We’re steadfast in our beliefs at least. No matter how much evidence there is to the contrary, we still think we’re going to Bo-ball our way to a championship.

I will never understand Michigan's historic unwillingness to adapt their game plan to what happens on the field. We ran outside once in the entire second half — once — and got 11 yards and a touchdown. Never again.

I accept that we're taking what they giving us. But they weren't giving us runs up the middle, and we obviously couldn't throw the ball. WTF? One jet sweep that works, no more, and no reverses, no RPOs, no pitches, no options.

Incredibly frustrating.

They have an arrogant culture that they're married to.  It's like the Bears how they hire defensive minded coaches and try to win with toughness and a good rushing attack and ball control. They haven't had a dynamics offense in their history.  Michigan tries to win by having more toughness and out efforting the other team.  They rarely try to be dynamic on offense.

It is a Michigan tradition.  All the way back to Bo, this is the Michigan way, unfortunately.

Turns out that by far the biggest exception to this is...Jim Harbaugh's OSU game plans.

Win or lose, JH was always brought a strong offensive game plan to the OSU games, even in years where the rest of the year he is guilty of the exact thing you flag--stubbornly refusing the adapt and adjust to what the opponent is doing on D.

Not great.   JJ obviously a little hobbled.   Lets hope LaDarius and Roman are back next week.

Blake (and Herbert) earned every inch of the 3rd and 4th down inches on the clinching first down.

Put it in the rear view mirror and get the hell out of there.

Moore cant do both....Campbell calls plays or someone else needs to be acting HC. The offense is in a rut that he can't get out of with to many responsibilities

Maybe he's injured, but that was a terrible game by McCarthy. Poor decisions, poor throws.

I also noticed recently: he has developed a bad habit of turning and watching run plays, instead of carrying out bootleg or run plays, which hurts both the running game and passes off the run.

JJ cannot throw away points when he has a wide open receiver behind the secondary next week.  He still has not mastered floating it for the WR to run under when he has created huge separation.  Johnson torched that DB the way he torched the OSU guy in the Game last year.

That did not look like "November" Maryland, if they had played like that all year they would be winning 9-10 games. But yes, offense was a huge disappointment especially in the 2nd half.

That's because we expect JJ by now to not make mistakes like the goal line interception...We expect him to hit a wide open Johnson on what wasnt even that deep of a throw. If Michigan is going to beat OSU, and actually win in the playoffs...JJ has to be playing his best ball. I don't think fans are making unreasonable complaints. He played poorly today, and has played poorly in the 3 games Moore was head coach.

I’m not surprised JJ didn’t play well. The coaches spent 2 halfs telling him they didn’t trust him and most of the fan base spent all week talking about how smart it was not tot trust him.

To me the playcalling in the second half of the Penn St game wasn't so much about JJ as it was about the oline's poor pass protection.  Barnhart showed today why that was the correct move against Penn St.

Barnhart's pass protection issues these last 2 weeks are extremely concerning heading into the OSU game and hopefully the Big Ten title game and the playoffs.

There are some concerns from last week and this week…

BUT…this team has the talent and next week, one game, is all that matters. They can do it.

11 & 0, 8 & 0.  Felt like team & JJ missed Harbaugh on sideline today.  Blake Corum was strong.  Bredeson makes great blocks in goal line situations.   Roman will hopefully be back next week.  On one missed big play where CJ wide open not sure if he looks back earlier he does not adjust and make the catch even though seemed like a bad pass.  JJ will be fine after he sees on film how he stared receiver on goal line pic. Michigan will have success next week passing and running.

wOOO!  A win is a win, but someone tweet at Sherrone to get some fucking trick plays in the bag for next week.  A half back pass.  A throwback screen to JJ.  A motherufkcin flea flicker for christ's sake.  Get fucking donovan 1on1 with LB, do fucking something motherfucking creative for motherfucking christ's sake.

We tried a flea-flicker. Got ... 8 yards.

I don't think it's about "trick plays." It's about play-actions, running the ball outside, and being able to throw the ball more than 15 yards downfield. For some reason Moore seems empowered only to run it up the middle or go to safe passes underneath or out wide. Nothing aggressive at all.

I mean the obvious thing is of the offense plays like that next week, they lose

But that was the case last year when they scraped by Illinois. And we saw what happened the next week.

Im not overly worried, so long as we get Henderson and Wilson back next week. I’d be shocked if JJ turns in another bad performance.

Beat Ohio. Please.

It was pretty, and then it was ugly, and then it was over.  1,000 wins so who cares about style points?  The end zone interception was a turning point, and hopefully that was a good reminder for JJ to keep the ball high in the end zone.

Bring on the Buckeyes!

At the game today. The sequencing on play calls was pretty bad and formation and the motion to an inline blocker was a huge tell.
moore called 1 true PA all game. Yes, JJ didn’t make a good throw but CJ could have caught it. They passed on 2nd and 3. Ran on 3rd and 10. It wasn’t good.
moore is struggling. Campbell called about 9 PA in his one game as OC. I really hope Michigan adapts

Worst play calling seen in awhile. You are allowed to throw on 1st and 2nd downs. Corum is a running back and of course he wants the ball every play and thinks he can score every time he gets the ball (that’s a good thing), but if it’s not working then for Gods sake try something else.

Defense bailed them out big time today. Hopefully all these saved pass plays will be utilized next week.

win is a win. Having a close game also can help with focus for the next game so that’s good.

Since ... last week. People forget the only touchdown we scored in the entire second half last week came when we got the ball on PSU's 30. Despite the prevailing wisdom, we really struggled on the ground last week too. Penn State's offense was just even worse than ours.

But screw it. Get the win, get back to Ann Arbor. Win and advance!
