Are you sure that's Trouba?…

Are you sure that's Trouba? Looks like a freakin heat seeking missile.

Minnesocold? Sick burn!

Minnesocold?

Sick burn!

True, but doesn't make it…

True, but doesn't make it right.

I'm referring specifically…

I'm referring specifically to the restraining order that Michigan threatened to file against the B1G and never followed through on. The conference clearly misapplied their own rule (based on how it's been used historically) and imposed a premature penalty that proceeded an incomplete NCAA investigation. It was also done so in a deliberate manner to maximize damage to the Michigan Football program by announcing the suspension a couple of hours ahead of a huge game at PSU.

Warde should have been leading the charge to support Harbaugh in the media and in the courtroom.

It’s from the Godfather.

It’s from the Godfather.

As he said, little to…

As he said, little to nothing. He should have been ready and willing to go to the matresses as other programs have with the NCAA regarding the Satlions shit storm.

It's mind numbing that…

It's mind numbing that administrators like Manuel want to assert control over true leaders like Harbaugh instead of getting the fuck out of the way and creating an environment that helps them thrive.

It's hard to watch something…

It's hard to watch something you love get the shit beat out of it.

I saw a couple of Mariners…

I saw a couple of Mariners games (Griffey!) and a Seahawks game (Kennedy!) there before they imploded it and you aren't lying...it was a concrete cave that couldn't keep it's ceiling tiles in place.

Probably one for each team…

Probably one for each team that interviewed them.

The same Athletic that was…

The same Athletic that was warming up the pitchforks and lighting the torches on every aspect of the Stalions story?

The only call @jjmccarthy09…

Let's go man!

So you're telling me there's a chance...

I wouldn't disagree with…

I wouldn't disagree with this sentiment. I'm not convinced Lalonde is head coach material.

One of the knocks I heard was that Lalonde is constantly mixing his lines. The top teams in the east do little to none of that because it undermines chemistry development.

The thing I heard mention…

The thing I heard mention many times, by guys who played QB at both levels, is that it's much harder to be a passer in a run heavy offense because you aren't often afforded the chance to get in a rhythm, making what JJ did even more impressive.

So stupid that the first…

So stupid that the first tiebreaker is regulation wins and not head to heads. No that it would help against the Caps but still...

I really want to believe…

I really want to believe this but the Flyers have been in a downward spiral for a while now. They have been better as of late so hopefully that trend continues tonight.

The Wings have to play with more energy tonight then they did the first two periods last night. We need some better goalie play as well.

Hell of a mid air grab by…

Hell of a mid air grab by Gost!

If he doesn't intercept that clear attempt they probably don't tie that game.

While I agree that leaving…

While I agree that leaving your doors open is a good policy I find it hard to believe that this coaching staff would tell a player to go get good somewhere else and maybe we'll bring you back.

While it's likely OSW doesn…

While it's likely OSW doesn't have insider info, the fact that NHG is back on campus would seem to suggest the coaching staff probably didn't advise him to leave.

Not so sure 88 is gonna do…

Not so sure 88 is gonna do it. They may need more like 90-92.

A little concerned that 3 of…

A little concerned that 3 of our last 5 games for the Wings are on the road, with 2 of them being against the Pens and the Leafs. The other is the Habs.

The Pens have 3 of their last 4 at home (Wings, B's, Preds and Isles).

The Isles have 3 of their last 5 at home (Rangers, Habs, Rangers, Devils, Pens)

The Caps won't matter since they're gonna lose tonight and be out of it.

The Sabers are pretty much already done.

At 4-2 tiebreakers are more…

At 4-2 tiebreakers are more likely to come into play and could make things messy where they might need help. The Wings own the tie breaker with the Islanders but have split so far with the Pens, Caps and Sabers.

Precisely, go 5-1 in the…

Precisely, go 5-1 in the next 6 games and you're most likely in. They just can't drop any of those next 3 games. The Islanders and the Caps have pretty tough remaining schedules with 5 of the last 6 games being against teams either in the playoffs or in the hunt.

