So basically you want credit for saying there will be a contract extension, which hasn't even happened yet?
Sorry, not going to give you credit for that.
November 2nd, 2023 at 10:54 AM ^
I didn't copy and paste the whole post. Sorry.
November 2nd, 2023 at 10:55 AM ^
Meaning...you refuse to clarify anything for me? Okay, no problem. I will happily go back to ignoring you.
November 2nd, 2023 at 11:15 AM ^
When/if they shut our season down over this, remember I said it was possible and Balas told you it wasn't.
November 2nd, 2023 at 11:34 AM ^
I also said it was possible. I didn't need a source to give me hypotheticals.
November 2nd, 2023 at 11:48 AM ^
I'm supposed to believe you over Sam Webb & Balas. Oh okay got it.
November 2nd, 2023 at 10:54 AM ^
You really should reveal your source to Brian and Seth. They're trustworthy. You'd get much more traction here (which I assume you want since you continue to post about these things) if they gave you their blessing. They just want to make sure people aren't posting misinformation. I would think you want that, too.
November 2nd, 2023 at 10:55 AM ^
Of course I do. My source was not cool with me sharing his identity. So I am just sharing what I know to be fact from him in the comments of other threads. It is not ideal.
November 2nd, 2023 at 11:00 AM ^
You should take this information to Pete Thamel then. He loves using anonymous sources and doesn’t care how credible the info is as long as it slanders Michigan. Your info would be better received by him.
November 2nd, 2023 at 11:11 AM ^
LOL. I came here for a reason. I've spent more time on this board than anywhere else. Not giving that cockroach anything.
November 2nd, 2023 at 11:05 AM ^
Two questions… First, what new language is needed for protection? Wouldn’t his current contract even allow for termination for the potential punishments being discussed.
Second, I saw you say it few times now that it’s nearly impossible for a staffer to go “awol” the night before a game. Why do you feel that way when Michigan’s game the next day was in Ann Arbor and the CMU/MSU game was in East Lansing? Michigan had a Noon game, and you’d assume players and coaches would be showing up early in the morning. I know the players stay in a hotel. I sure some staff do as well, but I wasn’t aware all the coaches and staff do. How would it be impossible that a staffer couldn’t take that short drive to East Lansing the night before? Just curious.
November 2nd, 2023 at 11:08 AM ^
Not to mention that he procured a bunch of CMU gear plus a CMU sideline pass with no one being the wiser. It’s clear he had his methods for hiding information.
November 2nd, 2023 at 11:09 AM ^
I didn't ask for clarity on that part and I didn't play so I don't know. My speculative assumption would be the coaches are also supposed to be in the team hotel.
One step further - that was the last night Jim was available to talk game plan with the staff since he was suspended the next day.
November 2nd, 2023 at 11:11 AM ^
So what? You seem to draw a lot of connections that aren’t actually there.
November 2nd, 2023 at 11:17 AM ^
I don’t know the hotel rules with coaches either, but I wouldn’t speculate that all the analysts and staff are necessarily in the game plan meeting the night before. Also, my speculative assumption, based on the non-stop coverage of the self-imposed suspension by the media, is that Harbaugh was in his own bed the night before the game. My money says the ECU game plan was not going deep into the night before the game, and even if it was, it would be with specific personnel as opposed to full staff.
November 2nd, 2023 at 11:17 AM ^
And he is an analyst..not considered a coach. Yes he was on sidelines but he is not a coach
November 2nd, 2023 at 11:10 AM ^
Isn't there already language protecting the school in all these contracts?
November 2nd, 2023 at 11:13 AM ^
I'm not going to copy and paste all my replies to the same questions here. If there's a question here I didn't address it's because I already answered it based on what I was told that day and got called a liar. It was fresh in my mind that day. I trust whatever I wrote.
November 2nd, 2023 at 12:10 PM ^
Verified insiders said that the extension is on going. They also said that there will additional clause in there about this scandal but they are not waiting around for that to happen before that is happening.
You just framed those two things in a very negative way. Ex: Ono jamming it. Admin and Harbaugh are not in good terms. "Fighting back". And then if CS was at CMU with Harbaugh's blessing because it is difficult for someone (Ed: my addition on a Friday night) to go to a game without Harbaugh knowing about it.
It is basically reading as you have some truth sprinkled with bunch of negative stuff. And you wonder why no one wants to believe you.
