But there are fans for the BIG tournament? What a complete shit show.
In all seriousness, I wonder if they’ll pump in a little fake crowd noise for tv
Pump it in live from a mic in the hometown bars of the teams.
A laugh track after airballs
If Michigan wins this year's tournament, I will never forgive Mark Emmert for making this decision on my behalf.
If Michigan wins this year's tournament, you can come to my house for a monster party to celebrate. I will get my pal Jeff Spicoli to book Van Halen for the night...
I don't see how the tournament doesn't just end up getting canceled all together. Too much liability involved.
it's the right decision. Fauci let the cat out of the bag. Expect 1M deaths or more unless urgent measures are taken.
This is just one example.
Here's another one from Italy, "Italian coronavirus death toll climbs by 196 to 827 in 24 hours as country's top doctors say intensive care units should stop treating the elderly."
The mission right now is don't be Italy.
That's what the Italians are thinking. That's why they locked down the nation, so they can't escape!
What are the demographics of Italians?!
they're healthier than Americans.
At least, they were.
They have universal healthcare, and more doctors and hospital beds per capita. They are also older. On balance I think we are in as much trouble as they are.

I’m taking the way, way under.
Now we'll see how that theory works out about quiet Crisler making Michigan lose games
Al Glick must be protected at all costs.
This is going to be some of the strangest viewing I have ever seen.
I also feel really bad for the underdogs. When those fans begin to shift and throw their support for an upset, it really drives them and can deflate the big boys.
Bet chalk all the way through Atlanta.
OTOH the lack of energy can be really disconcerting for big-name teams. NCAA hockey has long been a laboratory experiment of what happens when small teams play heavily favored powers in empty arenas, and the results suggest that small teams have a good chance there.
FWIW if things are shutting down like this, people are going to be staying in a lot more, and the NCAA games are going to do absolutely monstrous ratings.
Granted, but we also know the high variance of hockey contributes heavily to those upsets too
On the flip side, maybe there will be less nerves to work through if they're used to playing in front of smaller crowds. They might adjust quicker than the guys used to playing in front of 10000-15000 people.
Just suspend everything. Why put the teams at risk. There's a tsunami coming but unlike Fukushima we have warning.
I hope we all die
da fuq?
Good news is yes, everyone will die.
Question is how, and when exactly.
We will.
Are you prepared?
I am. In fact, I'm worth more dead than alive.
Or at least a solid 50 percent.

Username couldn’t check out any better....
Italy says all stores except pharmacies and food markets will be closed in response to the country's new virus outbreak -
Well Michigan did well in the Bahamas with few people in attendance.
You beat me to it. I posted that when signing on and then came across this.
Gonna be in Vegas for the tourney next week. Gonna be weird.
Only if you're driving. POTUS will announce stop of all air travel tonight, effective Saturday.
source? Sorry, but I'm at college and am going to need to find another way of getting home if this is true. May as well try and get ahead of the announcement.
Putiboy has been pulling all sorts of information out of his rectum in wake of all this virus panic.
It's like Christmas morning at the Internet Research Agency!!!
Damn--I shouldn't be surprised that Putin is the one who knew what Trump was going to announce tonight.
This is to Michigan's benefit. They're used to playing in front of quiet crowds.
Just read The Bachelorette which is about to start filming next week announced they won't be traveling abroad to film any episodes
i can see it now: 'the bachelorette goes to hamtramck'
So basically crowd size will be down to Battle 4 Atlantis size. Sounds just about right.
Sad for all the players and teams. What a fucking joke.
Why is it a joke?
The atmosphere is gonna be like watching NBA summer league. I suppose it's better than nothing at all, though.
B1G just announced the B1G Tournament is happening as scheduled. Good for them.
You really don't have any scope as to what matters in life do you?
You have a lot to learn in life. Michigan and sports aren’t everything.
You know what's a fucking joke: Not taking every precaution to protect our fellow Americans.
When even Putin cares more about Americans than you...
"What a fucking joke"? Get a grip. Yeah, lets just create an giant incubator to pass around a deadly virus so we can play a game. No empathy for the future victims that would have been impacted due to the negligence of the NCAA, right?
