

It’s funny to me to hear…

It’s funny to me to hear Patriots fans upset at him. Although I do believe it’s the minority. I’m a Pats fan (even bigger Brady fan) and have thoroughly enjoyed watching him in TB. I will be rooting for Tom and the Bucs to move forward in the playoffs. How you could be a Pats fan and have anything negative to say about Brady is beyond me. He gave everything he had and then some to the organization and brought unparalleled success.
Would I have liked to see him never leave? Of course, but I have no ill will towards him and will continue to root for the GOAT!

I still don't understand…

I still don't understand what people see in Haskins on a Pro level. Is has talent sure. Strong arm, sure. However, I said from day 1 he will not be a great Pro QB for any sustained period of time. Poor reads, bad decision making and too many 50/50 balls in college that his superior talented WR bailed him out on. He has proven to not be the sharpest crayon in the box and continues to make the same mistakes over and over.

As an NFL scout I would think decision making and character would be near the top of the list for a QB. I said the same thing about Jameis Winston. Poor character and bad decision making. If you cant decide whether stealing crab legs is good or bad, jumping on tables and saying the stupid crap he said, plus once having sexual assault allegations, why would anyone think he could make the right decisions with the game on the line in the NFL? Is this the person you want as a leader of your team?

Name the last QB to win a Superbowl that the general public had concerns about their decision making, character etc? Maybe Big Ben in terms of character, but obviously proved from day 1 his decision making on the field was great, already won a Superbowl and had no prior character issues that I know of before his sexual assault case.

Haskins decision making and character traits look nothing like winning SB QB's: Mahomes, Brees, Brady, Rodgers, Wilson, Manning, Young, Montana etc... Why gamble on guys with poor character and bad decision making?

Is it the public putting that much pressure on NFL GM's to make these bad decisions?

Mike Leach.. the answer to…

Mike Leach.. the answer to your problems. Instant offense, absurd QB numbers and video game statistics... plus we can keep the awkward media interviews going.. albeit a little more entertaining.

I agree that the poll…

I agree that the poll ranking at this time of year does not matter too much. However, I do feel we’re a little undervalued right now. There are a few teams in front of us with multiple losses (Creighton, Texas Tech maybe even Illinois) that I don’t feel are justly in front of us. With that said, I noticed we were up to a projected 4 seed in the latest bracketology. That is certainly already much higher than most of us had pegged them. The season will play out and we will know a lot more in a few weeks once were deeper into the conference schedule.

Hopefully we will be able to…

Hopefully we will be able to see him in person and not still locked out of the stadium..

..on a side note anyone with a name like Rocky Lombardi gets a pass in my book.

- Bacon wrapped Pork…

- Bacon wrapped Pork Tenderloins I smoked on the Traeger. Turned out great as this was the first time doing them.

My wife, son and myself spent the day together . The wife got my son and I matching Jordans... brought back childhood  memories .

We did a few FaceTime calls with family. Definitely not a typical Christmas but we made the most of it.

Everyone is too worried…

Everyone is too worried about who Harbaugh is going to get for DC. Just relax, let the man make his selection and wait for next season when we will have a new head coach. Then we can start profiling who we will get.

Yea the 26th like my wife’s…

Yea the 26th like my wife’s as well, is a tough day for sure. This is my wife’s 40th, and I have tried to make this one as special as I can despite Covid. Trying to do as much as possible . I splurged a little for some gifts that I know she is not expecting. Cant do a whole lot of group type stuff but I do have a surprise dinner for her at her favorite restaurant. Her parents are going to show up there as a surprise from out of town. Hopefully I can at least help her forget about Covid for one day at least. Not how we would originally like to do a 40th,

6’-2” 327.. if he is in…

6’-2” 327.. if he is in discussion for CB then we might as well make him a two way starter and throw him in a tight end!!

I learned a very valuable…

I learned a very valuable lesson about this not too long after meeting my current wife. Her birthday is Dec 26th.. she explained to me (probably making sure I was listening) that growing up it sucked because her aunts, uncles , grandparents etc. would just group the two of them together. Then when she got older , no one was in town to go out and drink etc... she turned out ok I guess.. lol. Like you I have a summer birthday in August.. no excuses

Most important to me;

1…

Most important to me;

1. Can take over for Harbaugh as head coach when he gets fired next year after another sub par year and a humiliating loss to the team in Ohio.

2. A great recruiter

3. Someone a little younger, or at least willing to keep up with the times and build the program to compete with teams in modern era college football.. Hire an offensive coordinator with like mind , 1986 smash mouth or a handcuffed spread is not going to do it.

Happy birthday Jim, thanks…

Happy birthday Jim, thanks for..... eh never mind.

Crowd Noise Pretty impressive how loud we got in the later part of the second half. It’s funny I actually was having a conversation in the first half saying I expected us to be louder. Then when we made the run in the second half the crowd really went Blue, and the place was rocking! Great game, great atmosphere, One more! #Letsgo!! ( in my Tom Brady voice)
Good Place

Esquire Tavern is a great choice was there the other night. Has space upstairs, on patio and downstairs. Boiler house at the Pearl is great.

Another good option is the Paramour. Awesome bar on the end of the river walk towards the Pearl. Roof top, huge space and awesome drink selection. I know the bartenders and owner well.

Meet up

Im interested. I live in San Antonio and know the area well. Pear Brewery area would be great. Boiler House might be a good location down there. There are several spots there we could meet at.

San Antonio Meet Ups?

Are there any fans coming into San Antonio this weekend that want to do a Meet up at a local bar?

Mexican Place There are several good choices in town with different specialties: Tex Mex: - Lupe Tortilla - More authentic : ***Mi Tierra - one of the best and most historic places in town. This is down in the market downtown which is an absolute must to visit when your in town. Lots of shops vendors etc surround this restaurant and the food is phenomenal. FYI. Do not go in the heart of lunch or dinner time. This place is packed normally and I’m sure will be extra busy during this fine. However you can do all the outside stuff in the market while you wait for your table to be ready. Best tacos near downtown . Pete’s Tako House
Info Things to do close to downtown and Alamodome: - Visit the Pearl: awesome area with bars , restaurants, shops , etc. - Go to a rooftop bar on the river walk called “Paramour” . Coolest bar in the city. - Hemisfair Park: about a half mile from the Alamodome. This is where all the events and activities are taking place. Parking will be scarce. Best to Uber if you stay near by.
Info for San Antonio

If anyone needs any info on what to do, places to eat etc. let me know. I am in San Antonio and can make some reccomendations.
