Ferris had some great years but quickly collapsed right alongside the then CCHA. They were able to develop, recruit decently, and be able to play against M, MSU, ND,O$U, regularly.
I had some great years in the student section at Ferris and watched Chris Kunitz as a kid. Many good memories but it is sad to see what that program has become through no fault of their own. Ferris is however probably the premier D2 athletic school in the country right now.
Watching Rudock torch Florida was such a joy, especially since they supposedly had the greatest DB of the last 20 years that got totally cooked by Jehu Chesson
I've really enjoyed the Madness this year. I typically don't tune in much but the level of play has been incredible, both men and women. Grant Nelson from Alabama has been one I'm most impressed with, 6'10 guys like him aren't supposed to be that athletic!

Lets just get this out of the way, there is no longer such a thing as an "elite recruiter". It is all to the highest bidder now. No better example than Ryan Day at O$U, you're telling me these guys want to go there for "the culture and family feel"? please. Follow the money.
OSU assembling the most talented roster in the country by a country mile.... through recruiting.... actually through buying players. Is a big problem. M fans do not want to re-live the RR and Hoke era.
But did they hand out cash? Im pretty sure I still have some HS eligibility left and I would be one heck of a TE or DL prosepct at 6'5 165. I cant run any more though, is that a deal breaker?
They sure are spending the $$ to load up on mercenaries. Do I wish M ha more 5 stars? Yes. But is going this route a guarantee for success? look at A&M. This is likely to implode and there's no way you keep that roster happy on the field.
Absolutely agree. However, if it was truly about winning to these recruits we would have O-linemen, RB's, DB's, and darn near every other position that QB and WR begging to come to Michigan. That's simply not the case and it is very impressive what Harbaugh has been able to accomplish without taking the O$U route of just out-talenting everyone.
Unless you're a five star that could very well not pan out ala Derrick Green. It's quite the insurance policy to take the couple hundred K in NIL and then make it to the NFL, or not.
Agreed. However, this is truly life changing money for many of these kids, if they don't blow it. Just wait til friends or family members become "agents" and end up stealing all the money because young kids aren't versed well enough to enter into these types of deals without being prime targets for "investments" and every other thing you can imagine. Michigan is doing is right so far but this is truly turning into "buying championships".
I believe this has already been disproven with regards to our back to back to back B1G championships and playoff appearances. Many of these kids don't want to "play for a winning team" when they can get an upfront bag without any sort of performance incentive. God bless Saint Harbaugh for winning with largely "inferior" talent.

However, Michigan Football has served the same type of effect for me as it did for Jaime. The culture of college football is rapidly changing, and rightly so, but I pray that our beloved Wolverines will always be who they've always been, Conquering Heroes. I am forever thankful for Jim Harbaugh, the team, and all who make Michigan Football go.
The posters earlier revelations connecting Ohio State and Catapult Sports is quite interesting, that would be quite the guess if it was just throwing shit at the wall. There obviously something to the Stal Bombs account. We shall see how tOSU reacts given that our signal deciphering was "the biiggest college football scandal of all time".
