MBB vs Nebraska - Do we Care???
Final home game. Does it exist if no one watches?
Cobra Commander, because he put together strategies in his gameplan like Harbaugh did, while Serpentor tried using brute strength in his like Day does with talent.
I was watching A-Team re-runs instead of the game. I would hire Hanibal Smith to be our next head coach. He knows how to bring a team together and loves it when a plan comes together.
Hell yes to this! Love it.
Hell yisssss
That's hilarious because I was watching the original Transformers cartoon season 1 while not watching the game!
Remember when this team started 3-0? Only won 5 of their final 28 games.
But sure, Manuel, run it back w/ Howard.
Ppl were worried about Dug leaving early lol. Guy who is all of spud Webb size and can't defend a single nba player. Cassius winston 10x the player but can't sniff nba but dug leaving early per half the board in Nov
Transfer. Not NBA
I saw a solid coaching effort at Crisler today.
I wouldn't be opposed to having that at the helm for Michigan for the 24/25 season.
Logged in to downvote, whether it’s sarcasm or not
Read it again carefully and consider the alternate possibility to your interpretation.
Fred Hoiberg?
I'm not saying Hoiberg's the best candidate, but he'd surely be an upgrade.
Old enough to remember the 2013 NCAA Men's Basketball championship game between Louisville and Michigan. This season, Michigan finishes last in the Big Ten with a 3-17 record and 8-23 overall and Louisville finishes last in the ACC with a 3-17 record and 8-23 overall. The times they are a -changin!
And Trey Burke cleanly blocked Peyton Siva's shot.
It still hurts. Michigan was the true champion - the best team on the court but beaten by the refs. And Louisville vacated their title due to cheating.
Michigan should be recognized by the NCAA as national champions that year.
I know people love to say Michigan wins that game without the block, but fail to remember we were still losing when it happened.
Hard to say who wins and I don't know who says Michigan would have won otherwise but there were a number of horrendous calls in that game.
Old enough to remember the 2013 game? LOL! I'm old enough to remember the 1989 championship. Now that was a team! And yet the Fab Five gets all the accolades (and yes, I loved the Fab Five).
I'm also old enough to remember watching THIS GAME in a black-and-white broadcast on a small TV.
Manuel should care, and I only care whether Manuel cares or not.
This is worse than the Ellerbe era.
Agree. We never had this bad of a record under Ellerbe and never finished dead last either with him at the healm.
I never call for a coach's firing. But ......it's his fifth season. With little in the pipeline. No tournament for 2 straight years. Is he going to re-invent himself as a major college coach?
Another second half bagel for dug
From Blue Blood to Poo blood
No. We don't.
I wonder if fans would agree right now to accept another year like this with Juwan in exchange for the football team winning the national championship again.
Nope because I don’t believe in hypothetical’s, I deal with reality and the reality is that Juwan is a terrible head coach and needs to be fired today. What makes it worse is that our rival fired their head coach mid season and now are playing their way into the ncaa tournament.
OSU in tourney?? Who has them in?
They're not in as of right now but if you read around the other boards, they're the team no one wants to play. They're cooking right now after firing their worthless-underachieving HC. That's a big hint Warde
It's true they're on a roll with Diebler, but OSU might also have to hire him full time now, and unless he's a Brad Stevens type it's likely his ceiling will top out at what Holtmann was already doing. I guess we'll see, but it's a pretty big risk to be a program like OSU handing over the reigns to someone with zero high major HC experience.
And yes, I see the parallels with Michigan and Sherrone Moore, but at the time of Harbaugh's departure, there was really no other choice than to elevate Moore. OSU thought they would get a spot at the front of the coaching line, but it's looking like they may not even be a player.
I assume this was the reason we won an NC in football. We had to make a sacrifice to the college sports gods.
No it’s not the reason. But man everything needs a reason I guess.
Of course. I’d make that trade every single year
I know we joke about that but football and basketball have nothing to do with each other and Warde Manuel had more of his hands on basketball than football. Harbaugh wasn't his guy.

Of course they don't correlate in real life, but for the sake of the thought exercise, I'd happily sacrifice basketball in exchange for more football championships. Not even thinking twice about it.
Chris Collins should be hired the second northwestern bows our NCAA. Won't complain about admissions standards. Develops players. Won't fucking fight coaches and strength coaches despite being in Chicago for years.
This program needs an enema. There is not home run hire. Get this back to respectability. Rutgers is destroying us in recruiting. Rutgers
Chris Collins is from a very different part of Chicago and a very different upbringing.
EDIT: I also don’t think Collins would come here unless we fix the systemic issues with the program.
I don't think Chris Collins would come here. He's from the Chicago area and has a job where there is no pressure from the alumni, fans or media and losing in the first round of the NCAA is considered a major success. Why would he jump in a dumpster on fire?
Money, and the ability to get to the NCAA tournament more than twice a decade.

It’s 10:10 p.m. est and Juwan Howard hasn’t been fired yet. What is taking so long?
Saw part of the 2nd half - could have written the script

The last time I cared this little about March Madness there was a pandemic on the horizon and the whole thing was canceled. It's canceled this year too, but probably just for our team.
