This couldn't have been better stated. Unfortunately, being on the west coast, I usually have to listen to the games (or at least the first half) at work, and Shep always carried me through. My first thought when he got called up to the Tigers was "but, could he still do hoops???".
Thanks for this tribute. It was well deserved and has got me wishing basketball could get here sooner.
The optimist in me says that he and his family saw what was going on and were too appalled to trust his education and future with such an shameless institution.
Though, my pessimistic side thinks it's OSU "cooling" on him to go after some 5 star.
Ha! thanks. But, no I'm just a fan of the company. As a Vet myself I appreciate the gesture and like it all the more knowing that it was started by Michigan grad.
And if I'm going to pitch anything here or on Shark Tank, it would be more akin to the "Squatty Potty"..
I think it really depends on the effects rising inflation pressures have on the overall value and size of the bags being delivered to recruits.
Obviously, they need to get bigger bags. Saban is aware of the problem and is already working to correct the issue and get Bama back on top of the recruiting rankings in short order.
Though, I always have appreciated Zidane's approach as a player and now more specifically successfully managing a team of superstars and egos.
Unfortunately for me, he has done an amazing job at Real and the fact that there were rumblings of a "hot seat" for him this year seems nuts to me. That is a tough fanbase to please.
Especially considering his predecesors. The problem has been talent identification and contract management. I would love for Gores to go after a GM like Kevin Pritchard. It would probably take some money, but his work with the Pacers has set that team up for great success going forward.
I had a lady friend up from Toledo who was a buckeye (...I was young and ignorant). Even splurged for her ticket. We had been so dominant up to that point, and I was so confident of the outcome.
Needless to say, it was a pretty quick trip taking her back to Toledo that day.
His combination of short yardage prowess with blocking ability and his hands are really usefull in short yardage situations. He could be a great relief valve for Russel Wilson.
It's been a while since I've been in a Sam's. But if I recall, I think they suffer a bit from being owned by Walmart. Costco's management focuses exclusively on the bulk play and they seem to do it well.
Though, a little too well on Free Sample Saturday. People don't joke about those free samples... The last time I went on a Saturday, I had to weave me and the kids through a train of impatient blue hairs waiting for microwaved taquitos just to get to the milk. Never again..
As for drink, I'm not quite there yet, but speaking of Costco; their Anejo Tequila is not half bad for the price. I think I'll start with that tonight.
It's about the formation of the National Parks. It was really interesting to discover all the challenges that were overcome to establish the National Parks system and some of the individual parks themselves.
I also loved even more his Jazz documentary miniseries. But I'm really into jazz, so that might not be for everybody.
It is a really good Sci-Fi with alternate or futuristice realities based on mostly not far off technology capabilities. Each episode is different with a few threads that continue through the series. It is a bit of a mindfuck, but it's super engrossing and offers interesting perspectives on human nature and the unexpected consequences of new technologies.
I remember his first game against State at Breslin. We were so decimated with injuries at the time that I didn't have that high of expectations. But he went right at State from the start and was on fire, causing a lot of problems for them. Unfortunately, he picked up the dreaded second first half foul and everything pretty much went south from there.
But nevertheless, it was a great performance for him to come in and do that at State in his first year. Sucked that we lost the game at the time, but it justly boded well for his and the team's future.

At least now he has a scapegoat for any losses this season.
Man, I love watching the improvement in Eli Brooks' game. He's a totally different player this year.
The Detroit Tigers called.
In honor of Shep, "the OP wears a crown!"

The favorable calls going our way in the Game this year.
But it's in Columbus, so...
All he only wanted was a free sandwich from Zingerman's.
Can't say I blame him.

Oh man, you have to wonder if there's any portion of Buckeye Twitter that deep down is thinking:
"Damn, Urban. It's getting harder and harder to blindly follow you into this shit storm..."
I'm not saying that any would change their tune, or even stop making such BS comments. I'm just wondering if there's any introspection at all.

Thanks. Still not used to posting with version 3.0.
Got any pictures of Bradley Cooper without a shirt on?

This is how I see it going down.
The Board: Getting pretty hot under these lights, eh Urban?
Urban: No, I'm pretty comfortable.

Interesting timing...
The cynic in me is wondering if he did it today to take away attention from Mbappe and his burgeoning Ballon d Or consideration..

It never gets old. The shot and the instantaneous eruption of pure joy is just so awesome.
I'm sure Padres and Mariners fans would love that change. It's been a while since they were in the post season.

I'll take the over on Brian Kelly turning purple on that day.
I just want to see improvement on the offensive line.

Or, there's always 10 hours of Die Hard...
Only got a bachelor's though. But had a lot of fun getting it.

I'm still sending out apology letters to those in my section.
Those early September games when the sun was unrelenting often had me feeling by the end, well like this:
