No Lee Corso, does this mean…

No Lee Corso, does this mean Nick goes from Bama to head gear guy next year?  I might tune in for that.

I am all for anybody and…

I am all for anybody and everybody suing the NCAA until they break. Go Reggie go!  Even if he loses, keep the lawsuits coming.  The NCAA is happy to put the screws to folks who don’t fight back.  They can only bale so much water out of the sinking ship so keep punching new holes.

Watching ESPN and Thamel…

Watching ESPN and Thamel seems to be catching some deserved boos.  Does he intentionally shave his eyebrows to look like Mr. Spock?  Was hoping Adam Schefter would punch him in the face but no luck.  Can’t wait to see if Thamel and 3rd base get chummy when they interview 3rd base about Harrison Jr. BFF’s who broke the scandal together again!

Also, Reggie Bush files a…

Also, Reggie Bush files a lawsuit and the NCAA backs down, Tennessee takes action and the NCAA backs down, Michigan does nothing and the NCAA grinds them into the ground for cheeseburgers and signs…. I love Michigan but can somebody please grow a pair and fight.  The NCAA must be going broke because they sure don’t seem interested in paying for lawsuits so why not file one and find out.

Sparty seems way overrated,…

Sparty seems way overrated, apparently the scandal factor is not well weighed vs other areas but even then maybe I’m missing something.  Or maybe it just means they are very attractive to lower conferences like the MAC or CUSA.  They should consider leaving the Big Ten, looks like the PAC 2 may be a good fit as well, they can still come back to Michigan stadium from time to time to pick up a nice OOC check when they volunteer to get whacked.  Plus their coach has PAC 2 ties so that’s a nice boost!

Has anyone with an axe to…

Has anyone with an axe to grind hired a PI firm to get to the bottom of this yet??? Does anyone know of a “tough” guy who might be willing to spearhead this investigation in a covert manner?  MLB needs tread carefully until Petty Tony has advised them on how to handle what could possibly evolve into the new biggest scandal in the history of sports. Is there a chance the NFL would be willing to suspend Harbaugh since none of this came to light until he got to LA so surely this is not a coincidence. When will Pete Thamel release more info?  Time for the Dodgers to get the Michigan treatment?  Probably not since ESPN has a contract with MLB.  MLB really knows how to kick off the season, stealing some March Madness thunder.

I agree with Bacon that he…

I agree with Bacon that he continues to know nothing, glad he continues to remind us.

budg man I completely agree,…

budg man I completely agree, plus steel sharpens steel.  Play 1-2 tough OOC games early and find out what needs to be tweaked so the team is stronger heading into the conference games and increase the chances of winning the conference.  I did not feel the team learned much from the weak OOC home games last season and they were very boring to attend.  As a season ticket holder I have been looking forward to the Texas home game for some time and miss the early season OOC home games against higher quality opponents (like the Notre Dame games).  With more playoff spots available Big Ten teams that lose 2-3 games with 1-2 losses early in the season to higher quality opponents should still have a fair shot at the playoffs even if they don’t win the conference.  3-4 Big Ten teams should make the playoffs moving forward and strength of schedule should matter (unless it’s OSU then they will get a pass).  While I realize this coming season looks much tougher overall at home than last season I’d still rather have better OOC home matchups for 1-2 games per season.

Digging for the truth?

Digging for the truth?

Great comp!  He also looks…

Great comp!  He also looks like the guy Thamel identified as the head of the PI firm Day hired to uncover the greatest scandal in the history of sports.  Still waiting for the investigation that reveals the firm and the direct connection to Day but I’m sure that is not enough of a story and would require Thamel to actually work for something.

Petty Tony and his new BFF…

Petty Tony and his new BFF Warde…. So I guess this means nobody will ever uncover the PI firm and who hired them to begin with.  Nothing to see here, mission accomplished, right guys??!! They are both tired weasels.  Warde is too busy pinching pennies while screwing the future of the program and Petty is too busy patting himself on the back for being such a righteous peacemaker.  They both got promoted to their level of professional incompetence.  Sad to see Warde regressing back to his mean of acquiescing to the his real bosses, Tony and the NCAA.  I hope they forgive him for pretending to be tough.  Leaders and Best, I think not!

