That's the problem though. Almost all of his drives into the lane as of late have been "well defended." He's a good athlete, but not good enough to blow by guys and sky over them. He drives into the lane and gets in the air only to be met by a defender so he throws up a terrible shot. Got rejected on a fade away against Rutgers. Missed a bunny against Iowa when he actually did jump higher than the defender, and now he gets stuffed.
Plus, defensively he gets blown by a lot. He's a good spot up 3 point shooter, rebounder, and interior 4 defender.

Those are the shots id like to see him take though. I’d also like to see us get it down low to Davis. They need to wear IU’s post players out.

Good start so far, I keep saying ok, that's the biggest lead of the game and plan on doing that a lot more in this game.

Loved X while he was here, but damn, having Smith as a scoring threat outside (not to mention a great FT shooter) really changes things compared to X.
While Michigan does lose some defense, they gain so much on the offensive side of things

It was more exciting with X but so much less stressful with Smith.

They both have their exciting moments but sometimes watching X dribble the air out of the ball was frustrating. That hook shot was a beauty though.

I love aggressive Franz. He elevates this team so much when he plays like this. Think he got a benefit of a foul call on that post-up. Not sure that was a foul.
Johns looks off last couple games and Davis struggles against teams with a quicker center or smaller post guys. He was the culprit for 2 scored right when he came into the game.