Just state the facts rather than all these opinions and you will be fine.
November 2nd, 2023 at 10:42 AM ^
Apologies for what? You said Harbaugh is as good as gone. This post is about a meeting with athletic directors. Still waiting for you to be right about something
November 2nd, 2023 at 10:47 AM ^
It's been confirmed that the coaches bailed on the NCAA interviews and honestly do you still think the extension is on the table? We will be lucky to finish the season and some of you guys still think they're going to extend the HC. Give me a break.
November 2nd, 2023 at 10:49 AM ^
Confirmed by whom? Your source?
November 2nd, 2023 at 10:50 AM ^
It's been confirmed that the coaches bailed on the NCAA interviews
It was?
honestly do you still think the extension is on the table?
Didn't you just say above 2 seconds ago that Ono was pushing it through?
November 2nd, 2023 at 10:56 AM ^
That was from Monday. I don't know if it is still on the table at this point. On Monday, no one knew Stalions had camera glasses on at that game. It's all different now.
November 2nd, 2023 at 11:13 AM ^
Camera glasses, huh? We KNOW that now?
One three second glance at your posting history shows me your source is a subscription you pay for. Repeatedly begging for an apology even when your info is bad, probably isn't a good look.
November 2nd, 2023 at 11:20 AM ^
What? I'm telling you the subscription I pay for is not accurate.
November 2nd, 2023 at 11:16 AM ^
On Monday, no one knew Stalions had camera glasses on at that game.
Camera glasses? Do you have actual proof of this?
November 2nd, 2023 at 11:26 AM ^
In the video floating around, his glasses give off this quick, blue light. You can buy a pair of video recording sunglasses with a blue light in the exact same space. Of course, anything can be modified with tech, but it's not out of the realm of possibility.
November 2nd, 2023 at 11:34 AM ^
If that's true then he is seriously an idiot of the highest order. He's going to have to move out of the country.
November 2nd, 2023 at 11:41 AM ^
I still dont get why the fuck he would think that the best way to record Sparty's signs would be to dress up as an opposing coach, sneak onto their sidelines and then record from all the way across the football field rather than like...buying a ticket 10-15 rows up. I mean clearly this dude is a bit fucked in the head and is alleged to have done some dumb stuff but this just doesn't make sense to me.
November 2nd, 2023 at 12:27 PM ^
And why go to all this effort against a garbage MSU team? Even before Tuck's leavin', everyone expected them to suck.
November 3rd, 2023 at 2:33 AM ^
Glad you posted this. Did somebody confirm that there are similar glasses that give off a blue light? Because the RayBan glasses that people were posting give off a white light when recording. I went to the YouTube review of those glasses to confirm. I couldn't find any similar glasses that gave off a blue light when recording. Also - was there a clip longer than 2 seconds showing that blue light? I couldn't find that either.
November 2nd, 2023 at 11:24 AM ^
FWIW I have absolutely no way of knowing if your source is Warde Manual himself or if you're simply spinning this narrative out of whole cloth or something in-between. But speaking as someone who has been here a lot and for a very long time I can tell you with absolute certainty that the board behaves as follows when a poster claims to have inside info.
Good news about Michigan - upvotes and general acceptance of the claim. Very little pushback on claim, other posters can and will corroborate said story
Bad news about Michigan - downvotes and general rejection of the claim. Lots of pushback up to and including accusing the poster of lying, other posters will look for holes in the story in attempt to discredit it.
November 2nd, 2023 at 11:30 AM ^
I mean, isn't that just human nature? We like things that sound good and don't like things that sound bad.
November 2nd, 2023 at 11:39 AM ^
Sopwith did not give us good news. Sopwith gave us credible sounding info and people took it seriously. And he turned out to be right.
I don't know if you've been following this goblue### person but their posts are never shown to be correct, sometimes are shown to be wrong, and the posts themselves don't respond directly or meaningfully to questions. It's garbled nonsense.
November 2nd, 2023 at 11:50 AM ^
True, although I'd argue Sopwith's news was generally positive in that it confirmed bad news was coming but it not to "bite our fingernails off" because of it.
Does anybody else wonder who Sopwith really is? One clue, if I cared enough to investigate it, is that I remember years ago him defending officials after a game where we basically got hosed out of a win and I think I remember him saying he used to be an official at one time. I mean this might be a decade back because he's been around as long as me.
