The 60% stat is insane! Is that measured by scholarship players or all roster spots?

I'm curious what the percent of players in the NFL Day, Urban, Saban, Dabo, Smart, etc. have sent and how Harbaugh compares. It feels like he's been top 3.

Just over an hour after…

Just over an hour after posting and the Kickstarter has almost 3x the goal with 650+ backers...yeah, I think we're in agreement!

The game was a missed…

The game was a missed opportunity caused by missed opportunities. Sure, it would have been nice to try to take a 3-possession lead or tie the game on one of the 4th downs (no guarantee Badgley would make the kicks). The bigger problems were running the ball on 3rd and goal, the dropped INT, dropped 4th down conversion, and fumble on their own 25. If ANY of those go the other way, they at worst have a chance with 40 seconds left and at best are in a commanding lead going into the 4th quarter.

It's different with a HC…

It's different with a HC change. Also, the culture has been stay and help the team win. Well, the team won. Harbaugh is pursuing a dream he's always had an has a great shot at because of his abilities. It sucks that he's taking Minter and Herbert, but it's hard to blame them, especially with how close Harbaugh and Herbert are. Early realistic expectations for UM are probably to finish in the top 15 or 20, this is the year they build the new foundation for the future.

I thought the same, but I…

I thought the same, but I was impressed by his performance in this one. It's worth a watch!

Totally agree. He was known…

Totally agree. He was known as being an incredibly hard working teammate, I was looking forward to his development after the promise he showed as a freshman. Hopefully this shows how much progress the rest of the group (Hall, Mullings, maybe Cabana and/or Dunlap) have made rather than being an indictment to him.

It's not about making sure…

It's not about making sure Michigan doesn't win the B1G again, it's about the TV revenue from UM playing in marquee matchups with the new teams. With UW, USC, and OSU losing their QB next year they will take a step back, unless they get a plug-and-play transfer. The conference will be winnable, but it depends who comes back as well. Even if UM doesn't win the conference, they'll hopefully get a CFP berth too.

Go back to 50-46, that score…

Go back to 50-46, that score is physically possible with a Peppers vs. MSU-style defensive score.

I completely agree with this…

I completely agree with this (I said 31-20), I don't have confidence in UM putting the right wrinkles in at the right times yet. Saban also has a long time to figure out how to stop everything UM has shown and predict the wrinkles. As much as I think JJ is a top 5 college QB, I don't think he's ready to read a Saban defense yet.

31-20 Bama wins. Call me…

31-20 Bama wins. Call me pessimistic, but I don't like the idea of Moore vs. Saban with a month to prepare, even if there are things Michigan is saving in their offense. Moore will plan some wrinkles to get one step ahead, but Saban will already be have his team prepared for them. JJ throws at least one pick and gives Bama good field position.

Moore is a sophomore, is he…

Moore is a sophomore, is he transferring?

I haven't heard of a player…

I haven't heard of a player coming back to the school they transferred from. If he had a "grass isn't greener" realization, didn't like the Partridge hire after spring ball, or likes his chances on the depth chart better this year, maybe he'd be open to a return, but I agree it's unlikely. I also wonder what impact that would have on the team chemistry. We had someone quit my college baseball team then rejoin it the next year, and there was definitely some resentment.

He's had enough of his hints…

He's had enough of his hints come true that I trust what he says, but I think Partridge talking about the investigation was something that nobody could have predicted and changed everything. I can see Michigan waiting until the offseason to release all of the information they have so there's time to investigate, plus now the precedent is set that the HC can be held accountable for university missteps. I'm still optimistic about the information that UM has on OSU (and potentially other universities).

Isaiah has been clear from…

Isaiah has been clear from the start that he is just passing along what his sources say. Everything changed when Partridge broke the rule on speaking about an ongoing NCAA investigation. He's dropped hints multiple times on things that have come to pass (like Alex Yood being the leak), but since this issue involves an NCAA investigation, revealing sources or detailed knowledge would probably cause a lot more problems.

I'm holding out hope that…

I'm holding out hope that there is an ulterior motive that Michigan leadership decided on and is keeping close to the chest. Maybe UM was okay with the precedent being set that head coaches can be held responsible for any violations. Next step is to release the evidence that they have on OSU either before The Game or in the off-season to get Day suspended for the game/this postseason/next season. Surely swapping signs with other teams, giving money to recruits/players, paying for the PI that started this, etc. is worse than a violation for one staff member organizing a way to get the same information that every team has?

Neither Michigan nor OSU…

Neither Michigan nor OSU have notably better SOS or marquee wins compared to UO/UW to justify them being a better team, so a 1-loss conference champion will probably get in over a 1-loss non-champion.

The coaches mentioned are…

The coaches mentioned are responsible for collaborating to steal Michigan's signs and share them amongst multiple teams. The teams and coaches have not been released but will likely be released as Michigan sees fit.

I'm really curious what the…

I'm really curious what the precedent is for a non-staff member violating the bylaws is. As far as I can tell, only the electronic recording of the signals is prohibited, I don't know if that would legally include using the electronic recordings that someone else took.

