Klatt on Cowherd: Actually covering OSU/RU stealing UM's signs

Submitted by othernel on November 8th, 2023 at 4:36 PM

Slowly, but surely, the other teams in this collusion are getting some coverage (not on ESPN).

Klatt is also putting Petitti on blast, and saying if he tries to circumvent the process, he's going to look like a clown when more info comes out.

I'd like to put this on the record, just to be clear- fuck espn, all the pea-brained talking heads there, Pet-titty, Ohio state, and the big ten.

Having said that, I like Klatt, cowherd, and fox sports.....for now

The tide is changing quickly. Had Michigan rolled over and villianized themselves (like the Michigan of old) we would be mocked and piled on by everyone in the media. I'm so happy to see my favorite University fighting back. Even if they get Petitti to back down, they should go on the offensive. You don't get to defame and drag the Michigan name in the dirt with zero consequences. I hope the rest of this conference enjoys the bed they made. Time to lie in it.

"You don't get to defame and drag the Michigan name in the dirt with zero consequences."

As an alum - and parent of current Michigan students - there are a few things that I place very high value in.  Ethics, integrity, and honesty are certain characteristics which are very important to me.

When I was a student (in the College of Engineering) - I wrote the following on every bluebook exam I took - "I have neither given nor received aid on this exam" - which was followed with my signature.

If Harbaugh says "I am not aware of this", I take him at his word.

Hopefully Michigan could get injunctive relief if Petitti suspends Harbaugh. Perhaps I'm in the minority but I'd like to see Pettiti act this week.  I believe that the relationship between Michigan and the B1G may be irreversibly broken and I'd like the opportunity to go after some of the holier than thou teams looking to hang Michigan and Harbaugh. A suit would provide that opportunity and the ball would be in Michigan's court to call off the dogs and settle or continue on through a trial.

With a suit filed, the discovery process would begin and every email, text, letter, video, conversation, what have you would become fair game through interrogatories and depositions. While the suit would be a civil matter, lying under oath is perjury and that is criminal.  I suspect the can of worms that would be opened would create problems for many programs, particularly the fuckers in Columbus.  I'd love to see them squirm and perhaps be responsible for monetary damages should such damages be established.

As mad as I am, and I'm more than plenty pissed, I feel terrible for the players who through no fault of their own, have to deal with this garbage which tarnishes what might be the best team in program history.

Thank you for letting me rant.

Rumor is FoxSports has told the BigTen that Michigan football makes everyone $ and they'll be pissed off to the point of impacting business decisions if the BigTen overreacts or is rash.

Well, the conclusion is a rumor, but the fact is that they paid an enormous amount of money to broadcast the game and a reasonable person would assume they would complain if someone screwed it up by acting prematurely, irrationally, and without due process.

For as long as I can remember, the NCAA and Big 10 generally take years to get through an investigation.  There is no reason to rush this given past precedent.

Is that a rumor or just a out-loud-statement of basic logic? The rumor, or reality, that I'd like to hear is whether or not Fox Sports is exploring legal action (alongside Michigan and Harbaugh) against the B1G for actual monetary damages if they pursue some idiotic punishment like a head coach suspension or conference title ineligibility. Petitti's lack of backbone might cost Fox tens-of-millions of dollars.

where are we at with the process? is the 48 hour after the big ten notice to Michigan approaching ? If the Big ten does pull the trigger is there enough time to counter this before Saturday.

I'm sure this has been discussed somewhere but havent ran across it.

Well, Petitti kind of looks like a less entertaining version of Pagliacci now. If he pursues this, he'll just look like WGN's Bozo, but unfriendly to children and ruthlessly mocked whenever he shows his face on stage.

I wonder what the clowns on 97.1 are saying about this.  I know Stoney called for Harbaugh to be fired and then has him on their show and doesn't mention it.
