PSU is a 7.5 point favorite
Also, Devin Bush got a touchdown.
October 13th, 2019 at 8:57 PM ^
How many td's for Bush is that tonight?
October 13th, 2019 at 9:59 PM ^
“Threeve” lol...great era for snl
October 13th, 2019 at 8:58 PM ^
For context, Harbaugh is winless at Michigan when playing as the underdog
October 13th, 2019 at 9:00 PM ^
Is that right? Has he beaten OSU?
October 13th, 2019 at 9:35 PM ^
Misread that
October 14th, 2019 at 1:39 AM ^
I'm not sure about his record vs. OSU, but I've heard he doesn't have a very good record against top 10 teams. Can anyone around here confirm?
October 13th, 2019 at 9:00 PM ^
Opportunity to end several streaks at once in this one. Time to end the road misery
October 14th, 2019 at 3:14 AM ^
Like a revenge tour?
October 13th, 2019 at 9:36 PM ^
Up until yesterday James Franklin had never won a game against a ranked opponent on the road
October 13th, 2019 at 9:48 PM ^
And Joe Moorehead isn't walking through that door.
I think we have a decent shot on Saturday. The offense has to gel eventually, right? No time like the present.
October 13th, 2019 at 9:45 PM ^
Hoke was also virtually winless as an underdog (hard to count the meaningless Northwestern 2013 game, especially when they do it with that ridiculous fire drill field goal). I believe Rich Rod's only win as an underdog was against Wisconsin, in the first month of his first season.
Michigan football players simply aren't as motivated as their peers are by being an underdog. We can speculate on why that is but it is not really deniable.
October 13th, 2019 at 10:03 PM ^
Tough when no coach or player has ever done it on the team...kind of creates a downward spiral, or a culture of choking. It’s like the opposite of a team that has a magic season and plays way above their level. I mean, imagine if you were a RS senior on this team, and you’ve never seen your team win in one of these tough games. Wouldn’t you always have some doubt?
October 13th, 2019 at 10:33 PM ^
No coach or player has ever done it? Harbaugh won plenty as a player in tough road environments..
I bet Ryan day and his playing days at new Hampshire really is resonating with his players to get them to perform.
October 14th, 2019 at 9:05 AM ^
I work with one of the Univ of TN all time greats and he actually mentioned to me (when I asked his opinion on Michigan) that we don't "know how to win". They haven't done it in the big games and just don't have the belief almost that it can happen.
October 14th, 2019 at 9:47 AM ^
Ask that great about Florida.
October 14th, 2019 at 10:06 AM ^
I wonder how he feels about his program...
October 13th, 2019 at 10:33 PM ^
Why you disrespect Drew Dileo?
October 13th, 2019 at 11:06 PM ^
Exactly! “...ridiculous fire drill”? That was quick thinking and awesome teamwork. Great slide into position by the holder!
October 13th, 2019 at 10:35 PM ^
I'm pretty sure that ND was a 3.5 point favorite when we beat them in Hoke's first year.
Not sure what the betting line was on the Nebraska game that year, but they were #16 in the country, four spots ahead of us, when we beat them by 28.
(I believe that we were slight favorites over a higher-ranked VT squad in the Sugar Bowl--although that game was every bit as ugly as the win over NU that you mentioned.)
October 14th, 2019 at 8:18 AM ^
You are right about ND 2011. I just noticed the study I found cited underdog records since the beginning of 2012, covering most but not all of the Hoke era.
Michigan's underdog record since '12? 1-20.
October 14th, 2019 at 11:26 PM ^
No need for facts please, we already know the story, no need for facts. Hoke was terrible and it's Carr's fault that Rich Rod sucked. Also, the only reason Hoke won in his first year is because Rich Rod sucked for 3 years. See, it's perfectly logical.

It doesn’t help that Michigan is usually overrated by the betting lines.
October 14th, 2019 at 8:13 AM ^
It might be simply because we're Michigan. We still have a lot of rep, especially with the coaches. Also, coach Harbaugh has a lot of rep, he's done some good things as a coach. It's a curse
October 14th, 2019 at 10:08 AM ^
Michigan beat Notre Dame as an underdog 3 STRAIGHT YEARS from 2009 to 2011.
October 14th, 2019 at 11:48 PM ^
Carr's teams won quit a bit as underdogs, even on the road. I recall from an article written last year, that UM was 4-22 as underdogs since 2008, so add the ND game from last year and Wisconsin game and we're at 4-24.
October 13th, 2019 at 10:21 PM ^
Thanks. This is totally new information that has never been posted before. ?
October 13th, 2019 at 10:46 PM ^
But he’s 2-4 ats in those games. Is this right? Has Harbaugh only been an underdog 6 times in 4.5 years?
October 14th, 2019 at 12:16 AM ^
It's crazy that JH hasn't won as an underdog here considering that his Stanford team pulled off one of the biggest upsets in the modern era (at Southern Cal). No disrespect to App St.
October 14th, 2019 at 9:04 AM ^
Or Toledo?
October 13th, 2019 at 9:01 PM ^
Why is nobody talking about the fact that Devin Bush scored a touchdown?
October 13th, 2019 at 9:04 PM ^
The deep state wants to keep it a secret. If people find out about Bush’s TD, they will start uncovering the truth about the earth being flat.... think about it
October 13th, 2019 at 10:21 PM ^
Someone needs to start a thread.
October 13th, 2019 at 11:59 PM ^
He is basically Devin Dangerfield Bush. The guy just gets no respect, I tell ya.
October 13th, 2019 at 9:02 PM ^
Oh no, we suck again!
October 13th, 2019 at 9:04 PM ^
Better that than Michigan have the fat head. The game will be settled on the field.
October 13th, 2019 at 9:08 PM ^
The smart money will come in on Michigan to cover. Will be 6 by gameday. And those wise investors won't even need that...
October 13th, 2019 at 10:48 PM ^
Your crap thread from last week leads me to not believe you
October 13th, 2019 at 9:08 PM ^
So the exact same line as 2017? Perfect.
October 13th, 2019 at 9:09 PM ^
At least we’re not Tennessee amirite guys?
Also fuck Tennessee.
October 13th, 2019 at 9:13 PM ^
Good thing Aubrey transferred to a winning program
October 13th, 2019 at 9:57 PM ^
He's getting paid so I doubt he minds too much.
October 14th, 2019 at 1:44 AM ^
Pretty sure he's getting to skip out on academic requirements. I largely blame my own state's educational system for not preparing kids to cut it at a school like Michigan.
October 14th, 2019 at 8:54 AM ^
???
Aubrey was perfectly suited to cut Michigan.
October 13th, 2019 at 9:12 PM ^
I think PSU will cover that, Michigan simply doesn't show up for these road games since Carr left.
What a garbage evening slate next Saturday. Good thing ASU vs Utah is on the PAC12 network. It'd be nice to have something decent to flip two once the wheels start to wobble.
October 14th, 2019 at 8:50 AM ^
Your dedication to Michigan is truly admirable.
October 14th, 2019 at 9:12 AM ^
I think espn fpi has it right. We have about a 20% chance to win. Probably also a 20% chance of a Wisconsin repeat.
October 13th, 2019 at 9:14 PM ^
I could see a dumb win where we get a bunch of good bounces. Just by pure chance they’ve gotta win one of these tough road games one day. It will be the best defense they’ve played by some distance but ultimately I’ll trust this team on the road when they win one and not a second before. 28-17 PSU
October 13th, 2019 at 9:15 PM ^
For some reason I'm actually confident Michigan will win this week. I think this is the week where it all kind of comes together and Penn St plays tight with an undefeated record and national spotlight.
