I'll just post it here since I've already posted it elsewhere...

Colorado St.
Hawaii
UConn
MD
@Iowa
@Indiana
PSU
(BYE)
MSU
@Rutgers
Nebraska
Illinois
@OSU

Love the way this sets up with a young defense. Go 4-0 and get ready for the big one at Iowa. Which feels like the Washington game from this year (first big test).

PSU feels like Wisconsin from this year...just win the damn thing, stay healthy, get to the bye week. Ugly win? Don't care.

Then we get two weeks to prepare for MSU. Blow their fucking doors off.

Nebraska is your late season danger game like PSU was this year. Then you're on the road trying to make history.

Michigan won't start the year unranked, but if it can get that @Iowa game...and I think they can. You might be looking at a couple of undefeated teams in Columbus in a top 3 match-up.

Long way before then, thought MBB would be better this year...they will have to work even harder than last offseason, but on paper in January...at least I can see a path.

Definitely a concern...however, I'm glad it's not a week or 2 later.

I like the big game that everyone is going to circle and respect in the offseason. You get 4 games to fine tune and then let's go.

Also, it's not like their offense is historically explosive. And our defense is my biggest worry.

That said, communication and they'll be testing our "eyes" for sure.

Could be an @Nebraska type game from this year, where that exact thing happened. Hostile crowd, night game, Nebraska scores off of fucking with us.

I like that early Maryland test for the secondary.  One would think Demus returns to improve his draft stock.  He and Rakim Jarrett should be an interesting matchup.  I'd also like to see how much Tualia improves after another offseason in the system.  He started out on fire last year, but can he put a full season together?

All that being said, I don't think M loses that game without a lot of self-inflicted wounds.  We all know how good Maryland is for the first 3 games of each season.  It's game 4 where the wheels fall off.

Damn, that's an easy schedule given that we have to play all the Big Ten East teams.

We do have to play September Maryland, so there is that.

PSU will be hard, glad it's at home.  We should make it a maize out night game.  I'm more concerned about it than MSU.

Iowa will be hard, they will be out for blood after the Big Ten Championship game beatdown, and it will likely be at night.  But they have significant offense problems.

The Big Ten West team that scares me the most is Nebraska.  They won't be 2021 Nebraska.

Baring key injuries, we should be 11-0 or 10-1 heading to Columbus for all the marbles.

I'll give the Big Ten this: they fixed their previous mistake.  From 2014-19 we were playing MSU and OSU on the same rotation, which meant that our home schedule on even years was terrible.  MSU had the same problem on odd years (playing both UM and OSU on the road).  Flipping the game in 2020 made both schools' schedules more consistent.

Very similar since neither this year's Washington or next year Iowa will have an offense. I'd expect our offense to be able to put up 30 on everyone next year, defense is the question. Don't give up 30 to Iowa should be a pretty easy challenge.

I'd much rather play Iowa in game 4 than say MSU, PSU, or Nebraska that might actually be able to challenge us in a shootout.

Also, we will have a bye week the week before MSU...like they got this year.

Overall the schedule sets up nice for us again next year.

First true test will be on the road at Iowa. Championship game rematch. Then we go on the road the next week, get PSU at home...then our bye.

Any chance they will force us to play another P5 non-conference game?  Our current slate is absolutely horrible.

Colorado State, Hawaii and UConn are horrible and boring at the same time.  At least play a Michigan MAC team which is slightly more interesting.

If you look at FBSCHEDULES...

Everything between Iowa and OSU will be shuffled around.

I tried to share this was coming out and changing before the break and this board COOKED me for sharing stuff everyone already knows.

But here we are...

I will share that the home/away change from that site (which I learned the hard way, has already been announced), MSU will be at home and IU on the road.

Hawaii is in turmoil right now.

They don't have a stadium, they were playing at their practice field. Michigan would fill that up with just parents and staff who wanted to travel.

They need to knock the Aloha Stadium over and rebuild it.

They also had an abusive coach who ran like 16 guys out.

They're going to be awful next year.

Yes, sadly Hawaii is playing at a venue that allows an attendance smaller than many high school football fields. Their practice facilities are woeful. They can't find funding anywhere to fix the mess that is Aloha Stadium. And yes, their football program went from great in June Jones, to worse in Norm Chow, to slightly better in Nick Rolovich until he took off- now it's a dumpster fire. It's a shame that a place so beautiful has such a mess on their hands.
