JJ was way less than optimal today.  Bad INT at end of half, threw behind CJ by 3 to 4 feet on an easy walk in TD with a better pass and he just seemed out of sorts before the ball was hiked causing us to be disjointed and call TO's.

I hope he's 100% healthy or close to it next week.

That was awful play calling  by Moore today, too damned predictable, throw some short passes to free up the run more.

But a win is a win, especially under the BS circumstances the team has had to deal with.

Or RT.  I don't understand why Brian said Karsen's lack of athleticism isn't an issue in PSU UFR because it was just one game.  That wasn't true.  This is the third game in a row he's had problems with athletic edges.  He had some of the same issues last year.  This is not a one-off problem, this is a trend.

Last week's play calling was a reaction to the defensive ends smoking our tackles. They couldn't even do a three step drop without getting JJ lit up.

This week... well, we definitely had a mismatch in a strong running offensive line against weak defensive ends. Seemed like running was the safest bet again. Also, JJ was just off target all game and making some questionable decisions.

Also, star receiver gets hit on the first play from scrimmage and knocked out with a concussion. That will really hamper your passing game.

The coaches and players thought the game was done when the score was 23-3. Credit to Maryland for fighting back. If Michigan didn’t fall asleep with the 20 point lead, this could have been a blowout. The offense didn’t wake back up after this and we’re lucky that Mike S. played the whole game. I think we’ll look better next week and hopefully Henderson is back.

We have multiple All american TE types no?  Can we pass to them without Roman? Apparently no.  I was told they are the same level as Georgia's tight ends?

We have a senior other WR.  Can we pass to him?

We have an electric freshman. We used him a few times to great effect - why stop?

Stop with the excuses

If one WR who is gone next year ends our offense then we are deep shit next year. Play calling was conservative and JJ is hearing footsteps probably watching Barnhart on film vs an actual functional DE vs guys who will be used car salesmen from Michigan State or Indiana in 2 years.

Maryland DEs wont be sniffing the NFL.  OSU, Georgia, Bama types will.  The OL is not going to get us to the promised land unfortunately.   Listened to the game on radio and Jansen was besides himself in a "kind" way discussing the OL.

Listened to the game on radio

If you watched it on TV you'd have seen that they were running a very basic playbook. JJ wasn't running with the ball, which is a key part of our offense

For example, we did try to pass to our other senior WR -- he was wide open for a TD and JJ missed him

The playcalling against PSU was understandable...Their pressure couldn't be stopped. Maryland was different and I thought the playcalling was brutal. I dont care if JJ is in rhythm or not, Cornelius Johnson was so wide open there was no excuse for how poorly thrown that pass was. Moore has coached 3 games now this season, and despite the wins JJ has looked bad in all 3. Maryland really could've picked him off a couple different times. Michigan's gonna have to make plays in the passing game, I would really be shocked if we were able to run all over OSU. I think not having Harbaugh on the sidelines definitely effects JJ.

Just win next week.  OSU seems a bit paper tigerish as are we.

Be real - Bama or Georgie will eat our lines up aside the defensive tackles.  I am even worried about our 2 guards but offensive line is a team game so if 1 guy fucks up it hurts all other guys so that's where we are at.

Even Oregon I have watched 6 games and their lines are better.  Thats worrying.

This is not a NC type of team but let's at least get to the playoffs.

OSUs defense is better I believe this year. However, their offense isn't quite as good with McCord. Traveyon Henderson could be the X factor. I felt better about this game a few weeks ago, I just don't know if Michigan can make enough plays in the passing game. The QB advantage goes to Michigan, but JJ doesn't have a Marvin Harrison to throw to. I don't see OSU defending us like they did last year. Idk I just think with no Harbaugh on the sidelines, JJ isn't at his best and he'll need to be to win

I’m of the belief now that the whole “Michigan is saving things” is all bs. We heard that for weeks with the B10 and NCAA investigation. “Ohh Michigan has the dirt, they’re going to drop it, and then we’ll show em.” Only to have nada.

Special game plan is going to be the same. Nothing new or special. Either the base stuff works or it doesn’t.
