Level playing field? He was coaching at michigan, not eastern michigan lol. He had more resources than 99% of other programs. He benefitted from the unleveled playing field.

This is on Howard -- both the lack of in-game adjustments and the roster construction in general. He set us up to be last in the big ten, and that's really just unacceptable.

There should be the risk for doing that — yes you can reach out and try to score, but if it gets loose and goes OOB in the end zone in the process of you making that risk, it’s the other team’s ball.
Alabama OSU and Georgia always have the same talent-pool every single year that we just had for one season after the perfect forumula of everyone coming back to win it all. And we are only going to get less and less of that talent pool as NIL (and Michigan's failure to fully participate) move forward.
We are not Alabama, OSU, or Georgia -- we will never be Alabama, OSU, or Georgia. They simply recruit at an entirely different level, and are at that level every single year.

But it's not fair to compare Harbaugh to a lot of those guys.
First, there is no fear of him leaving to another college program -- so any comparison of a national championship winner leaving for another school would be out.
Second, a lot of the other guys either are those with no desire to ever coach in the nfl, or had previously tried to coach in the nfl and failed bigtime.
Harbaugh has a great nfl winning percentage -- maybe top five all time if we check -- and lost a super bowl to his own brother.
There just isn't a good comparison between him and other coaches in how much he wants to win a super bowl.

The main reason he left was because of exactly what has become of college basketball, so I doubt he would ever want to return.
Allowing highschoolers to be drafted again would certainly help fix it.
