There's a mustachioed and goggle wearing "young man" from LA named Jimmy LeBron, and a new mustachioed and goggle wearing recruit from Iowa named Clark Cait, and also this phenom from Michigan wearing goggles and heavy application of just for men touch of gray named Howard Juan. The three of them are all being touted as NBA ready one-and-dones, but should help out the transition for Coach Novak's first season

Thank you for trying Reed; best of luck wherever you end up.

The good news is that another scholarship is available for a player willing to come here and help fix the mess left behind.

We officially were bringing in 3 high school recruits over a 2 season span? We just lost one of them in GW3. Who are the adults in the room that were advising Juwan that this was the correct move? So many failures at so many levels including a previous head coach letting Juwan possibly go into next season with 4-5 scholarships unfilled? There was a zero % chance he was getting 10 wins + if he stayed and these transfers stayed with him.

Are scholarship limits even an issue?  Brian brought this up re football.  I assume, but I don't know, that like in football NIL has made scholarship limits all but meaningless in basketball.  Just sign as many guys as you want and give NIL cash, instead of scholarships, to those "over the limit."

MgrowOld reporting for duty sir.

Pro's: Michigan man, 6'4', once dunked a ball in a intramural game over Curtis Greer

Con's: 64 years old, bad knees & one fake hip, havent played competitive basketball in almost 30 years, was a back-up in high school.  Cant shoot, cant jump, cant really run

MeanJoe reporting

Mean. Aggressive on the court. A "slasher".  Can literally hang on the rim once I get there. Sticks on defenders by latching on to their legs. Goes hard in the paint.

Is a Chlamydia riddled Koala. Bites. Can't jump. Very small.  Poor floor spacing. Can't hold a basketball. "Hard in the paint" doesn't mean what you think. Locker room cancer.

VaBlue reporting for duty.  (heh heh, I said doody...)

I'll sign up for the PG position - I'll be like X and Dug, in that I'm short.  Shorter than they were, but hey - so long as I've got MGrowOldtimer filling the post and a slashing Koala  Bear in the role of Barkley, we should be okay.

I did not play in high school, but I did in 7th and 8th grade.  Considering the team we just witnessed, I'm confident in my ability to compete.

I will just assume everyone is gone unless they state they are coming back.  In all honesty I would be completely fine with 13 new guys. They would most likely win win more than 8 games.

While the recent news regarding MBB players sucks, there should be some optimism. We are at the absolute low point in program history. I like Tarris and certainly wish him the best , but I also like the idea of cleaning house and starting totally fresh. We will suck next year too but a rebuild in basketball can happen very quickly with the right coach(es) in place. I'm cautiously excited for this next chapter.

Seems like we had the option to be a terrible team with Howard as the coach next year, but maybe keep a couple of guys, or be a terrible team next year with someone else as a coach and lose additional players.  Neither is great, but the second choice is better for the long term as long as we get the correct new coach.

Team is going to be unrecognizable next year, but that's not a bad thing necessarily.

Assuming the hire is a current CBB coach given the portal, would assume he brings a few guys with him. Maybe a recruit or 2 as well. Still going to be a bad team next year again.

It's bad for my 10 year old son, he loved Dug and Reed. Young fans need some consistency, I don't even know if he wants to make our annual trip to AA to watch basketball next year if he doesn't know anyone on the roster and his favorite players have left. I don't even have the heart to tell him, this stuff does matter, just not to us adults who are locked in passionate Michigan fans. Thanks God for last football season and watching every game with my son and Dad!
