Friday POSBang: Still feelin' like a national champ

Submitted by mi93 on February 16th, 2024 at 9:49 AM

It's been a helluva week and Michigan has had 3 DB coaches in about as many days, but the sun came up, I made it to another Friday (as I hope all of you did), and my favorite team in all of sportsball is the reigning national champs.

Have the best Friday ever, smile at everyone, bang out some positivity, and Go Blue!

It's great... to be...

Wore a Michigan golf hat on the course here in Texas and a local guy tried to give me some shit about the national championship having an asterisk because they cheated. I told him he could put as many asterisks or bows that he wanted to on it. I then told him the second best part was sending Saban out a loser. His buddy agreed so I high fived him and we exchanged Go Blue's!!.

It's great to be a Meeeechigan Wolverine National Champions 🏈

A Meeeeechigan Wolverine!

Looks like a great new coaching staff...a returning killer D ... some good offensive pieces.

Find some version of a serviceable QB, and maybe this'll be a re-load instead of a re-build!

Can't wait to see the reaction in Columbus when this squad makes it 4 in a row!!!

We are national champs. The new staff is coming together. Buckeye fans are miserable. If you cannot find a way to be happy right now then you will never be happy as a fan. Enjoy this time everyone

I'm celebrating the NC until September.  That's when the new season starts and eventually a new champion will be crowned.  Heck, it may be UofM again.

HAPPY FRIDAY

My national championship gear finally arrived yesterday.  The hat was very well formed, not a crappy version as I had feared.  All the stuff looked good.   Feeling the winning all over again.

Just re-watched the 45-23 game as a warmup for this weekend's planned binge watching of a perfect 15-0 season. I just love it when Buckeyes load the box to stop the run but they aren't gap sound. Whoosh!

Ain't nobody got it better than we do. Nope!

Nobody.

Every Friday is a great day!

Definitely love watching the end of the RB, starting with the 4th down conversion to Corum on the last drive. Even the muffed punt showed we could shake off the demons of underwhelming seasons.

Has the entire staff been formally cleared (LB coach, etc.) or are we waiting for more details.

Yep, still basking in it here.....maybe some rough water ahead, but I'm still sitting on a beach, sipping on a rum punch, and watching it from shore.

BPONE can't touch me, maybe not for quite a while. The Sporting News on X: "Blake Corum flashes 65 to the camera after scoring his touchdown to honor Michigan teammate Zak Zinter who was just carted off in this game 〽️ https://t.co/MWOsE2Wc9v" /

EDITED TO ADD my favorite image of the 2023 season and the embodiement of Team 144.

I still can't believe the following all happened in a 3 week span:

Michigan defeats Alabama in the Rose Bowl; Nick Saban promptly retires.

Michigan defeats Washington, wins National Championship.

Lions win back to back playoff games for the first time since the 1950's.

Sometimes I think I must have suffered a fall back in December, am still unconscious, and dreamed the whole thing.

Definitely still feeling like a national champ!

Also still basking in the added joy of being only one of five teams (and only Big 10 team) to ever go 15-0 and knowing we are the last team to ever win in an era of anything close to "true" college football that we all know and love. GO BLUE!!!!

This enclave of positivity and great memories of a football run of a lifetime are helping me today.  I had my left knee replaced yesterday, but remembering our string of BIG championships and of course the Rose Bowl victory and National Championship is keeping my pain at bay.  Go Blue forever!

Happy Friday MGoBloggers!  Going to enjoy Michigan being national champs in football every Friday until the next season starts.  Excited about some of the new Coaching hires.  Hope everyone has a great President's Weekend.  Stay thirsty my friends.

Ad gif. The Most Interesting man alive from the Dos Equis commercials points to the camera with a serious look on his face. The text reads: “You got this.”

I'm still finding myself overjoyed over this past season.  I work at home with my wife and I still find myself just walking up to her and saying "We won the National Championship honey, can you believe it?".  Then the next thought is...Fuck the Buckeyes and Teeny-Tiny Pettiti.
