Logged in just to upvote the O’Korn reference. When I saw he was entering the draft I couldn’t believe it. But good on him for giving his dreams a shot.

Are we sure he won’t just…

Are we sure he won’t just enter the portal to try and get paid and start for a lesser team?

Attended alumni Camp…

Attended alumni Camp Michigania growing up, from age 1 onward. I remember singing the victors as a toddler looking out at Walloon Lake. Attended my first Michigan football game at age 7. Earliest sports memory is Michigan beating OSU in 1995 to send Northwestern to the Rose Bowl. I was never not a fan of Michigan sports.

Wimbledon 2019

Federer looses to Djokovic in 5 sets after having 2 championship points on his serve. Devastating knowing that was his last chance at a major and the narrative ramifications. Djokovic and Nadal probably still would have broken his record, but who knows how different things go if he wins that one.

I come from a Michigan…

I come from a Michigan family. I’ve been a fan since I was a little kid in the 90s. The 97 season is probably my earliest sports memory outside of Jordan’s Bulls.

Since then, I was used to Michigan Football being pretty good at best, and embarrassing at worst.

The surprising success of the last three seasons brought me and my parents closer together and Monday felt like the culmination and storybook ending to an incredibly dramatic journey.

My feelings at the end were mixed. And for a season full of so many emotional moments. This was almost like a coronation. Felt like the first big ten championship after the 2021 osu victory. It seemed inevitable after the opening drive.
Incredible joy that they won. But also sad that it’s the end of an amazing journey.  Most of these stars I’ve come to love over the last three seasons and possibly the coaches will be moving on next season. I feel like I could watch this particular team play on and on forever. Watching them battle and overcome the odds again and again was inspiring in a way that evokes the feelings only one other sports team has given me - the 2016 Cubs. But that particularly team felt (incorrectly) like the beginning of a dynasty. This feels like the end.

What this team accomplished is remarkable in ways I think it will take years to appreciate. They didn’t just beat the teams in front of them. They beat the media, the public scrutiny, the private scrutiny, the anonymous coaches, endless hate and vitriol from other fanbases, suspensions, etc.

I’m the kind of sports fan more attracted to inspiring stories and charismatic personalities then the grind of stats, schemes and recruiting. And this year really had it all.

I think time will only further exonerate this team from the Stallions allegations and I think this season will make one of the greatest sports documentaries if they ever get around to it. Go Blue Forever.

When Michigan beats Alabama,…

When Michigan beats Alabama, I hope everyone keeps their receipts.

Fox sports is pretty good!…

Fox sports is pretty good! But if you really want the fastest score updates…the fanduel sportsbook can’t be beat. I kid you not.

I get it. If this is dragged…

I get it. If this is dragged out, it really becomes an emotional distraction at a time we need to be preparing for the game. It sucks. But I believe Harbaugh is doing this in the best interest of Michigan winning out.

So now this impending…

So now this impending decision just hangs over the season like the sword of Damocles?

Honestly, he may have also…

Honestly, he may have also had no idea this kind of thing was happening. Is it hard to believe there are networks of low level guys like Connor on all major teams colluding to get ahead and help their careers. I scratch your back, you scratch mine. We keep our superiors in the dark for plausible deniability. I think this is most likely case.

With everything that’s…

With everything that’s happened over the last few weeks, I have to presume NCAA and Big 10 will do everything in their power to ensure we loose one of our next few games. I’m talking sharing of all signs and scouting knowledge between coaches. Non bias referees. Knowledge of players weaknesses and strengths. Anything within the rules and gray area to humiliate Michigan. Feels like we’re not just playing Penn State next weekend. Feels like we are playing the entire Big Ten including the administration. Michigan vs Everybody

Is this the last dance?…

Edit - removed my post, wrong thread

Game is being played in…

Game is being played in Chicago at Wrigley Field, not Evanston. Kind of neat, and befitting of two teams that can’t score.

I think this makes sense for…

I think this makes sense for CFP rankings though. CFP is about winning to get in, not who the best team might appear to be. Iowa for instance, is not good, but if they hadn’t had that punt return called back and managed to win out, they would still belong in the CFP, because they won their way in. Maybe this is not the insightful comment I formed in my head, but with the meat of the season coming up, it will all sort itself out.

This brings up a good point…

This brings up a good point. Let’s say IF Michigan was willing or even wanting to fire Harbaugh, they would have to complete and internal investigation and find cause. If they fired him without due diligence, Harbaugh could sue their pants off - similar to what we are seeing happen with Fitzgerald at Northwestern. Other universities at the very least, need to understand they can’t just fire him without evidence and investigation. So suspension is what they are after.

You’re just here to gloat…

You’re just here to gloat and for schadenfreude even if you’re pretending to frame your statement as a question. I’m sure there are Michigan fans who do this on Buckeye message boards. But there’s a special twisted sadness for folks who log into other teams message boards to troll. Your buckeye “sources” sound about as reliable as the Michigan “sources” who foresee the best possible outcome for Michigan. Regardless, if the media and other sources had more evidence that somehow proved Harbaugh knew, why wait to release that? And if presented with that evidence, why would our school president not immediately put Harbaugh on leave and prepare to fire him? I believe the Day connection does seem like wishful thinking. But a mysterious third party PR firm was hired to do this. And it’s too much of a hit job to be internal. If it was internal, the firm would have brought its findings to the university to have them fire Jim. This didn’t happen. It’s an outside source trying to damage to Whole program, not just Harbaugh.