It's all up to the players.

I was including last nights…

I was including last nights game. That was a game I expected to be a loss in my 5-2 scenario. The other loss I'm expecting is Toronto on the road. The rest are winnable games and have to be or they're done. I don't think 4 more wins is enough.

If they are done I expect Lalonde won't be coaching in Detroit much longer.

They need to go a minimum of…

They need to go a minimum of 5-2 but I'd prefer 6-1.

...Depends.

...also SUCK it OSU who's currently #2 on the list at 14...

You're right the Vikings…

You're right the Vikings have the 11th pick and the chart shows JJ going as high as 10 but projected to go to Minnesota at #11.

https://www.nflmockdraftdatabase.com/big-boards/2024/consensus-big-board-2024

Yes it's all speculation but there may be some truth in the aggregate. Big boards, like the one I linked, are comprised of 128 other big boards and 972 mock drafts and has JJ going 10th to Minnesota.

This take might have gotten…

This take might have gotten me concerned as it seems like a logical argument. Especially in light of the rumor that Calipari had interest.

However, the fact that Beilein was involved helps overcome these concerns. I doubt John is going to campaign on Michigan's behalf for someone he doesn't feel is worthy.

Fuck the Athletic!

Fuck the Athletic!

Perhaps the Henson stuff was…

Perhaps the Henson stuff was irritating for Tom while he was in Ann Arbor, which makes sense,  but I think it was a key part in driving him to push himself throughout his career. He's constantly felt he had to prove himself with the Bledsoe situation or Garropolo, Deflategate, etc.

While I appreciate that…

While I appreciate that Warde didn't make the dumb decision to keep Howard on, the decision to fire him was really the only decision to be made for the good of the program.

Should he be applauded for it?

I knew that, you knew that,…

I knew that, you knew that, they didn't know that. An ankle injury prevented him from planting his foot and throwing normally, not to mention the effectiveness of the PSU pass rush, made running the ball much more attractive. In the Maryland game, the following week, he was still dealing with the ankle injury.

People just want to look at passing yards and rushing yards to judge QB play. Even when you point out they played in a system that didn't require that, they don't care.

I do too that's why I was…

I do too that's why I was arguing with those clowns. They'd be lucky to have him and yet they have no clue.

Some idiot who thinks he…

Some idiot who thinks he knows something about football. :-O

Many Seahawks fans think he…

Many Seahawks fans think he won't even get picked on day two. Incredible. Let alone make sense when they pick at #16. "He didn't even throw for 3000 yards!" Yeah because he didn't need to. "Well he sucked in the PSU and Maryland games!" Yeah because he was hurt. "If the Seahawks draft him I'm gonna be mad!" "Penix, Penix, Penix!" OMFG kill me now.

A glorious thing of beauty!!!

A glorious thing of beauty!!!

Nice...

Nice...

As much as he did for the…

As much as he did for the Seahawks during their Super Bowl runs, in the years since his quickness has left him. As many Seahawks fans will tell you, it was nice while it lasted but once he couldn't Tarkenton as consistently to buy time, it was all downhill. It didn't help that Seattle's OLine has not been good for most of his years there either, forcing him to run for his life more than perhaps he should have.

Good luck RW3!

Yeah the OP comparison to…

Yeah the OP comparison to 2020 football is off. We're not living in a pandemic world where any symptoms give rise to quarantines and contact tracing quarantines. This year for Michigan Basketball is much worse than 2020 Football as there are no external circumstances to blame.

I hope this is the final nail in Howard's tenure. It was a gamble that looked like a good one at the time that has gone horribly wrong. Time to move on.

There are a lot of people,…

There are a lot of people, and I mean a lot, who think JJ is not good. Merely because he doesn't have Penix numbers. People can't comprehend that JJ can be good and still not put up huge numbers because his team had a 60/40 run/pass mix and didn't need him to throw for 4900 yards.

The idea that someone one can't do something just because the didn't need to is an amazing logic failure.

Here's a fair write up:
