Quick birthday idea - My son (21) got an Uber card to load on his phone as part of his 21st birthday gift. He has no excuses. And he will get one for years to come.
The mistake on the kid's part was not proactively paying back that amount, plus interest. If he had done that, then simply enrolled, the NCAA would have most likely accepted this action as a "doing the right thing" and let him play.
We do this all the time with potential tax judgements. It generally works out with the body in charge if you proactively try to amend the mistake.
That being said the NCAA is absurd and quite frankly, nonsense altogether. Screw them.

Juwan should not under any circumstances still be our head BB coach. He's embarrassed the university- repeatedly. And I don't mean with the win loss record. He still sitting on that bench is 100%, 1000%, on Warde.

If we eat some contract money because of a show cause, we've got plenty. Goodness knows it isn't going to NIL.
4 out of the last 5 games included us facing Jefferson, the Rams group of receivers, and Mike Evans. Minus Deebo, the 49ers are a clear step down against our weak spot (secondary)
And if we get to the Super Bowl, neither KC's nor the Ravens have a scary group of receivers.
I don't give one little peanut poop what color Moore is. Can he win football games, and do it while being a good representation of the university (looking at you Juwan)? That is what should matter. Moore seems like a great guy, so here goes nothing I guess.

And we just handed the keys to the Ferrari to an inexperienced driver, and forced him to drive with one (NIL) hand tied behind his back due to our approach to NIL. And Harbaugh overcame despite the hurdles, only to see Michigan jerk him around with contract language for 6 months. If we wanted him we should have given him the farm. If he's hired chalk me up as skeptical. He is a first time head coach, who sat in for 3 hours on (4) Saturdays this year running the game plan that Jim put in place during the week. Now he's supposed to be the man? With no real experience being the man? This smells like ND's hiring of what's his name. And they've been mediocre at best. Sherrone seems like an INCREDIBLE person, and maybe an incredible coach? But who knows how he will fair being the CEO of the state's biggest athletic program. I'd prefer a tried and true coach. But if Sherrone gets it, I won't be mad. Just worried.

I'd put myself down for a 5. I won't actively follow them throughout the season, but minus my Lions, I don't see why I wouldn't root for Jim.