I may be a dumb man, but i just don’t totally understand what you’re implying about harmon4heisman. Is it Ryan Day in the flesh come to post on this board and discourage us investigating him? Is it Stallions trying to muddy his tracks??? Some kind of insider??? Ono is that you???

My prediction: They’re going…

My prediction: They’re going to suspend the entire coaching staff for the remainder of the season. JJ and Sainristil take over as player coaches. Michigan completely shuts out it’s remaining opponents on unstoppable march to National Championship rendering non player coaches obsolete. Day and Franklin are fired. Michigan destroys Georgia so badly, people begin comparing the event to Sherman’s March. Football is saved. Union is saved. Thank you Jim, this was your plan all along.

His follow up tweet is also worth noting: “if you went to all 125 teams you could find the same thing. You’d find a violation that you could make a major issue. It happens everywhere. Everyone else is left alone because they don’t speak against the machine.”

As fans, I feel like we need to unanimously support profit sharing for college athletes

It’s open season on UofM now…

It’s open season on UofM now. In any organization as large as this, weird stuff happens. It’s a statistical probability. All of ours is just getting brought to the surface right now. I’m glad they responded quickly and removed this guy. But it’s just more fuel for the fire at this point. Media loves it.

It seems like wishful…

It seems like wishful thinking at this point that other schools will somehow become exposed. Any smart college program has spent the last 2 weeks sealing any possible leaks and making sure they end any grey area activity.

Yeah if this happens, I’m…

Yeah if this happens, I’m never watching college sports again.

I don’t understand all the…

I don’t understand all the secret sources. It just screams total bullshit. Two weeks into this mess and NOBODY is willing to go on record as a  source in any of these stories? Wtf? This isn’t government secrets. Nobody’s life is at stake. If Michigan broke obvious rules why would people want to hide in fear and not publicly call them out? It’s so shady. And now the move for mob justice. It makes me sick. I don’t know how this ends. But I do hope one day Harbaugh and the players get a chance to finish out the season uninterrupted and clear their names one day. If they get screwed out of a championship opportunity because of this, I hope other schools get what’s coming.

Anytime in my life Ive…

Anytime in my life Ive encountered a media narrative or story that I had either personal knowledge or personal investment in, I walk away flabbergasted at the blatant inaccuracies and total disregard for fairness. After this whole debacle, I don’t think I will ever fully trust what I hear in the news again.

Seems like there were a…

Seems like there were a couple insiders saying that a few more bad things would come out in the story that hadn’t been leaked yet. I have to assume this is what they were talking about. Rumor is that this isn’t the only game Stallions did this at. So much for the, we didn’t really break any rules, it’s a grey area argument. supposedly this wasn’t the only game he did this at? I just hope this is finally the last piece to drop.

I know everyone is convinced…

I know everyone is convinced this entire situation will motivate Michigan to roll everyone they play this year. But how is this not possibly a negative distraction to the mood and focus of the team? They are mostly just kids and they are only human after all. And coaches and staff on the team must be worried for their jobs/careers/reputations. I would love to see Michigan come through this mostly unscathed with hell to pay. But I don’t know how this doesn’t at the very least derail the teams iron focus.

This is the happiest any…

This is the happiest any buckeye fan has been about college football since that day in November 2021. I like to think I wouldn’t be feeling this way if the positions were reversed, but I can’t promise it.

This does feel like the…

This does feel like the rivalry has crossed a line that now extends well beyond the game. The escalation and toxic feelings and no stone unturned competition have led us to this. Maybe we crossed the final line through this scandal, or maybe they crossed the line by exposing us for something they are just as guilty of. Either way, barring some amazing new twist, we have lost the PR war and any semblance of moral superiority. If other teams, especially OSU were to get exposed in mass that would certainly help even the playing field. But maybe we really did build a bridge too far. Or maybe they are just better at covering their tracks. Either way, it’s a sad situation and distracts from the amazing team we have this year and all the hard work those in the organization who are innocent have done to get us to this place.

I really love this team…

I really love this team. Watching them the last few years has been a bright spot in some tough times and a source of bonding for my family. And I’m sure many others feel the same. These rules are stupid and antiquated, but it seems there is evidence somebody in the organization blatantly broke them. I just feel terrible for those on the team and in the organization who were totally unaware of this. Michigan finally has the pinnacle within reach and it all starts tumbling down. It’s somehow poetic.

I feel bad for the players…

I feel bad for the players honestly. At a time where we should just be celebrating their success and reveling in their awesomeness, another controversy.

Three contributing factors:…

Three contributing factors: Offensive line not as good (yet). Defenses scheming to stop him. He put on more muscle weight in the off-season (might slow him slightly).
