Just checking in and 28 comments at the half has to be a record of futility and apathy.

If it wasn't for Dug getting his homework done and hitting all those threes, this could have been over at the half. As it stands, Nebraska doing whatever they want, and Juwan is doing his best Izzo on the floor playing defense impression.

And don't forget, second half adjustments forthcoming! Juwan has tried to have Dug deny Tomi the ball, but then most of the time they have nobody on the ball when Tomi has it. Who knew?

Nebraska motion and screen game is top notch

Dug doesn’t care, why should we? He had plenty of time to switch with Reed on that last play and guard Tominaga. Instead, he stuck with Rienk and let Reed try to guard Tominaga.

Late to the party but to answer OP, I’m mildly interested in just how badly Tominaga is going to abuse this defense. He’s been in a mini-slump but playing Michigan could be a nice salve.

Edit: yup

Well, I think WE care.....

The people who could make decisions to improve whatever this is, on the other hand....well, I am sure they would say they do, but it doesn't feel like it when you're outside looking in.

Wouldn't want to get Cheddar any 3 opportunities would we? He's shooting over 50% but doesn't get the ball when open. Great coaching.

I do think Beilein would have made an effective player out of Tschetter.

I digress. I gotta give credit to those last season who were calling for a new coach. They were spot on. I thought we did best we could losing Dickinson and then those transfers.  But they saw the descent despite the rest of it. Franz and Eli covered it and then Dickinson..    this is the worst hoops I've ever seen from a Michigan team.  And the heart surgery is a pretext to some. That's what assistants are for.

This is my first time watching the team in probably a month or more.  Same shit, different game.  There is 14:40 left in the second half and Michigan is down 16 points.  Awful defense, awful offense.  Why am I watching this?

One can now see all the nuances missing in our play...took awhile but Beiliens coaching influence is now completely gone..I didn't realize it but Juwan has been living off it.   If Warde doesn't move on, it will cost him his job.  And he was gonna hire Cooley, who would have been another bad hire.

On cue, we try to force it into the post to Reed for no reason. He immediately turns it over for a lay up the other way

We're down 20 for those just reading the comments. 6 minutes into the second half and we're -13

Just checked the score.

Can answer the OP's question: "No.  If Warde doesn't care about our Men's BB team, then neither do I" - which as a lifelong fan is a very hard thing to type.

Earlier in the telecast, they showed Burnett's 3 attempt being blocked, bragging about what a great play it was.  All I saw was Burnett's hand getting smacked but whatever.

With that being said, this team is horribly coached. We lost to Rutgers at home and now about to lose to Nebraska at home while getting swept by both after dominating both in our history.

A microcosm of Juwan's coaching.

In this era of 7th-year seniors, why is Burnett a senior? I mean, he’s not great, but he is a warm body. I would welcome him back next season.

Maybe it's just me, but if I'm the coach, it's senior day and it's a lost season, I'm starting Llewellyn and Selvala and Tray.  I don't care if Dug/Tschetter/Reed are "better", give your seniors the little thank you.

I feel so bad for these kids. Getting their asses beat game in and game out. A team construction of misfit toys, that is woefully under coached. Embarrassing lack of support and apathy. Sitting your best player and letting him stew on the bench is a sure sign he ain’t coming back. Warde could end this disaster but would rather sit on his ass. Something he does best.