In-person scouting has clearly been breached, since it was at the behest of a staff member. This feels like vacated wins are coming...

The question is how much…

The question is how much blame can be ascribed to the university if a non-staff member performed the illegal acts, but was directed by a staff member.

It's hard to know what the…

It's hard to know what the future will hold with college football. Look at Alabama this year - their QB is good, but not elite, and they're having a down year. But if Michigan wins 14 this year (Jim would win 11), then they went 12-2 for the next three years, he'd pass Bo.

It's fairly easy to me when Michigan has at least a few sports that are competing for championships. With basketball being done, I'll pay more attention to hockey, gymnastics, and spring football reports/watching highlights of last year. I agree about the relief, there's no more BPONE when the opponent starts to eat away at our 2nd half lead.

@1GoBluePool on Twitter has been tweeting out kick-in-the-nuts plays. It got me thinking that it might be cathartic for us to have Neck Sharpies on the most hated plays in recent memory. Plays plays like JT was short and the ensuing TD, KWIII's TD runs, the DJ Turner missed tackle on Quentin Johnston, etc. could be interesting and healing Neck Sharpies to see. Maybe.

It was a game full of missed opportunities. I can't justify it to myself anymore - TCU played a better game and deserved to win. There were some bad calls, but Michigan had the game in their hands more than once and failed to execute.

Would love to take my dad to his first game in decades! Win or lose I'll be donating since this is the last week, this has been an awesome idea.

He looked down before he…

He looked down before he rolled on the defender, his leg was down just like Thorne's last year on the reversed fumble call (even though I think Thorne fumbled first). It wasn't intentional grounding because of the deflection but it sure looked like a safety.

This call, the missed facemask call that made Texas kick a field goal instead of having a 1st and goal from inside the 5, and the missed holding on Young's scramble were missed calls in key moments. Holdings on the backsides of plays are often missed even on key plays, but these three calls were right in front of the officials in the middle or on the front edge of the play.

He wants to play WR in college so I'm not too concerned about a UM commit beating him while he played DE. However, his hands look like they need improvement to be effective at WR at the college level.

What's stopping us? Michigan…

What's stopping us? Michigan law. High schoolers are not allowed to sign NIL deals in Michigan, and we're not going to back-door it like other universities.

Not golf-related but if you haven't been to Savannah yet it's a must, especially if you're into history at all. It's probably the most beautiful city I've ever seen, and it's laid out perfectly (it's a grid with parks in the middle of every block). My wife and I have been twice and will probably go back again! If you want a higher-class meal, the Olde Pink House was phenomenal.

This is exactly right, the…

This is exactly right, the conference games used to be listed before Covid. They were removed during the schedule realignments, not recently. I saw a picture further down the thread of what it used to look like, but I looked last fall and there were no conference opponents.

I think when he gets to UM…

I think when he gets to UM and starts working with Herbert & co. his speed could improve as well!

I think this is the most…

I think this is the most common reaction. I pitched in college, sat in the upper 80's touching 90 my freshman year. I was in engineering school, and that along with church, family, my girlfriend, and needing to work to pay for school since they didn't have many baseball scholarships (D2) meant that baseball had to go.

I bawled in the parking lot before and after the year-end meeting I had with my coach, it was absolutely gut-wrenching. So while my career ended by my own choice, I think the pain is similar (and the what-if's for playing professionally, as I wasn't far off many players in the draft and was only a freshman).

I found a competitive slow-pitch softball league, although many people I know play fastpitch or modified. I've also gotten into golf, but because I was a pitcher I tend to lean toward softball since I can still throw which was my strongest skill. There are also men's baseball leagues out there, but you won't be able to play in them as long as you can play softball. I think they also take more of a toll, and as someone said in another comment, if you aren't playing professionally then this stage in life becomes more about being healthy rather than sacrificing your body for recreation.

It still hurts me to think about but it gets better over time, and I'm thankful that I have strong faith that helps me realize I have other purposes in life than playing baseball. That's the hardest realization - your dreams of playing as a career are over, and now it's time to be a "regular" person in the workplace. But I've found that even though your physical baseball skills don't translate to the workplace, people will still see you as a special person if you work hard and are a good coworker/employee. I'm not defined by my ability to play baseball anymore (actually I only play in a church league now instead of a competitive one), and that's given me a lot of freedom once I got over how scary it was to not have baseball to lean on. Now, I have to define who I am instead of letting my natural baseball talents do it for me.

Go Blue! This entire year…

Go Blue! This entire year has led up to two final games. Play clean (without penalties and not sloppy with the puck) and I think Michigan comes away with this game. Good luck men!

If he graduated in '23, he'd be able to learn from JJ/Cade in the '23-'24 season (unless Cade transfers and JJ goes pro). Hopefully, he'd be ready to take the reins in '24 - I assume/hope this is the same plan as for Moore right now.

They're only on third-party sites right now, not through U-M or Ticketmaster. I'm not sure if prices will drop when official tickets go on sale, or if it's better to get in now before the school's tickets are released.
