Gawd...I need a smoke after them highlights. I don't know about the rest of you but I have 4 teams to watch and cheer for in the NFL now. Seattle, LA Chargers, Minnesota and the Lions especially. Also Baltimore peripherally. This tangled web he weaves is enthralling.
The Lions are it but the others for the obvious reasons. Almost like I am following FF but with a true fan interest.
Huh....doing things the right way reflects well on collegiate, amateur athletes and tries to make them unbreakable (safe) and successful. Only someone weird would ascribe to that.
I am sure this philosophy won't catch on because....there is accountability. Very unpopular these days.
I hate Xfinity and tell their reps this after every loss of cable or price haggle interaction. I tell them I hope they record this and share my rancor with the people at the top who clearly don't care. That goes both ways in the near future.
Told them I am cutting the cord as I did on my other place which has been wonderful and saved me $60 a month for better desired content.
As you get older don't forget proximity to a hospital. 6 minutes for me by sheer accident as my wife found a diamond in the rough. Buys some piece of mind given family heart issue history.
St. George, Utah, Flagstaff, AZ both have reasonable proximity to warm climates but are more elevated for seasons. Northern Mass and New Hampshire for all seasons and beautiful fall colors. I don't want to mention (again) where we just bought because too many are flocking already (sorry). Birmingham, MI, Ann Arbor, MI and Michigans west coast are pretty good and city accessible options while retaining 4 seasons and much wooded and lakefront nature trails, beaches, etc.
Just some thoughts from someone that sold Estero, FL 3 bedroom gated in one day due to Hurricane, shark, gator concerns and I can play golf wherever I want for three seasons and fly to visit a warm state to golf in winter as I have before without buying the worries.
Austin Healey MKIII in traditional green, for open air tradition and Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio in red for a 4 door sedan that punches with twin turbos and 510 HP and still got me 40 MPG in easy driving. Ferrari engine. I don't need the off the line burnout of a Hellcat/Demon since I am cheap in buying tires. Handles on rails.
I'd say Ennis Rakestraw Jr. being drafted by the Lions means they were looking to move Branch back to field general and Mike was in play. Frazier being gone also likely meant one less target. Happy for all the guys yesterday but thought Roman and Kris deserved higher drafting position. Need at the time versus best available affects all teams I guess.
The WV center as a backup for guard and center is the biggest one to me in the second followed by secondary, DT and DE as 2nd best available (I think with improving Paschal and Houstan and the new guy we may be servicable opposite Hutch). Re-sign Decker (not sure what's left in the kitty for Goff/Decker after St. Brown/Sewell) and keep the band together.
I must admit I would like to see Cornelius Johnson drafted later rounds as the Lions 3rd WR option replacing Reynolds. His combine performance and late season clutch catches have changed my mind on him getting drafted versus FA. Not that he cares what I think but just saying.
You sure...they were coached by that weird cheater or so I heard. People showing their red ass. They let their actions speak so loudly I can't hear what they are saying. Ironical.
I am hoping for this as well. Mike has Campbell/Holmes type player written all over him. We have the cover corners now so let's get the slot taken care of and get Branch back to safety.
Later round Wolverines can help many holes and they have more upside with exemplary attitudes.
I only mentioned my opinion of areas of need matches. RB not one of them. Harbaugh is drafting Blake 3rd round at the latest. Or John will. His soft spoken killer attitude sticks with me especially as you saw his perfectly timed td celebration actions. The corn roll at Neb, PSU Manny mocking, Buckeye Zak tribute and Alabama curled lip snarl look were enlightening. The "Business is finished" quip carried a status his quiet demeanor didn't convey and showed to me the Mike-esque level team respect.
Selfishly for the Lions I want Mike, Braiden, Zak, Trevor, Trente and Turner. Zak, I hope, will be gone but the others we may have later round shots at. Character matters. Team, not me, guys.
Is this the same guy who stayed on the field and watched the winning teams celebrate at each seasons end and then last year strode to the podium and after crushing defeat guaranteed they'd be back. That guy?
Probably lacks motivation and drive like his college coach. Needs to learn to be more weird.
