I wonder if a lawyer or the OSU PR department wrote that for him after virtually every national football writer ripped him for his petulant performance at the press conference.  What a joke.

I am actually starting to wonder about that.  His behavior has been bizarre.  From media days forward.  He looked genuinely befuddles at the press conference.  He had to have reporters repeat themselves many times and just looked as though he was not in full possession of the what/where/when/why.  I am not proposing this to let him off the hook for anything, but in the here and now, one questions if his mind is slipping on him.  Regardless of how you feel about Meyer, he has always been “sharp.”  He is certainly not that now.

It is labeled "Media Relations" at the bottom.  He didn't put it out personally like he did with his first message.  A media relations person put it out and likely assisted with it and even initiated it.  He gets no credit, because the message is still BS.  He covered it up for years yet he is still pushing the no tolerance claim.

So are OSU fans going to stop attacking Courtney’s character since Meyer has apologized to her and admitted she has had shit happen to her?

I imagine they’ll spin it that Meyer is sorry she has to deal with a philandering husband and say his statement had nothing to do with the abuse she suffered at the hands of Zach.

It took him 48 hours to come up with it.

And its still hogwash.  “I was taught at a very young age that if I ever hit a woman I would be kicked out of the house & never welcomed back.  I have the same rule at my house & in the football program at Ohio State.”

So Courtney Smith isn’t a woman?

After saying that, he should man up and fucking resign. No one believes this statement. If he did, he would resign. Clearly he didn’t abide by what he says he believes and was taught. That asshole just keeps digging a deeper hole. Fuck him and those inbred fans who support this piece of shit. This is a PERFECT example of putting winning ahead of morals, ethics, and integrity.

Awesome, and extremely relevant quote.  Another one of my favorites, "Character is like a tree and reputation like a shadow.  The shadow is what we think of it; the tree is the real thing" ~Honest Abe Lincoln.

Urban errrr... tosu PR department is sure trying hard to build up Urban's shadow. Unfortunately, everybody already saw that his character wasn't a tree at all, it was in fact, a cooler with someone pooping in it. Urban's character is nothing but a crap in a cooler.

I mean this in the most serious way possible.

Take that insincere, flaccid apology and shove it up your ass Meyer.

What a pathetic and cowardly way to try and walk back that joke of a press conference.

Urban Meyer is every head coach from those 90s movies like Blue chips etc wrapped into one. The dude is an awful human being who is worshipped by lemmings. He is so fake.

I just assumed his memory issues prevented him from remembering the question when asked specifically about what he had to say about Courtney.
