Dante Moore down to 4 teams?
December 4th, 2023 at 2:54 PM ^
Lol, which one of these are not like the others?
December 4th, 2023 at 3:06 PM ^
Michigan.
They are the only one that is the No. 1 TEAM IN THE COUNTRY!!!
December 4th, 2023 at 3:07 PM ^
Not what I was alluding to but well played…well played.
December 4th, 2023 at 3:15 PM ^
Miami, the rest are good teams.
December 4th, 2023 at 3:25 PM ^
They must make one hell of a cheeseburger down in Miami.
December 4th, 2023 at 3:51 PM ^
That’d be Cubano sandwich, my dude.
December 4th, 2023 at 4:02 PM ^
Well, Miami does throw around a LOT of cheddar.
December 4th, 2023 at 4:47 PM ^
C'mon now. We all know Harbaugh serves the BEST cheeseburgers. They are so good, rumor has it that they are illegal.
December 4th, 2023 at 4:20 PM ^
It's Miami, the rest play in front of people.
December 4th, 2023 at 4:34 PM ^
So on if true, Dante is still chasing the bag, not looking for development. Way to grow and learn from what you've just went through. Geesh; pass.
December 4th, 2023 at 5:43 PM ^
Yeah if it’s going to another dramatic recruitment I’d prefer to pass. Like he knows what we’re about so either he wants to be here or he wants some more money nothing wrong with that but the drama has to go.
December 4th, 2023 at 5:51 PM ^
Yep, a turnoff to see Miami on Trieu's list, if true. If he just wants to bounce around for the bag, no thanks. If he's serious about competing for a spot and earning his NIL, then come on down.
December 5th, 2023 at 8:34 AM ^
YTM, NTTAWWT.
December 4th, 2023 at 2:54 PM ^
If he's mature enough to compete for the job, he comes here.
If he's chasing the bag, he wont.
Simple as that.
December 4th, 2023 at 2:58 PM ^
If he wants to play immediately, it could come down to whether JJ returns or not.
December 4th, 2023 at 3:02 PM ^
He chased the bag the first time right? Doubt he goes blue without knowing whether or not McCarthy is staying.
December 4th, 2023 at 3:11 PM ^
He said he is more interested in being developed than he is about playing immediately. If that's the case, then JJ's decision wouldn't matter.
December 4th, 2023 at 4:36 PM ^
Think long term and this is the correct answer.
December 4th, 2023 at 3:35 PM ^
And how do you know this? Could have been a shot to start as a Freshman for a decent team. A team that was also without a computer hacker as a QB coach.
December 4th, 2023 at 3:39 PM ^
He already has one bag
How many bags does one man need?
Wonder what the primary UCLA bag giver is thinking right now. A lot of these people just have to be burning that they give these guys a mil and they walk after a year. I know some have unending wealth in their pockets but it still has to burn especially those who actually had to earn money vs inheriting it.
December 4th, 2023 at 6:08 PM ^
This seems like a false dichotomy.
December 4th, 2023 at 2:55 PM ^
His recruitment as a transfer isn't as significant as it was as a h.s. player.
December 4th, 2023 at 2:59 PM ^
Very much would like him at Michigan. Sure, he had some struggles this year at UCLA but I saw him play a few times and the talent is undeniable. More talent in the QB room is not a bad thing.
December 4th, 2023 at 3:21 PM ^
Plus, better coaching here than UCLA
December 4th, 2023 at 3:00 PM ^
I'm not gonna say I don't want, but I'd be ok not to have.
December 4th, 2023 at 3:15 PM ^
I'll say it. I don't want.
December 4th, 2023 at 3:32 PM ^
The team culture on Michigan is the key to their success and it is a very delicate balance, It can easily be destroyed by one player in the key position of quarterback. Of course I don't know him but I can only judge him by his public actions and those actions/decisions do not give me good feeling about how he would fit in to the team (the team, the team) culture.
December 4th, 2023 at 3:42 PM ^
See: Ray Voodoo Tatum, Dillon Panthers
December 4th, 2023 at 3:49 PM ^
Which actions exactly? Some throw stuff like this around mixed with 'bag' comments without actually stating what truly happened. Did he simply choose the highest bidder? UM had a lousy QB coach..that seems pretty clear based on a lot of insider-ish comments as well as comments from recruits families. So, that alone could have pushed UM back behind other programs.
December 4th, 2023 at 4:35 PM ^
Exactly
December 4th, 2023 at 3:00 PM ^
Don't go Florida State kid. They will never get into the Playoff.
December 4th, 2023 at 3:09 PM ^
....and you may break a 🦵🏽.
December 4th, 2023 at 3:14 PM ^
too soon!
December 4th, 2023 at 3:01 PM ^
Why not go to Iowa and become a legend? The bar is so low.
December 4th, 2023 at 3:51 PM ^
Have they announced who the new OC will be?
December 4th, 2023 at 5:09 PM ^
Leaving the position empty would be an upgrade
December 4th, 2023 at 3:01 PM ^
The other three drop bags tho.
December 4th, 2023 at 3:04 PM ^
"as a starting point" doesn't sound like he's down to four. Reads like these are the four pursuing him most heavily right now.
December 4th, 2023 at 3:48 PM ^
Absolutely. "Starting point" is the opposite of "down to X number of teams."
December 4th, 2023 at 3:05 PM ^
I wouldn't be shocked to see Oregon since he was there initially, but would their staff welcome him? I did see they lost a QB commitment for their 2024 class, so maybe he's going there. But it sure would be nice if he came to Michigan. Would feel a lot better about next year if he did.
If he goes to Miami, then he is not serious about being developed.
December 4th, 2023 at 3:35 PM ^
Jj should come back. He'll be probably #1 qb next year. This year you have Williams, penix, maye, and nix.
December 4th, 2023 at 3:46 PM ^
Honestly, not hating on JJ, but I have to believe his stock has fallen considerably since the MSU game. He could light it up in the Playoff but I really don't think going pro is really in the cards right now. At least not in the comfortable rounds.
December 5th, 2023 at 9:16 AM ^
This seems to be the conventional wisdom. JJ should come back and be the #1 QB in next year's draft. I personally find it hard to believe that his draft stock would rise higher next year if Michigan wins the natty this year, but I'm not an NFL draft guy.
Deep in the heart of Texas, the Ewers camp was already making noises about Ewers coming back--possibly to give Arch Manning something to think about. Maybe JJ's camp ends up doing something similar.
Bottom line on Dante Moore--on one hand, never say no to talent. On the other--I strongly agree with the notion that Michigan has identified a certain personality type that fits the Michigan culture regardless of the number of stars recruiting sites put next to the name. At this point, if Moore wants to come to Michigan, I'm in "show me" mode.
December 4th, 2023 at 3:05 PM ^
I bet he goes back to Oregon where it originally rained for him.
And remember, his dad has a tatt of Michigan peeing on Ohio state
December 4th, 2023 at 3:06 PM ^
Does not fit the culture.
Do not want.
December 4th, 2023 at 3:08 PM ^
Why don't you let the coaches make that determination?
December 4th, 2023 at 3:10 PM ^
I agree BUT I trust our coaching staff completely so if they want him consider me on board
December 4th, 2023 at 3:12 PM ^
Why? because he wanted immediate playing time or to be paid? Eyabi Okie had more redflags than Moore and we gave him a chance.
People are not static. I trust the coaches to decide who is a fit, not internet bro who has (probably) never met the kid.
