OSU will never escape our vast network of spies

I'm not up on military planes, so I never would have caught this without someone pointing it out. Apparently the plane that did the flyover on Saturday is a Navy spy plane. No Stalions? Then the US Navy will take care of recording Ohio State's signs for us.

I touched base with a few of my old Navy colleagues. Apparently there was some sort of radar absorbing technology employed by the OSU sideline that prevented meaningful information. They described it as a sort of "softness"...

If that’s true, and UM used a Navy spy plane flyover to offset the loss of our Marine sign stealer, it may be the most expensive and amazing troll job in history!!!

Funny, I was working in downtown Ann Arbor a couple of weeks ago and that plane kept circling, really low. I was a little freaked out by it tbh.

It all made sense when I saw the flyover.

Unless...

In all seriousness, I think OSU wants Michigan to spy on them so they have some cheap excuse to fall back on.

If Saturday was great for only one thing, it’s that they must make up another lame reason why they can’t beat UM. If they should get left out of the CFP (and they should), I think their off season is going to show some cracks in their unity as a team. I mean, how much soul-searching can a program do over what will be 4 years since their last meaningful regular season win?

I can tell you that there was no where near as much red in that stadium as there has been in the past. They filled their allotment in the southwest corner and upper rows of the south endzone.  Their band took up pretty much all of their space in section 9-10.  Outside of that there were a few small groups here and there.  The tailgate used to feel like it was overrun with Buckeyes, at least where I was at I only saw one group of Buckeyes.

Perhaps the P-8 was used to drop and test some sort of top secret invisible sonobuoys, which found their way to the OSU sideline, listened in, and relayed their plays to the Vast Network command center.

Also, aviation fun fact, the P-8 is a militarized version of the Boeing 737-800, which does lend itself to a (relatively) tame flyover.

That's a P-8 Poseidon. It replaced the P-3 Orion. I helped work on it when I was at Boeing. Based on a 737-800. Really cool plane. Not really a spy plane though.

Make all the jokes you want, but this is what at least one syphilitic buckeye fan believes:

I didn’t sleep the night before the game or the night after. Nervous excitement and then sheer horror and disbelief. I hate that about this game, and it was only made worse by childish and completely inappropriate comments by Roman Wilson—who didn’t catch the TD—and others. This game has now turned into something completely different. In other losses, I could/would shrug it off because we had such dominance overall. The cooper days of my youth were gone. But now they’re most definitely back. There is no explanation for three losses in a row. Not recruiting. Not coaching. Not a series of bad calls like 2019 Clemson. Literally all that is left to explain what we keep seeing is cheating. Many on these boards and in the sports world have dismissed this as “whining” now, but nothing else makes sense. I maintain that there is nothing special about this TCUN team, and that they were very beatable. We had a mostly pedestrian game and we still had the ball last with a great chance of winning till we didn’t. Though we made mistakes, we answered in kind all afternoon and the game was never out of reach. Unlike the last two. It’s impossible not to attribute the last two to cheating. Impossible. And this year, I still maintain that the cheating was the difference yet again. Yes, we likely changed up our signs (though I still don’t understand why we didn’t huddle with a wristband), but I believe we have the tip of the iceberg and sign stealing is but one of the ways TCUN cheats. I believe they bug locker rooms. I believe they hack computer systems. I believe they bribe referees, officials, perhaps even some of our own players, coaches, and personnel for intel. Once you understand how criminal organizations work, you understand that they are capable of doing anything. Much of my professional career has been spent chasing down “bad guys” who use illicit means to gain advantage. Once they go down that path nothing is off the table. Hell, throw in good old fashioned blackmail and extortion to the mix. “Hey, that girl (or boy) you banged at that party was underage. Better give us the signs or gameplan or we’re going to the police.” Hard to believe, but these are desperate people fighting for their jobs and their program. They have demonstrated they are willing to do anything so we must conclude that means anything. Men without honor are the worst kinds of scum, and what’s worse than scum are Michigan Men. OSU needs to hire their own investigators and vet every single person in their organization. Bank records, emails, texts, digital currencies, families. Everything. Everyone. Have a counter espionage team sweep the entire WHAC and the opposition locker rooms before games. Get totally paranoid about this. Don’t trust anyone. Until TCUN is posting top five recruiting classes and has a coach with an actual history of winning, I will never believe TCUN is doing this legitimately. Harbaugh knew everything and probably did the same shit at Stanford and SF.
