Ohio State and MSU’s debate…

Ohio State and MSU’s debate teams have assured this title will be vacated.

Are they holding tryouts?

Are they holding tryouts?

Leipold defense gave out a…

Leipold defense gave out a boatload of points to UNLV, not interesting in going back to RR 2.0 of semi-decent offense and crap defense.

We're screwed. Back into…

We're screwed. Back into obscurity we go. Did we even get a month to savor the championship before we were faced with knowing we're going to suck? Can't have nice things in Ann Arbor.

Jordan Strack is a Toledo…

Jordan Strack is a Toledo based journalist. Not a big name journalist and is more of a local guy from what I remember, but very much NOT a clickbait yellow journalist type. Last time we heard from him it was to refute narratives Matt Campbell would never take the Michigan job.

Don't think he has tons of Michigan connections like a Webb but he could do some digging since he's in the area and probably has at least a contact or two in Ann Arbor that knows the pulse of the program.

The whole point of hiring…

The whole point of hiring Moore was to continue the system and the culture. Now, we knew we were going to lose Minter and Jay; but Herbert was a gut punch and we could wind up losing our defensive line coach and our defensive backs coach. Clink and Elston aren't easy to replace, especially for a first year coach with few contacts. That's how you end up getting second and third rate position coaches like Hoke did and wind up getting the brakes beat off you.

But hey, if denial makes you feel better inside, be my guest. Maybe we can hang our hat on this three year streak the next two decades like we did the last time we won a national championship before falling back into obscurity.

Fans and the players also…

Fans and the players also have the right to be outraged that he would kneecap the successor who can’t find suitable replacements, setting the program back.

Hope we all like the dark years of Hoke level football again between Warde and Harbaugh finding ways to screw us over.

Would say this is a Urban…

Would say this is a Urban level move but even he didn’t do this…

As a Lions fan and a…

As a Lions fan and a Michigan fan, this would suck twice as much.

This is big, Newsome is a…

This is big, Newsome is a rising star and should fill in nicely in Moore's old OL coaching spot. Between him and Moore, we should have some kick butt offensive lines.

Now to make sure the poachers don't steal the rest of our staff or our players...lets make things as stable as possible.

Not to mention Webb is…

Not to mention Webb is talking about losing Elston, Hart, Clink, Campbell, and Newsome with Elston, Campbell, and Newsome all potentially being taken by Jim. Doesn't look good for our program.

Moore was convinced Herbert…

Moore was convinced Herbert was returning.

Minter and Jay were obvious…

Minter and Jay were obvious takes, but taking Herbert was not something necessary. Not to mention Webb is now saying that Kirk Campbell, Newsome, and Elston are coaches Jim is targeting. He'll also have to replace Hart and Clink according to Webb.

Taking Minter and Jay is expected, but potentially plundering the entire cabinet and leaving Moore who has less contacts scrambling to find guys to replace them. That's some bull right there. The whole reason to hire Moore was to keep the structure in place.

And has proceeded to kneecap…

And has proceeded to kneecap said successor and plans on plundering all the assistants around him. HC in waiting is useless if he has no support and no assistants to keep anything in place. Good luck as a first year coach trying to find guys to replace all the turnover we're going to have.

Bo would strangle him. That…

Bo would strangle him. That's all I have to say about that.

Flirting with the NFL over…

Flirting with the NFL over the past three seasons instead of capitalizing on the momentum isn't helping the program. Potentially swiping all the assistants and leaving your successor scrambling to try to overhaul the team isn't helping either.

Sherrone doesn't have as…

Sherrone doesn't have as many connections as Jim. If the rumors of most of the staff being poached is true and Jim is kneecapping the Michigan program by poaching most of the coaches, I hope he gets the Lions special of 0-16 or worse. Having to replace that many coaches is insane and conveniently just as OSU is assembling an NIL wrecking ball down in Columbus.

Sheer agony. First the Lions…

Sheer agony. First the Lions choke and now Herbert is leaving.

Also better win with the cruddy Chargers, Jim, kneecapping Moore and causing what might have been the best collection of Michigan coaches in the modern era to scatter to the winds isn't exactly helpful to your program.

We’ll get the NCAA involved…

We’ll get the NCAA involved looking at competitive imbalance and they’ll suspend someone, lol.

Freeman has literally taken…

Freeman has literally taken over where Brian Kelly left off. Also his QB room sucks.

I was lukewarm at first…

I was lukewarm at first because it’s hard to know what you’re getting but OSU gave Day an audition based on three games in 2018 that had way less stakes than what Sherrone dealt with.

The weight of the world was on Moore’s shoulders. I know we can say it was Harbaugh’s team but Moore had to go through a Big Ten gauntlet of PSU, upset minded Maryland, and OSU.

He basically gets told on the plane he’s the guy going into a hostile Happy Valley and has to try to keep the team focused on game day all while knowing a single loss means the season is done. Does anyone realize how much pressure the guy was under? Then JJ gets hurt and he has to manage playcalling revolving around an injured QB.

Dude is amazing. I’m very optimistic about Sherrone. Great recruiter, will keep the culture, and he’s Harbaugh’s handpicked successor.

Will he sit in silence…

Will he sit in silence across from a WR prospect for two minutes while he's on a recruiting visit? I mean, don't get me wrong I love Jim Harbaugh's intensity and what he did for the program but he could be weird at times. This is the dude that told a recruit he was weird but it grows on you. We loved his quirks because he's a beloved alum but we'd absolutely skewer the heck out of him if he was a Buckeye. His quirkiness is a turn off for many recruits.