I agree, this is good for…

I agree, this is good for him and for Michigan.  He proves himself away from Jim and gets ready to come back to Michigan later!

This is their idea of a…

This is their idea of a distraction from the Harbaugh news.  Coach left, here is your increased seat cost, and don’t forget, National Championship!!!!  I’ll still pay it…. Sad day but still love Michigan Football.

NotADuck you are spot on. …

NotADuck you are spot on.  If the NFL gave him the control he wants he would have left a while ago before even this year.  The teams might want him but he is likely asking for a lot more in that regard than they will want to give him as I am sure it will need to be in the contract.  He is in a great spot as he knows he has a great job regardless so he can ask for the moon and see if any NFL teams will sign up for it.  I do not think they will and hope that is the case.  Stay Jim, stay!

I am with you CW.  Let him…

I am with you CW.  Let him check what’s out there.  Let’s not forget a few years ago it seemed nobody wanted Harbaugh even Michigan so good for him to remind himself and us what a great job he has done by listening to the NFL.  In the end he will reconfirm what we and he already know, he has a great job at a great place where he has a lot of say and now a President who gets how important the program is to the University.  Good luck getting all of that at a 3-5 year stint with any NFL team.  I seriously doubt they will check enough boxes to get him to leave but if they do then great for him, he deserves it.  Nothing that happens today or tomorrow or after will take away the absolute joy it has been to be a Michigan fan the last 3 years.  Thank you Jim Harbaugh and please stay!

Thank you Coach!  You came…

Thank you Coach!  You came back when the program was struggling to be relevant and restored respect.  When times got tough you dug your heals in and made the changes needed to take the program to a 3 year level we could not have realistically imagined.  Now you have delivered a National Championship!  All the while you find the time and energy to advocate for ALL student athletes, drawing a target on your back for the NCAA and Big Ten to take unwarranted shots at you and the program.  You have grown and earned a voice that must be heard!  Thank you for creating so many moments of joy for this old guy to share with his son.  You were a great Michigan player and now you are truly a Michigan legend.  Best wishes to you and your family.  You can do anything you want but please know that you are an agent of change that college sports needs.  I hope you stay but will keep cheering for you no matter what you do.  Thank you!

Time for the Tide downturn…

Time for the Tide downturn to begin/continue.  With NIL in play Alabama’s days of dominance have been starting to fade.  To his credit he played the bag game well and had a great run but it would be nice to see them hit the skids for a while.  Glad Michigan sent him out with memorable loss!

Go Bloo?! WTF, this add…

Go Bloo?! WTF, this add campaign may run into issues…..

The best team they played…

The best team they played all season long was the Michigan Wolverines in practice day in and day out, pushing themselves to greatness!  The other teams never stood a chance….

You are spot on.  He is an…

You are spot on.  He is an ass and I’m being nice.  I too noticed how he tried to call the hold “ticky tack”.  Since he was so invested in his and Thamel’s joy in burying Michigan all year long it was fun to watch him have to back pedal now that Michigan not only won it all but really won going away.  Would have loved to hear him as he watched his beloved Bama sputter and fail in getting steam rolled in the epic Rose Bowl overtime. Sorry Rece!  I know since he went to Bama that he doesn’t count all of the players they bought before NIL as breaking any rules (wink, wink, nod, right Rece, only counts as cheating if you get caught, right).  But he sure loved calling out Michigan for “cheating” with “game changing” sign stealing (but at the end of that rant of his weeks ago he smiled at the camera and said, “allegedly” so it’s ok to accuse).

Hey Rece, take a look at the scoreboard, what do you see?  Michigan is National Champion!  Where is Bama? Oh yeah, at home hoping this isn’t the beginning of the end…. Saban is getting old and it’s no fun “competing” when all schools can now legitimately pay players.

Watching him have to use his nice and supportive words towards Michigan tonight was just another feather in the National Championship hat!

Stay classy Rece and like they say in your neck of the woods “Bless Your Heart” which I think is supposed to be a nice way of saying you’re a F*%#ing idiot?  If not then to be clear, you’re a F*%#ing idiot!

Beat Washington, NOTHING…

Beat Washington, NOTHING else matters!

