Frost is going to get tarmac'd after this beatdown.
I'm sure his mom will come to his rescue again.
August 28th, 2021 at 3:49 PM ^
There has been a lot of talk about how maybe Nebraska should move back to the Big12.
There's never been a better time than now . . .
August 28th, 2021 at 3:51 PM ^
Martinez taketh away, Martinez giveth.
August 28th, 2021 at 3:53 PM ^
Illinois is still Illinois, even with Bert at the helm.
August 28th, 2021 at 3:52 PM ^
And there goes the legs of or Martinez. He sure can run. Momentum maybe?
August 28th, 2021 at 3:58 PM ^
The Discover Card cash back commercials give me the runs.
August 28th, 2021 at 3:59 PM ^
Bert somehow looks bigger than he did at Arkansas. He may need one of those Charlie Weiss canes pretty soon.
August 28th, 2021 at 4:03 PM ^
It has been almost three full hours since kick-off, and there's still a quarter to go!
Lord have mercy.

Hope craws eternal!

Charbonnet with 33 yrds on 3 carries against the mighty Rainbow D

Love UCLA's home unis.
August 28th, 2021 at 4:18 PM ^
That curious, curious moment when you're watching a bad game between two despised teams and you suddenly find yourself caring deeply about who wins. Go Illinois! Skill the Scott Frosties!
August 28th, 2021 at 4:19 PM ^
Will Nebraska ever return to something close to their glory years (70s-90s)? Scott Frost obviously is not the answer. As much as I dislike them, it would be good for the B1G to see them finally become a good to great football program again.
August 28th, 2021 at 4:22 PM ^
If frost is not the answer then it seems no one is. Nebraska is what it is. A middle of the pack program that wins 9-10 games every once in a while. Unfortunately I feel if harbaugh doesn’t succeed this season we are headed in the same garbage heap the cornhuskers are in
August 28th, 2021 at 5:34 PM ^
It’s possible that no one is the answer and that Frost sucks. The Venn diagram considerably overlaps here.
August 28th, 2021 at 4:24 PM ^
They were crazy on steroids during their glory days. I don't know what they are like now, or if the Big 10 does more (or any) testing.
August 28th, 2021 at 5:36 PM ^
Also, they had like 175 players on the team because of their crazy walk-on program, and ran an exotic offense. Now they’re just another team.
August 28th, 2021 at 4:21 PM ^
This has to be the worst Nebraska team since frosts first year. I don’t see them retaining him past week 6 if this game is any indication of how bad they are
August 28th, 2021 at 4:25 PM ^
Charbonnet just pinged off defenders and ran for a nice touchdown. 80 yrds on the ground and 14 in the air first half!
August 28th, 2021 at 4:25 PM ^
Well I feel a little better about NEB becoming our crossover rival. And Penn State getting Illini
August 28th, 2021 at 4:29 PM ^
We gotta go on the road to Neb, maybe at night. Not our strong suite.
Hey, let's let Ohio State be Nebraska's big emotional win as they see fired Scott Frost off.
August 28th, 2021 at 4:34 PM ^
More follies from Frosts boys
August 28th, 2021 at 4:35 PM ^
Let’s spend this timeout by blowing OSU.
August 28th, 2021 at 4:36 PM ^
Note to Michigan: When we play Martinez, DO NOT blitz him out of the pocket. Keep him in there.
August 28th, 2021 at 4:40 PM ^
Late TD by huskers and a blown XP!
August 28th, 2021 at 4:40 PM ^
Nebraska, do you even want to win?
August 28th, 2021 at 4:40 PM ^
Missed PAT again. Wow.
August 28th, 2021 at 4:43 PM ^
Not sure Frost shouldn't have used one of those hoarded timeouts there, anyway. Time is very short.
August 28th, 2021 at 4:41 PM ^
Is that Quin Nordine I spy out there?
August 28th, 2021 at 4:41 PM ^
I predict Frost lasts longer as coach than that kid does as kicker.
August 28th, 2021 at 4:42 PM ^
I respect Nebraska’s success with the “have our QB run for his life” play
August 28th, 2021 at 4:44 PM ^
Why no on-side kick? You have to stop Illinois on downs anyway. Why not get a chance for a possession?
August 28th, 2021 at 4:50 PM ^
I guess the concern would be that Illinois may be able to get a first down and then kick a FG, but yeah not sure why they didn't take a shot.
August 28th, 2021 at 4:46 PM ^
I've watched this game on and off today and the big takeaway is that the Big 10 west is going to have a bunch of wild games that end with both teams shooting themselves in the feet and everyone but Iowa and Wisconsin being below .500.
August 28th, 2021 at 4:50 PM ^
Charbonnet with 106 yrds on 6 carries and 14 passing
August 28th, 2021 at 5:05 PM ^
He looks good, and good for him. But he's running against Hawaii. Have you noticed the size of those holes?
August 28th, 2021 at 5:09 PM ^
He throws too?
August 28th, 2021 at 4:53 PM ^
I don't really get Nebraska's play calling at the end of the game. They don't have the playmakers to beat anyone down field and Martinez doesn't have the arm either. They should be running some short passes to the sidelines or at least ones that get you a FD so you can move the ball a bit. Trying to throw deep on your own 15 with under a minute isn't going to work.

Annnnd Scott Frost just lost his job
August 28th, 2021 at 7:22 PM ^
The trouble is he has a 20 million buyout, which he signed when the old AD was heading out the door. And realistically whose coming to NEB?
NEB got hurt coming to the Big. They don’t really play teams in their traditional footprint, and they’re not really getting kids to come from the Midwest the way other BIG schools do - they’re an awkward fit on top of bad mismanagement.
August 28th, 2021 at 4:53 PM ^
They still give trophies for out-hitting a team?
August 28th, 2021 at 4:57 PM ^
Frost's team gets it every game. It's an amazing record.
August 28th, 2021 at 4:54 PM ^
No doubt Illinois will be petitioning the Big Ten office for a banner after being undefeated in conference
August 28th, 2021 at 4:55 PM ^
I for one found that game entertaining.
Especially the outcome.
August 28th, 2021 at 4:56 PM ^
I had forgotten Oliver Martin wound up a Nebraska but he finished with over 100 yards in the game, which basically equals his season production the last two years combined.
August 28th, 2021 at 4:56 PM ^
The announcer just said, "So long from Campaign." I thought I misheard so I played it back. And again he said, "Campaign." Maybe he meant, "So long from the start of the 2021 campaign."
