While I understand a lot of this sentiment, I think there's at least something to be said for taking more bids out of the hands of a committee. Who says that #14 B1G school is #14, and that Auburn is #25? A bunch of fat cats? Automatic qualifiers at least means your spot is earned by how many games you've won and lost.

It's weird that the article mentions Guaranteed Rate being 10 miles south of Evanston like it's a problem, when SeatGeek Stadium is even further south. Not to mention Lambeau obviously being even further away (it's in Green Bay, WI not Green Bay Rd).

Right. It's honeslty surprising he coached here at all in the first place. Coaches who have been to the conference championship three times in a row just don't randomly go to coach in college, even if it's Michigan.

I know, it's totally unimportant if we get a coach who's been to the Super Bowl and won a national championship or.... someone else, what's important is that we know which one it is now!!!
