I wasn't expectingMuch from this game. And it's even less than that. Neither team trying a downfield safety splitting play. Neither team showing fire, especially Nebraska. Scott Frost looking flat, with ZERO emotion. Very poor special teams by Nebraska gives Illinois a safety. I don't think I've seen that particular thing happen before.
I couldn't see before why some on here were worried about the Michigan at Nebraska game. Now I can't see it even more.

Fuck this shit! My local Fox has the Bills/Packers pre-season game. I don't care how bad Illinois and especially Nebraska is but I'd much rather watch that instead of an NFL pre-season game! I'd rather watch anything than an NFL pre-season game!

Recruiting rankings are becoming less and less relevant in the age of the portal.
The difference makers in this game of mid-level recruiting teams are 4/5-star transfers from Georgia, USC, Michigan, and so on.
"Recruiting rankings" need to be updated at the beginning of each season to reflect transfers. They will look a lot different than right after National Signing Day.
