Friday POSBang: Still feelin' like a national champ
It's been a helluva week and Michigan has had 3 DB coaches in about as many days, but the sun came up, I made it to another Friday (as I hope all of you did), and my favorite team in all of sportsball is the reigning national champs.

OP, I'm with you.
The past 3 years of UM football and the National Title this year have me on cloud nine.
Not only can I now die happy, I'm legit a bit more content these days - the feeling isn't wearing off.
Still can't believe it was finally UM with the dream season.
15-0....What a fucking beautiful year, forever in our memories.
40-3....The past 3 seasons, 3-0 against OSU, 3 B1G titles.

To add, Michigan in the 3 years only lost to 1 BIG team. And that game, had many fluke plays to put it mildly. It took being on the road, having the opponent benefit from several big momentum swinging plays to beat us.

... and in that loss facing a true generational CFB RB. But fate writing that script to then have MSU blown out by OSU and making the Buckeyes and pundits sooooooo overconfident of us losing again was extra specal.

i always have thought it's curious how we don't really have any cheers/chant/iconography/logos around the word "wolverines" outside of "it's great to be a michigan wolverine" and the helmet sticker. like having one endzone at the bighouse say "WOLVERINES" instead of "MICHIGAN" would be rather jarring to me. I remember during the adidas era, one year the basketball team had a maize jersey that said "WOLVERINES" on it and i kept thinking how weird it looked.

A friend of my wife (also a Michigan alum) had a bet with a Nebraska Cornhusker colleague of hers that the loser would have to bake the winner a cake based on the outcome of that year's Michigan-Nebraska game. The cake would have to be decorated with the winning team's colors and logos. Michigan won and the colleague made good on the bet. But not being totally familiar with our traditions, he wrote "Go Wolverines" on the cake instead of "Go Blue". It looked really odd.

Ryan Day is comedic gold - such a fraud. Doughy soft - mentally, physically.
His crying around sign gate and now loading up with an NFL 2 deep to save his job are such weak sauce. As if not enough NFL talent was ever their problem. Maybe develop an O-line and those 5* edge rushers you have?
I see him as an unhinged penguin above - (with none of the cuteness) - but obviously very, very tough. The toughest!

I watched the WolverineDevotee highlights of the Championship on Rumble last night.
It’s wild, upon rewatch, to realize that the winning points were scoring in the first quarter. It’s wild to watch Penix, panicking because he’s hurting and has Michigan DL in his face, miss a wide open Rome Odunze and chuck it directly to Mike Sainristil.
That game was yet another where the final score didn’t reflect how much of an ass-kicking we delivered. The game plans for Ohio State, Alabama, and Washington are Football PhD-level advanced. What a year. What a 3-year run!

Just saw my parents this week and got to give them their NC title game swag.

If all we lose is Sabb, we come out of the Harbaugh - Moore transition scathed, but only somewhat. It's not nearly as bad as others like our vanquished opponent Washington.
