Game Thread - Beat IU

Mates,

Tip off in 11 minutes.  Break the curse of Assembly Hall.  Win game, clinch B10 if the Illini go down.

Enjoy weekend.  Sunny and warmer up north.

I'm really happy about the BTT being in Indy -- I think it'll help with M's routine come NCAAT time.

Also, the shrimp cocktail at St. Elmo's is no joke.  Very heavy on the horseradish.

well, felt a little bit like a trap game, so can't really complain about an 16 point win on the road.

They are definitely going to have to be more prepared for the game versus Illinois though...going to need Johns and Davis to be better playing Kofi.

Not sure if Ayo is going to be back, but I hope he is...don't want Illinois fans using that as an excuse if they lose.

Nice game from a 'just get through it' standpoint.  I don't think they put in too much effort, except for a few short outbursts.  Balls to the wall all game and they beat IU by 45...

We slowly squeeze the life out of teams like an anaconda.  You think you're still OK for a while and then you look around and all you see is scales around your throat.

Michigan brought its C+/B- game today and still won by 16 on the road. Tough to be too upset about that.

Let's rest up, regroup, and get ready for the big one in AA on Tuesday night.

Nothing like a 16 point win that really was never even close past the 10 minute mark of the first half that I was bored and disinterested in. They are that good where I find myself frustrated when we turn the ball over or miss a 4 footer.

Nice, solid win. They seemed a little out of sync, probably due to the quick turnaround. This was a trap game after the two big games they just had. Good to survive it.

Geez guys - how many times have we blown out Indy at their place? That was a fine performance - Franz was on fire!

Team looked strong on both ends - tons of great looks on offense, moved the ball around. On D, they forced Indy into bad shots late in the clock.

Indy was completely overmatched - Go Blue!

The craziest stat of the game - Michigan's bench only had three points - the three from Chaundee Brown. The starters were a perfect 17-17 from the FT line.

Even with the bench "struggles," this was still a pretty easy win on the road.

It blows my mind how good this team is!  Go Blue!

I can live with this result.  This had the making of a trap game for us with a big game against the Illini and a home and home with Staee coming up.  For anyone not watching the game it will look like we rolled on to victory with plenty of good clips for the highlight reel.  Studio hosts are talking us up.  For Coach Howard there will be plenty of game film that they can study to show something to the team they can learn from.  Wagner had a stellar performance and Livers and Dickinson looked solid.  Brooks stayed within his role.  Smith was a bunch of overripe bananas.  The bench contributed next to nothing - only 3 points on a bucket by Chaundee that looked like it was deflected.  Johns and Davis were struggling.  Every bench player was in the minus in the +/- column.  Indiana is clearly a week and poorly coached team.

Casey Jacobson and Steve Lavin talking about Michigan being a tier below Gonzaga and Baylor. I can’t wait to get to the tournament and prove all these dipshits wrong.