I do find it a bit concerning that he's posted nothing since last Friday night.
November 2nd, 2023 at 11:59 AM ^
I'd argue Sopwith's news was generally positive in that it confirmed bad news was coming but it not to "bite our fingernails off" because of it.
I get what you're saying but when Sopwith was telling us about the vast network and how it worked he was literally the only one putting this information out. It was at a time where we all wanted to believe there was literally nothing happening. In the moment it was actually quite bad news.
Your overall take on how we as a board react to good news and bad news is valid. I'm just saying here, goblue### is not simply telling us "bad news." He's making a lot of straight up garbage posts.
As for Sopwith not posting lately, I don't personally read anything into that. He clearly had knowledge of what Stalions was up to somehow, but I don't think that means he's intimately involved with the program. Sopwith hasn't been some message board insider before.
November 2nd, 2023 at 11:44 AM ^
To be fair regarding this particular poster, there are people on this board who claim to be in the know. Then they put out contrary information to other posters who also claim to be in the know (e.g. Sopwith). Sopwith has apparently cleared his source with the powers that be, so we can somewhat safely rely on that information. This poster won't do that. So given that other posters will, I think denying this poster credibility is more that he puts stuff out there without any vetting. It's just, "Trust me on this."
November 2nd, 2023 at 12:13 PM ^
This post is bad news about Michigan (and its main board). Thus, I downvote.
November 2nd, 2023 at 1:15 PM ^
Plus, the guy said, "When they shut down our season over this...." Based on all the information out there and a reading of the rules, which a few diligently did on this board, are we supposed to tacitly accept this?
November 2nd, 2023 at 11:29 AM ^
Monday night: Stalions at CMU pic comes out.
Tuesday night: Raiders fire GM and coach
Wednesday night: B1G coaches pressure commissioner to ban Michigan from championship game eligibility
Thursday night: Harbaugh and coordinators fired
Friday night: Harbaugh hired as Raiders coach with full personnel control
Saturday night: Saturday interim coach Lloyd Carr leads Michigan to 63-0 victory over Purdue
Makes sense to me.
November 2nd, 2023 at 12:24 PM ^
This claim is already debunked by verified insiders. STOP. Don't do us any favors. Don't share your insider info unless you are ready to verify
November 2nd, 2023 at 1:14 PM ^
Go. Away.
November 2nd, 2023 at 11:01 AM ^
You said
I am hearing Jim is out. Trying to confirm with my primary source.
Sorry if we're not all groveling
November 2nd, 2023 at 11:04 AM ^
You actually quote the part where I say I hadn't confirmed it yet. Thank you.
November 2nd, 2023 at 11:42 AM ^
Sorry man, you’re throwing lots of stuff at the wall and trying to claim a W for what sticks and ignore what doesnt. Doesnt make for a reputable source if you’re not gonna be careful with unconfirmed rumors
November 2nd, 2023 at 4:00 PM ^
There are 2 pieces here:
1) You reported that you are hearing Harbaugh is out. Who did you hear that from if it wasn't from your source?
2) You hadn't confirmed with your source yet. Implying there is one source you have for information. You "heard" something from an unknown person and before you could ask your source who apparently is readily available to give you all this information, you came here to post it. I'm not expecting insiders to be trained reporters that seek out multiple confirmations before reporting anything, but where did this second source come from and why did you rush to post it before talking with your primary source?
Sorry man, it just doesn't add up. Has nothing to do with most of your updates being negative in nature and everything to do with the illogical nature of your posts and your inability to verify with the admins. You have zero credibility here as an insider and should just go back to being a Michigan fan that posts here every 5-6 years like you had been prior to this.
November 2nd, 2023 at 10:40 AM ^
My favorite part about this post is that it says it's a rumor.
November 2nd, 2023 at 11:03 AM ^
The news last night of Big Ten coaches actively trying to submarine Michigan leaves me extremely bitter towards this conference. So much so that I do think UM should explore alternative conferences or independence.
Yes, I know this is really unlikely due to money, but how can UM compete in a conference where coaches are openly trying to cut you off at the knees? This situation is damaging Michigan and the Big Ten brand significantly.
November 2nd, 2023 at 11:07 AM ^
To me this illustrates why the conference hasn’t won a championship in forever. Too many coaches hellbent on getting others in trouble while trying to maintain an image of doing things the right way instead of focusing on their own teams and how they can win games.