I see Woodson standing next…

I see Woodson standing next to Warde in a suite.  I am not skilled enough to grab the image and upload it but if you look just above the digital red banner that is one level above the digital banner that says taquitos you will see them.  I think to the left of that suite is the Big Ten suite.

I think you make some very…

I think you make some very good points. Part of what makes the Rose Bowl great is that the game starts in the daylight so the surrounding scenery can be enjoyed on site and on TV.  So for it to be the site of the National Championship game and maintain the charm it would need to start early enough and either be on January 1st or find a way to play it on a non NFL playoff Saturday.  Not sure that is feasible.  Also, with SoFi nearby I think it would be a challenge for the Rose Bowl to compete as the Championship venue when it sadly ends up being more of corporate decision as it seems the decision makers like the new shiny venues.  Too bad as the Rose Bowl is college football.  I do think it will be an eternal playoff site but will be shocked if it becomes the Championship site even though that would be very cool if it could work out.

Why does it take anonymity…

Why does it take anonymity to speak candidly about who will win this game? Another round of great investigative journalism by Feldman!  Can’t wait for the post game anonymous follow up article.  He seems to have the market cornered on anonymous “reporting”.

I have been to many games at…

I have been to a few great games at the Rose Bowl but I do not recall it ever being as loud as it was yesterday late in the game.  The crowd was incredible for both teams.  Fantastic experience magnified by the ending!  It was great to watch the main broadcast version this morning. Recorded all versions of the broadcast so still have a few more to go.  Should be a great week of viewing while we wait for Monday night. Already can’t wait!

I thought the punter was…

I thought the punter was incredibly courageous to continue to play after such a horrific acting job on his flop. To his credit he set aside his pride and did not even fake limp the rest of the game.  I think the ref may have thought to throw a flag but not after that poor flop job, thank you ref and thank you punter!

100% spot on correct and well stated! Glad I read yours instead of trying to write it myself.

Thank you for your service!…

Thank you for your service! I can’t type more, running out of breath from laughing… Well done Sir!

This anonymous quote …

This anonymous quote “journalism” is total BS. He can write whatever he wants and say it’s a quote and there is nobody to confirm or deny any of it is legit.  We are just supposed to blindly believe him?  Just because somebody has a job that pays them to write stories doesn’t prove it is real. The question I would have liked asked is why anyone should believe this cowardly BS “story” at all.  The only thing I think I believe is that Feldman is basically just a creative writer looking for crumbs of attention.  I guess it worked so keep up the good “work”!

Harbaugh: “This stage is for…

Harbaugh: “This stage is for real men”

Pettiti: “It’s ok that is not a requirement for being the commissioner, I’ll just stand in the back, I’m all about ratings and clicks anyway”

He’s ultra soft and he…

He’s ultra soft and he proved it tonight so in the end he fits the narrative of the mob he follows…. Losers follow, he did not deserve to be on the same stage as real men. Glad he showed his cowardice on the national stage so all could see.  Now he can go back to slap and tickle with Thamel as they hide out in the shadows swapping “insider” info.

If Washington jumps to #1…

If Washington jumps to #1 then Michigan goes to the Sugar Bowl…

I think you think they would…

I think you think they would not play and I thank you for playing along.  Your response is just what will make it work, thank you

The intent wasn’t to not…

The intent wasn’t to not play but apply further pressure to avoid any penalties without due process before they are handed out. Do you really think the TV money would allow a game to not happen? Why not bluff now and make everyone else sweat for a while.  Worst case the players are “convinced” to play and fight for the good of the program.

Brought this up in another…

Brought this up in another thread but maybe more relevant here: What kind of control or power do the players have in this situation?  What is to keep them from saying that if the Big Ten chooses to punish Michigan without due process that they simply collectively won’t play on Saturday or until further notice?  Can anyone force them to play?  If they say this now before any action is taken couldn’t Fox Sports step in and let the Big Ten Commissioner know that if Michigan does not play because he chooses to break Big Ten protocol that they will file their own lawsuit for breach of contract and damages?  I think that there is no way Fox Sports would allow this to happen at all.  Why should Michigan have to pay attorneys to fight this fool, let the real money players handle this for them.  Sorry if this has been brought up already.  I just think the potential threat of this could stop the mess before it goes any further.  Crush me if I am out of line.