Moore, from all reports, is the warmer, more personable of the two. Might help on the recruiting trail. He seems to "get" players more. We'll see.

Not plugged in? You…

Not plugged in? You considering Chargers too?

OSU isn’t a good example?

OSU isn’t a good example?

OSU won a national championship in 2014, their head coach got suspended multiple games in 2018 to which their OC took over and went 3-0, when Urban retired the reigns were handed to Day who for as much as we laugh at him is pretty dang good.

Michigan won a national championship, our head coach got suspended, our OC took over in Jim’s absence, Moore went 4-0 against a harder stretch of opponents with all the pressure in the world on him.

Also Notre Dame is 10-3 with a guy in his second full year and they recruit better than us. Also they would have beaten OSU who only lost by six to us, if they put enough guys on the field they probably beat OSU.

Why can’t Newsome handle OL…

Why can’t Newsome handle OL with help from Moore?

What we really need is a trustworthy passing game OC. Campbell could be that but he doesn’t have much experience there.

Now our stomach is sick and…

Now our stomachs are sick and it's all in our heads but Jim's getting on a jet to LA now. Boards are getting stressed now. Please don't go!

And we just can't look it's killing us...and taking control.

Going to a crappy Chargers team, crushing dreams of UM dynasty. Headed to LA next, gonna coach up Herbert next.

Guess this is just the price we pay, for that natty the other day. Guess we roll with that Sherrone Moore guy.

Can we find a bright side?

Oh crap, Herbert is gone?…

Oh crap, Herbert is gone? Now I'm worried.

Please nuke this thread.

Please nuke this thread.

Here’s what I propose:

Here’s what I propose:

First thing I do is try to keep Herbert around. Second thing I do is call Brian Griese and offer him the OC job. I entrust Elston and Clinkscale with the DC or try to call John and ask who’s the upcoming rental DC they want developed.

Could Will Howard leave if…

Could Will Howard leave if the Buckeyes get Sayin?

Howard seems more like a Michigan game manager QB. Furthermore would Underwood flip if LSU got Sayin?

This national championship…

This national championship just means more. Enjoy this. It feels a bit like The Last Season – a film about the Norway High School Baseball team in Iowa.

The legendary baseball program of Norway High School won twenty state titles in baseball but a school merger threatened the future of the program and school and to ensure the merger happened, the administration tried to torpedo the baseball program by letting go of their legendary coach and putting someone inferior in at coach. The team rallies around the adversity to win one last championship before the merger is pushed through, dissolving the legendary program forever.

I don’t think we’ll see something that drastic with Michigan and college football but it definitely won’t be anywhere near the same. We may have just watched the last season of college football before it becomes NFL-lite. Savor it ladies and gents. The Game, championships, this style of team chemistry – might not see something like this again.

Walker, you were our chosen…

Walker, you were our chosen one at CB! You were supposed to help destroy the SEC not join it!

We have a basketball team?!

We have a basketball team?!

I too would love to give up…

I too would love to give up 36 points to UNLV with LL at the helm.

Only we could squander three…

Only we could squander three years of what should be peak recruiting momentum and a national championship to start this crap. Any chance we can just roll with Minter or Moore? I like Jim and appreciate everything he has done but he's making it insanely obvious he doesn't want to be here. And Warde violating any trust between them with the cheeseburger suspension didn't help.

Going to miss him. I could…

Going to miss him. I could call his next INT or fumble on the spot when watching the games with friends and family.

We’re a football school and…

We’re a football school and our basketball program sucks.

I’ve watched a lot of…

I’ve watched a lot of Denegal tape, better than Orji nothing special though. I suppose he could do Cade type stuff and is more mobile.

I can literally predict when…

I can literally predict when he’s going to throw an INT or fumble every drive. He’s a turnover machine, don’t get this take.

I would love to see him give…

I would love to see him give Day and the OSU fans PTSD in Columbus.

Harbaugh comes back and…

Harbaugh comes back and decides to innovate he’ll go further back in time and run Bo’s Wishbone offense with Orji.

Orji’s mechanics are awful…

Orji’s mechanics are awful. Denegal might be the guy until Davis is ready? Unless they go Leake/Tebow with Davis and Orji.

Why would he come here?…

Why would he come here? Southern players don’t transfer north and Alabama credits wouldn’t take at UM.

27-1, National Champion,…

27-1, National Champion, three time Buckeye destroyer! I’m good with him leaving but wouldn’t be sad if he returns either. He did what he set out to do and maybe after a great NFL career he comes back ie Jim Harbaugh to win a national championship as a coach, lol.

In the Koine Greek, it can…

In the Koine Greek, it can mean several things. Eros is a passionate and romantic context, philia means friendship, and agape is self sacrificing love.

This is why you don't jump…

This is why you don't jump at the first job open on the market.

Whoops, yeah, wrong guy, lol.

Whoops, yeah, wrong guy, lol.

Hot take after watching tape…

Hot take after watching tape of Denegal, he's the starter next year and probably is better than any lower tier transfer.

He's got good size and can probably at least play up to Cade's level and he's more mobile than Cade. Probably good enough as a bridge QB to let Davis learn and prepare.

I like it, transformational…

I like it, transformational rather than transactional!

Gonna bet they saw the…

Gonna bet they saw the YouTube video hyping his athletic ability and think he’s the next Milroe.
