Mostly seems plausible. Two things I'd expect to go differently are a bigger win vs PSU (though really in a game this big almost any win is not mundane), and Harbaugh will for sure get suspended more than one game. He was already going to get suspended for multiple games before any of this sign stealing happened

I am nervous about this game.  "One track mind" and "tunnel vision" not withstanding, there is zero chance that this has not been a distraction for the team.  Additionally, PSU is essentially a proxy for the rest of the BIG and like it or not, Michigan administration and fans have been talking mad shit about everybody as well.  Penn State is coming off a get right game too.  Lastly, I am not expecting many calls to go Michigan's way.  I think the game is going to be a heart attack, and will require late McCarthy heroics.  I think it is going to be a game where I have no intention on drinking, but run up to the store after the first quarter to get beer, ie last year Illinois.

I get the nervousness because anything can happen in College Football but…….Ohio State moves the ball with regularity against PSU. I am not going to definitively say our offense is better than theirs but it is at least equal so we are going to have opportunities to score points. However, I will definitively say our defense is better than Ohio State, so things are going to be very difficult for Penn State to score unless we have multiple bust plays on defense. Also, I would be a lot more worried if PSU had a mobile QB. They don’t and I am confident Minter has a game plan to limit Allar. Go Blue!

Michigan should not take the gamble that Pettiti won't act after the close of business Friday,  as scummy as that would be.  We should file a declaratory judgment action today,  based on the B1G's threats of peremptory penalties, and seek an ex ex parte injunction from the Washtenaw Trial Court immediately, preventing any such action.  No reason to let these fools play us for idiots.

There is exactly 0 percent chance that Harbaugh gets suspended for the OSU game. Petitti is a TV exec by trade. He wants numbers. That week is rivalry week. People can choose to ignore that game in favor of other rivalries. He will want both teams at full strength. So if there's a Harbaugh suspension, it is either now and ending by OSU (unlikely because Warde will appeal), or it will be two games next year which includes Texas.

Your concern is valid only if you believe that Michigan and Coach have little to no chance of being granted a TRO.  As others have said (or implied), the timing of any attempted suspension by B1G after this weekend should, in my opinion, help Michigan and Coach.  Any actual or apparent focus by B1G on discipline/suspension for Nov 25th looks malicious and is bad business and politics.

Thamel was hooting and hollering about how the conference was definitely going to act soon and now he's saying it may take some time.  He's so inept at his job that I'll almost feel bad for him when he's inevitably cut during the next round of ESPN layoffs.

My hunch is that if it a suspension doesn't come this week, it is not coming at all, at least this season.

I get the feeling this is fizziling very quickly, everybody wants out at this point.

Yeah, when UM came back with that letter I suspect Petitti realized he was dangerously close to finding out after fucking around for a while and didn't want that smoke.

Again, he can get his pound of flesh following the usual processes or he can get walloped in the courts and publicly by trying to circumvent them.

This reeks of a "suspend him at 10am Saturday morning right before the Penn State game so Michigan can't possibly file for a TRO in time" or wait until 10am the morning of the OSU game and do the exact same thing.

The Big Ten is reviewing the lengthy written responses from both Michigan and Jim Harbaugh

Lol of course Thamel had to add that in there. Last time I checked 10 pages is not that long for a formal legal response
