Losing Ben Johnson and keeping Aaron Glenn could send the Lions right back to the SOL years. Aaron Glenn and that defense are horrid. Sutton does not belong on any NFL roster. If the defense gets one, just one stop in the second half and the Lions are in the Super Bowl.
Good luck to him, and thanks to him for getting Michigan back to the promised land but also good riddance. It will literally be nice to not have all the off season drama each and every year. Some people just always think the grass is greener on the other side of the fence and guess what, sometimes it's not. NIL is a total sham. Money isn't being directed to athletes for their name, image, or likeness, it is being paid to players to just join or stay on a football team. Give me old college football any time. I'm sick of watching college football turn into the haves and the have nots based strictly on cash payments. Guys like Klatt that are "excited" by what OSU is doing just don't get it. No lower level major school will ever be able to keep their best athletes any more. It will forever be about going to the highest bidder. What is happening to the game as we knew it is really sad.
I don't believe NIL is hurting Michigan, I believe NIL is hurting the landscape of college football. It is literally a free for all right now. The NCAA wants to talk about level playing fields and competitive landscapes but right now college football is quickly becoming the haves and the have nots based strictly on how much money can be spent on buying players. It really is a mess. There's a reason all of the major sports have salary caps and until the NCAA gets this thing figured out it's only going to get worse.
The crazy thing about the Lions is Dan Campbell's salary. His salary is 4 million a season and here we can't get Harbaugh signed for over almost 3x that much. I can't imagine what Campbell could have got if he would have listened to the folks at Texas A & M.
This does not bode well for the Lions chances against Stafford. CeeDee Lamb has one catch for 8 yards against the Packers after scorching the Lions secondary for over 200 yards.
Surprised that there wasn't more stuff instantly available. When the Wings won their cups you could be wearing all of the championship gear the next day. Of course there were a lot of losers shirts and hats that had to be either thrown in the garbage or shipped to third world countries.
Losing Johnson would really hurt the team...Glenn not so much. I will say that it is harder to evaluate Glenn since he has such a bad staple of defensive backs, but he is very erratic in how he decides to pressure the qb which drives me nuts.
There was also an identical personal foul penalty that Michigan got called for where one of the lineman was knocked down and then the Alabama defender dove on top of him. Nobody even mentioned it.

He said after being around the Michigan team for a week he walked away with a total different perspective on the program and the great kids in it. He also said if they win the natty they will be true champions.
Face it, college football (can we even call it that any more) is changed forever or until the NCAA steps in and provides some sense of control but the but they are clearly a joke. The ban on off site scouting was put in place because of a competitive imbalance due to some schools not being able to afford to send scouts to games but it’s totally fine for the team with the most NIL money to go out and buy as many players as possible. What’s wrong with that picture?
The problem with them is you need one big enough that you can spread the food out so it doesn't touch. If it touches it all sticks together and when you break it apart it's not cooked where it was touching. In that case you need one that is the size of an oven. As previously mentioned the clean up is a pain just like the Foreman grill.
