No you can’t. Harbaugh is the only man capable of coaching at Michigan and therefore no one else in the world could ever win 9 games at Michigan because harbaugh is the greatest 9 win coach in the history of forever. When Bo said there’s no man more important than the team you missed the fine print that says “except harbaugh” WERE A FUCKING JOKE! Thank god for Juwan Howard!!

Can we get Herman and Gattis as Co Offensive coordinators? Give Herman the QB's aswell and Gattis the WRs.

Yes i know this will never happen...Wouldn't be surprised if he went to boise state, or if Fickel moves on to a bigger gig he ends up there

No, I don’t think competent athletic directors announce they’re bringing a guy back, then fire him a few weeks later following a bowl game blowout win, then bring in a guy who was noted for being drunk on the job at his previous two head coaching stops with a poor record at two good programs...

How is that any better than Michigan/Harbaugh simply waiting until the NFL jobs become available?

This situation has the Texas boosters written all over it. Not sure how it played out, but why now? Some group, and I doubt it was the Texas AD, decided Sark was the guy (why and for what reason) and was going to move the necessary mountains to make it happen in the last 2 weeks or so.

The hire might end up working out, although I doubt OU is worried. But the process is complete shit yet again which is why the flagship school of the most football mad state in the country has won as many national titles as Sarkisian's alma mater in the last 50 years.

Whether or not Herman deserved to be fired might be debatable, but replacing a guy who's 54-22 with a 5-0 record in bowl games with a guy who's 46-35 with a 2-2 record in bowl games isn't an upgrade.

I’d l  oh me to see him somehow get in at Michigan as OC with AHC titles and other stuff if it were ever possible.

Unlike Charlie Strong, Texas high school coaches really liked Tom Herman. That would be a solid path into TX recruiting.

Remember when Texas put out that statement saying Tom Herman would be their coach for 2021? Yeah, apparently no one read the part inside the parentheses that sat between "for" and "2021", which said "the first 36 hours of".

Texas Coach A:

22-4 record prior to TX; Four year TX record of 32-18 (7-6; 10-4; 8-5; 7-3)

Texas Coach B:

17-13 record prior to TX; First four years at TX record of 29-12-2 (6-4-1; 7-3; 9-2; 7-3-1)

Texas fans are thankful that Coach B wasn't fired after his fourth season in Austin.

Bad news (I hope) for OU and OSU, as I suspect that Sark will be able to sell “new coach hope” and flip or recruit a couple 4 or 5 stars back to Texas next year.

Whether he’ll be successful or not, who knows, but prob a coaching change at Texas and resurgent A&M best hope that stopping the incredible Texas recruiting that OSU has done recently.

Looks like they’re hiring Sarkisian. Not sure what they expect him to accomplish there that he couldn’t at USC. The only difference is that this time around he’s (allegedly) not a drunk. In other words, I’m not sure what he’ll be able to do that Herman hasn’t. He doesn’t strike me as guy who can beat Lincoln Riley on a consistent basis and make the CFP.

Anyone can look good as an OC at Alabama these days, with the highly superior talent advantage they have over everyone they play.

I think this is either a brave or questionable move for Steve Sarkisian. There is hardly a place hotter than Texas. Talk about a pressure cooker! It's worse than UM in terms of crazy meddling boosters and a fan base expecting National Championships.

He has an uphill battle to turn recruiting around.  They haven't landed a top 5 instate recruit in 3 years.

He's going from playing a distant second fiddle at the Alabama Crimson machine to the front lines of arguably the toughest job in college sports.

If there's one place that will lead a guy to drink it's Texas.
