I am still stunned by that pick. Not a Falconss fan but I live outside Atlanta. I’ve been to a few games over the years, no way I’m buying tickets to see Cousin Penix. 

I tend to think the best guys out there to evaluate an NFL quarterback are current and former NFL quarterbacks. 

And there are at least three I know of (Harbaugh, Klatt and O’Connell) who believe in JJ.

I grew up on CT - right on the Red Sox / Yankees line. I went with the Sox because I had a Jim Rice mitt, but there were many lean years with that decision. 

SF just picked DeJean. Good pick.

I've always thought the Cincy cheer "Who dey" is pretty lame.

Given that they were stocking up to try and get JJ at 5 and didn't need to, I think they're okay with this.  In my mind, they just walked away with the best QB and the best defensive player in the draft.

They could have gotten him in the 20s.

So crazy.  I was pulling for them to take JJ, but didn't really expect they would take a QB.  Now to see them take a QB and it is Penix.  I am completely shocked.
