Pay the man and lock him up.

Spectacular performance by the boys defending our end zone.

Their RBs made hay going through the middle all game, and all of Milroe's scrambles for yards went straight up the gut.  But a called running play on 4th and goal from the 3?  Yeah, not a smart play call.  The formation had everyone bunched up - Sainristil and Moore filled the left edge when Stewart put Proctor on skates and Moore literally carried the LG to the tackle.

Great defensive call from Minter on that play!

In my view, that was the call Saban had to go with.

Milroe might have panicked on a pass with any pressure.  That is not his strength at all.  Plus, you do not go backwards dropping into the pocket from the 3.  And they used motion to clear out the LBs, so if Milroe had gotten ANY tiny hole, he as scoring.

He got no hole. But it was a good call and a well-designed play.  But Michigan simply won every assignment at the line of scrimmage.

My thought: it was the best of bad options for bama to run Milroe. Why? The field is shorter with the end zone, Michigan adjusted the coverage/stunts to cover the flats. So, why not put the ball in milroes hands and see if he can get a lane.

but our dline and defense played like the monsters they are !

Totally agree - Jesse M has been a huge reason for our success over the last 2 seasons

A great game plan and great execution - it is a big part of the difference this year.

Should be the highest paid assistant in CFB.  Doing this with 3* and 4* vs the paid up front mercenaries flush with 5* who live on 3rd base.

Special shout out to John Harbaugh and MacDonald who I think gave JM some whispers on how to attack a running QB based on you know - what they coach daily. I love this pipeline - Ravens year after year top 5 defense.

Retain this man and if JH moves on, would prefer Minter as HC. Doesnt have the flash but has the design.

I know that there has been gripes about HS recruiting, but the results of the past years should help us with solid portal recruiting.

As Harbaugh noted, the players talk with each other now. The guys who want to advance to the next level want to play for a team that can actually teach and develop them. Alex Minter is part of that - really teaching and developing the players.

Epic performance by the Michigan Defense tonight.   They had to spend too much time on the field in the second half tonight and still got it done in a convincing way.

He'll probably move on at some point - but I'll appreciate every game he coaches. Man, he's good.

That was Nick fucking Saban he schooled out there.

All these coaches deserve incredible praise - for development,  for culture, for scheme, for cohesion. Best coaching staff in football, and I'm not sure it's close.

Well done, Jesse Minter! Milroe is going to be seeing winged helmets in his nightmares.

What a phenomenal last 3 years it’s been with him and McDonald, but this is by far the best D of all.  Perfect game plan to stunt a mediocre OLine and inaccurate QB, then switch to bull rush primarily in the second half.  We lost contain on Milroe a couple times but, largely kept him contained, as well as anyone could expect. He Kept the heat on him all game, a drop back pass was almost always a negative play for them.

Amazing coach, amazing game plan, back up the brinks truck!

Ever notice how Harbaugh has always put Sherrone in the spotlight. Said he’s ready to be a great head coach. Singing his praises but doesn’t talk about Minter. I think he does this purposely because he knows what an ace in the pocket Minter is and wants him to keep a low profile.

He's been great continuing and advancing the Macdonaldian tradition at UM.  But, my goodness UM is so much more fun to watch with a defensive line full of monsters.  Whether that's Glen Steele or Mason Graham/Kris Jenkins/Kenneth Grant.

I mean, I think anyone with even passing knowledge of college football has to acknowledge this as a very dominant defense.  Great talent, play together as fingers on a fist, and really well-coached.
