Considering McCord has been throwing to "Maserati Marv" since HS it should be interesting to see him in a new situation. Better luck to him now that he isn't a Buckeye.

Michigan should go get him.  Think of the advanced in person scouting opportunities.

OSU probably has someone lined up (tampering), and they usually fail upwards, but this is what happens when the wheels start coming off.   I'd love to see them strike out on getting a replacement. Michigan should bid up anyone that OSU goes after.   Hell, pay for their top prospects to go to ND or somewhere else.  

You also have to wonder what bringing in a transfer would do to their QB room.  McCord bolted. Unless Devin Brown is being sold a bill of goods you have to assume that he's going to bolt.  I guess he has 3 years left, but if 1-2 are taken by a transfer....

McCord transferring to Michigan and getting a win over Ohio State as the starter here is my new favorite funny outcome.

Apparently he knows they are bringing in a high profile QB from the portal. Two interceptions in The Game and a week later...he gone!!

McCord to Michigan then we beat them with their QB. That would be sweet.

If JJ leaves for the NFL, bring this guy in, let him beat OSU, and enjoy the schadenfreude even more.

Transfer to Florida State. They will genuinely appreciate good QB play. The fanbase would embrace him. He would be the best QB on roster and be surrounded by talent, in a conference that he could dominate.

So when we win our next 2 games, JJ declares for the draft, we bring in McCord and we win THE GAME 2024 with him, that would be a serious IN YOUR FACE to THIRD BASE.

Not great. Michigan couldn't have asked for a better QB at Ohio. I assume they're going the portal route. Another hired mercenary.

McCord seemed a pretty level headed player, so this is a really bad sign for Day’s skills at roster management/ culture unless they sign a can’t miss transfer—Gabriel?—as part of a coherent long term plan (eg shift to mobile qb)

too bad, i was looking forward to grinding his teeth into dust for the next couple years.

Enjoy this season, my fellow Wolverines because things are about to get weird in college football. It’s becoming an NFL copy and this is the start.

Feels a lot like the film “The Final Season” about Norway High School baseball getting one final season before a school merger that would dissolve the legendary baseball program.

It just occurred to me the mass exodus at Ohio is likely due to Day threatening these players with having to attend class. In the words of Cardale Jones,,,

Much as I took digs at McCord leading up to the game he played well and sounds like a really cerebral and nice kid. Dare I say we might want him in Ann Arbor if JJ decides to announce for the draft. Coach him up and he’s be primed for revenge against his former team which would be maddening for them and delicious for us just like when Justin Boren transferred to Ohio State when RichRod became our coach and threw shade at us for losing the family atmosphere.

At 11-1, you come up short on the last possession, it’s just not good enough. So you got to look at everything, and we will look at everything.

I hope every recruit looking at that cesspool is made aware of these words and how they reflect on his attitude toward his student-athletes and his own level of personal responsibility.

Getting a new QB at OSU could cause them a lot of trouble.  They'll have to get the QB up to speed from scratch in their system.  And unless they are getting a QB who is thoroughly proven already to be excellent in college, they are taking a bigger risk.

Having your starting QB hit the transfer portal right after The Game looks like program panic and overreaction.

We should get him and Fleming and then win the B1G with them just to show them it really is that Day is just garbage
