I haven't watched him at all so I have no opinion, but the graph Brian shared on Twitter yesterday of ESPN QBR vs. EPA/play for all P5 QBs was real rough. As in, Dante Moore was quite a bit lower than Katin Houser and Heinrich Haarberg. Like, better-than-only-Deacon-Hill bad.

I would just embed the image of it here but I can't figure out how to do that without the site timing out on me

Everyone knows it.  People are saying it.  Good people, the best people.  /s

I actually agree with Salvatore.  True freshman QB's generally suck.  I don't remember and don't care enough to look up if Chad Henne was a true freshman or RS, but he might be the exception to the rule.  Of course, he was on a really good team surrounded by talent, and the system they ran was pretty risk-averse.  One wonders if Lloyd would have won another NC or two if it was just a bit more wide-open.

I generally agree with what you've written about Moore here. And if the coaches want him, that's all I need to know.

But I've seen you compare Davis to Cade a couple of times now. Where do you get this from? I went back and reread Davis' "Hello" post and it doesn't read "Cade Redux" to me at all. It talks a lot about his ability to improvise, make plays on the run, etc. The arm strength might be similar, but that's about it as far as I could tell.

Dude, give it a rest.  All you do is say Dante is a 5* and Davis is another Cade.  Dante did NOT play like a like 5*, and worse, certainly wasn't a 5* teammate.  And I assure you, Davis is not another Cade, who calls Michigan "that other school."  Don't disrespect him with that gross comp.  BTW, did you even watch Dante play and see his demeanor?  He was just that bad, not just performance wise but his attitude and behavior on the sideline.  Obviously, I trust our coaches, but knowing what I saw, it's a hard pass.  Rather have another experienced transfer to bridge the gap.

Agreed.  Remember how the story was that OSU was silent going up the tunnel at half?  And then two weeks later 11 players enter the portal?  That's the locker room you get with 4/5* players who came in looking for a bag, instead of loving the game and the school.  So far Dante reminds me more of the "out for me" mindset type of player that OSU has, not the "Team, theTteam, the Team" type of player that we have.

Davis is small and doesn’t have an elite arm or athleticism. Sounds like Cade to me.

Cade beat OSU and won the Big Ten in his first year as a starter. If you think that  is insulting Davis then I don’t know what else to say to you. I see Davis with a similar ceiling.

Davis isn’t an elite prospect. Sorry that hurts your feelings.

THIS...my real concern with Dante isn't just limited to his on field production, rather it's his attitude and demeanor.  I've watched a lot of Dante this season, and there were several occasions, when thing went sideways, he seemed to pout, looked disinterested and isolated himself on the sideline  That last game against Cal, he not only single handedly lost the game, but he basically gave up on his team.  He did not want to be there.  Freshmen or not, this is a major character flaw and poor leadership qualities that I hesitate to see in Ann Arbor as it could ruin our locker room.

Is this just pouting?
