Ohio St. clears Ohio St. of all wrongdoing
November 8th, 2023 at 9:08 PM ^
Don’t worry. Thamel vetted everything!
November 8th, 2023 at 8:48 PM ^
Honestly, he may have also had no idea this kind of thing was happening. Is it hard to believe there are networks of low level guys like Connor on all major teams colluding to get ahead and help their careers. I scratch your back, you scratch mine. We keep our superiors in the dark for plausible deniability. I think this is most likely case.
November 8th, 2023 at 8:56 PM ^
The problem is he said an investigation disproves it. He should have said no signs were found of doing so. So when the proof comes out it will show OSU isn’t capable of a proper internal review AND that they did it.
I can only think he did it to try to pressure any overnight decision making
November 8th, 2023 at 8:57 PM ^
Oh yeah, I'm fairly certain Day didn't personally send text messages to Purdue but it's funny to see the same fans dismissing Harbaugh's claims a couple weeks ago he had no knowledge what Stalions was doing rushing to the defense of Day and saying this is proof OSU did nothing wrong.
Anyway, they're clearly flailing and know this is going to turn out to not be the rival-destroying scandal they all hoped for and are realizing that perhaps their very special coach might actually just be a mediocre guy who can't handle pressure and snitched on a team he couldn't beat instead of just adapting like other programs did.
November 8th, 2023 at 9:05 PM ^
I'll never understand why, if you know that Michigan thinks they have your signals, you wouldn't turn that into an advantage for you for as long as you possibly could.
And I think the answer is that they tried last year and it made zero difference.
November 8th, 2023 at 9:14 PM ^
This is the point that I've not seen anyone talking about. Would be pretty easy to mess with a team who you know has deciphered your signs.
November 8th, 2023 at 9:19 PM ^
Right? Screw with the opposition till they figure it out, then switch to wrist bands at half time.
November 8th, 2023 at 9:20 PM ^
Riggght, and if it’s gone on for years you surely would of found a way to f’in protect your play calls LOL this is all on the incompetency of the coaches of any team that cry’s about such issue. Honestly extremely minute in the grand scheme of being called “the largest scandal in CFB history”
November 8th, 2023 at 9:02 PM ^
Generally, I would agree this is very possible.
However, this is Cryin' Charmin Day we're talking about here.
November 8th, 2023 at 11:04 PM ^
That’s a bingo! It’s don’t ask, don’t tell on how these sign stealers are so good at their jobs. You just give me what the opponent signs are, and I don’t care your methods.
Hopefully the narrative will shift from Stalions being a sick criminal ruining the integrity of college football, to just another sign stealer guy doing what sign stealers do. We just were unlucky enough to have enough haters out there to turn this into the “biggest scandal in sports history”.

Speaking of lightning rounds, let's see how fast this hits ESPN.
November 8th, 2023 at 9:00 PM ^
Pete Thamel will be reporting how awesome Ryan Day is and how trustworthy he is pretty soon.
November 8th, 2023 at 8:49 PM ^
Didn't the Feldman Athletic article state there were text messages confirming where the information came from?
November 8th, 2023 at 9:01 PM ^
Yep. It is going to drop and Day is going to look like an idiot. Hope they wait until the week of OSU game.
November 8th, 2023 at 8:49 PM ^
Of course he didn't. His brother dropped it off for him.
November 8th, 2023 at 8:50 PM ^
"nope, I have an alibi....I was busy that week scraping Jim Harbaugh's sack off my chin"

Coach Dye also denies using product on his beard.
November 8th, 2023 at 8:52 PM ^
r/cfb is foaming at the mouth because day mentioned that he “asked compliance”
as if no one has ever lied to a compliance officer
November 8th, 2023 at 9:38 PM ^
r/CFB is a cesspool right now. It's a anti-Michigan circle jerk devoid of rational thinking
November 8th, 2023 at 9:08 PM ^
What's inconceivable is that Wallace Shawn is still alive and looks exactly the same! I saw him last weekend, eating dinner in NY.
November 8th, 2023 at 9:20 PM ^
His father, William, was a Wolverine. (He was also editor of The New Yorker--yes, The New Yorker--and butt of one of my favorite pieces of all time, Tiny Mummies.)
November 8th, 2023 at 8:53 PM ^
But I can describe the evidence, that's enough, right B1G?
November 8th, 2023 at 8:53 PM ^
He is also on record saying OSU has only played 1 half of football in the last 2 years.
November 8th, 2023 at 8:54 PM ^
I don't usually read 11W, and I'll admit we've got some obnoxious posters and commenters here, but that comment section is full of some of the dumbest fucking responses I've seen in a while.
Also, I see they've moved from "TSUN" to "TCUN" in referring to Michigan, which I swear just makes their inability to name Michigan even sadder. Why they're fighting to protect the good name of Ryan Fucking Day is beyond me.
November 8th, 2023 at 9:05 PM ^
RCMB makes 11W look like Harvard Law School though.
November 8th, 2023 at 9:12 PM ^
True, but RCMB is just a shitty message board; 11 Warriors is supposed to be the leading OSU sports blog and "their" MGoBlog. They have some good writers there in stuff I've read but overall the site is a mediocre subreddit with a nicer CRM.

November 8th, 2023 at 8:58 PM ^
What a hypocrite. “We want to ignore all that noise”. You started the noise. Wouldn’t be any noise without you.
November 8th, 2023 at 8:58 PM ^
Well now I think we should give him the benefit of the doubt. I mean, there isn't conclusive proof that he knew! Certainly he wouldn't expect anyone to punish him without an investigation.
November 8th, 2023 at 9:04 PM ^
He should be suspended indefinitely until the facts come out. Can't take any chances.
November 8th, 2023 at 9:00 PM ^
Well, I'm happy that he's in the position of feeling the need to deny it.
November 8th, 2023 at 9:03 PM ^
He's feeling the heat. His beard is going to start dripping black dye.
November 8th, 2023 at 9:09 PM ^
Or go up in flames which would be way more exciting.
November 8th, 2023 at 9:01 PM ^
No, the little bitch probably gave them to Rutgers, who then packaged them up with their own signs and sent them on to Purdue.
November 8th, 2023 at 9:02 PM ^
He also denies more than one bad half the last two years. The guy is delusional!

November 8th, 2023 at 9:08 PM ^
"Ohhhh.. those signs. Right, right." - Ryan Day, 10 days from now after the electronic paper trail is linked from an OSU Athletic Department PC to a Purdue Athletic Department PC.
November 8th, 2023 at 9:11 PM ^
I cannot wait to see the text from Brent Zdebski to whomever showing they shared our signs.
November 8th, 2023 at 9:14 PM ^
I think n the live interview Ryan Day said something closer too”I’ll only answer questions from Gene Smith about it “
November 8th, 2023 at 9:17 PM ^
So, now the rest of coaches need to call Pettiti and demand that he be fired, right?
November 8th, 2023 at 9:22 PM ^
Good. After seeing them dance on us for two plus weeks on Xwitter, im glad they get to experience some anxiety over this. Especially since, oh you know, bitch made started this mess..
